Additional Hotfixes: Fetid Devourer M, Warlock Deathbolt Nerfs

Recommended Posts

It seems today's hotfixes went out a little too early as Blizzard have added two more that will be showing up in the next batch. Considering guilds have been keeping Devourer for last and killing all other available bosses, this seems like a good decision.

Iv seen a lot of people screaming about the lock nerf, but I dont really understand it. It was my thought that this was how it was suppose to work for the start and reading it as its said means people found a way to extend their dots beyond their base time (no idea how they would do this) so I know it says its a nerf but honestly i cant see it being that big unless im missing something.

The main CD for affliction lock, Summon Darkglare, would extend the duration of all DoTs when it was summoned.

It is funny how they keep nerfing locks when hunters are still OP AF!

You keep my class out of your dirty little mouth, which goes for everyone!  😉

I get why some nerfs are done, such as the lock extending their DoTs beyond the intent of how the mechanic is supposed to work. Even as a Rogue main, I understand some of the pvp nerfs to assassination in the pre-patch (we were considerably overpowered). But some nerfs don't make a lot of sense, especially when certain specs (such as Prot warrior and shadow priest) are in desperate need of buffs or straight up reworks.

Now don't get me wrong, i understand spriest, (much like assassination) get better with improved gear, but isn't that a problem? Shouldn't all specs improve with stronger gear? it just seems like a spec is poorly designed if it starts mediocre or weak but gets significantly stronger with better gear, or on the flip side, is strong at the start but barely improves with increased gear.
