Recommended Posts

The previously announced Feral Druid buffs have been detailed (or at least part of them, there could be more coming later) and they should be coming in the next couple of days or earlier. Brutal SlashBrutal Slash, SwipeSwipe and ThrashThrash are getting 15-20% buffs and there's some bug fixes for BerserkBerserk, Tiger's FuryTiger's Fury and Incarnation: King of the JungleIncarnation: King of the Jungle in relation to them dropping during shapeshifting.

Announcement:

We're currently working through a tuning package for Feral Druids.

Specifically, we're adjusting Feral performance relative to other specs in dungeons and questing. Please know: we've been reading all of the incoming feedback and keeping a close eye on player results in-game.

Thank you for all of this feedback. Much of it has been very useful in determining the substance of this adjustment.

This is something that we're testing carefully, and probably won't be finished and available to put into the live game until later this week. I'll let you know as soon as we have final numbers, and I'll post about it a final time when it goes live.

Specifics:

After doing our internal testing, taking into consideration the feedback here and elsewhere, we're now going forward with the following damage increases:

Brutal SlashBrutal Slash: +20% Damage
SwipeSwipe: +15% Damage
ThrashThrash: +15% Damage

We don't have a precise timeframe for this to hit the live game, but we expect it in the next 48 hours or so.

As well, please, i beg you, make berserk stays up when you change the form, countless times i needed to change form to cast a regrowth to buff my bleed damage via bloodtalon (first time), only to see berserk buff vanishing.

Going to send a hotfix soon to fix this. BerserkBerserk should persist through shapeshifting, same as Tiger's FuryTiger's Fury and Incarnation: King of the JungleIncarnation: King of the Jungle. Thanks for pointing it out.

In my opinion those changes are a joke.

Those "buffs" are not gonna do jack squad for feral. Still energy starved, still no way to spend combo points in an aoe situation, still takes ages to ramp up, still no aoe dmg, still no single target dmg, still a single long CD ability for burst. Idk what they are thinking, feral is trash right now, and this very sadly won't change a thing IF it's all they are doing.

What I would like to see:

An AOE finisher. Stop making us dump combo points into single target abilities that deal no dmg when there's a whole pack of mobs. Especially since bfa dungeons tend to be very trash pack heavy. The aoe finisher should deal signigficantly increased dmg to bleeding targets to emphasize the class' bleed playstyle.

Slightly higher energy Regeneration, so that you are actually able to play the talents that are better than others in whatever situation. Right now you can't even unlock Feral's (very low) full potential, since you get extremely energy starved on the way there.

Rework Talent Savage Roar. It technically provides highest dmg of that row right now in many situations. Choosing it though means having to keep up Rake, Rip and Savage Roar at the same time, barely leaving you a chance to cast Ferocious Bite, let alone keeping up Rip on multiple targets. My idea: make Brutal slash strong for 3 or 4+ targets, rework Savage Roar into a passive for dual target: Rake and Rip hit a second target for 75% dmg over the full duration. If Ferocious Bite refreshes the duration of Rip on a target, it's also refreshed a second one. Something like that, prolly needs balancing.

Other than being energy starved, single target works fine, but deals way less dmg than it should. According to what blizz said (weakest dps supposed to be 10% weaker than the strongest one) Feral's single target has to become at least 10% stronger. So maybe some %dmg increases there, additional small mechanics or other things are appropriate.

I like Feral's playstyle, lore, design, looks etc. I wanna see him do well, or at least tolerable again. It has been bottom tier pretty much for the whole last expansion, please dont make it two in a row. I trust in Blizzard to realize that a rework has to happen. Preferably earlier than 8.1 cause otherwise it would mean that feral will be unplayable in Uldir (possible Moonkin too).

So, what do you guys think?

I leveled my Druid with the questing addon to get to 120 fast, to make some gold. What can I say. If it weren't for the addon I would have stopped half way to 120. The only playable spec to level is Guardian. The AoE situation feral is in is just ridiculous and the dmg of my beloved Boomkin was nearly nonexistent. I really like the lore behind all Druid specs but as of now it is no fun to level as Druid

Ny'alotha opened today and we have two cinematics. The first one plays just before the penultimate boss and we see Wrathion and N'Zoth. The second one involves your character and the Kamehameha-esque destruction of N'Zoth.

After the fight against Xanesh, Azshara reveals her plans and tells us how she wanted to stab N'Zoth with Xal'atath, Blade of the Black Empire, but ultimately, she gives the blade to us and Wrathion uses it to stab the God of the Deep and summon Carapace of N'Zoth.
      Raid Finale Cutscene
Battle for Azeroth ends with a short cutscene and a 28 second-long cinematic where your character destroys N'Zoth thanks to the help of Heart of Azeroth.
