Doubleagent at Level 117

Recommended Posts

26206-doubleagent-dings-110-on-herb-and-

The legendary Pandaren Doubleagent has never left the Wandering Isle or picked a faction. In Legion, he was the first neutral player in the world to reach level 110 through Herbalism/Mining alone and he's back in Battle for Azeroth, determined to reach level 120!

Patience is a virtue. Or so they say...

Doubleagent is back and he's just dinged level 117! According to his Twitter, the player aims to reach Level 120 on October 27. For more updates you can check out his stream or Twitter. We wish him the best of luck!

I wonder what his bank balance looks like with all the mats he's farmed...

Well, iirc, he can't sell them on the AH cause the turtle is a starter zone and doesn't have one. So that means the herbs and ore he harvests sell at a flat rate. so you could just calculate the xp gained per harvest multiplied by average herb/ore yield per node and you could get a ball park estimate of what his current gold amount is.

If his other chars have the Bronto mount then he can sell it on AH.

All he really needs is a fan with one, not even another character.

I can't believe someone has the patience and time to do this. It's ridiculous.

The unemployment is strong with this one.

This guy is either a college student that doesn't go to class or someone that doesn't work and just plays WoW.

I'm not sure why we are celebrating that.

@geofferson I believe we are bona fide believe in this person has none of the above drawbacks but has an extremely strong will and determination to achieve what none has before and THAT IS admirable, don't you think?

Oh no, someone suggested that he is a (insert typical gamer stereotype, sans the 'mom's basement' comment)!

How original!

He's playing the game in his own way.  I for one think its frickin interesting.  Im willing to bet your level of dedication to any aspect of the game is less.  especially considering his 'reward' is basically just people like me who think its interesting.

Feel free to not pay attention to his progress :\

It's news. I don't think anyone is celebrating it, it's just .. Interesting.

What he does with his life is up to him, I couldn't care less. Not sure why you do?

WoW is a fantastic game because you play it like thw way you want: doing achievs, pvp, pve, doing things in AH ... and the one who likes to do leveling with his profession.

Its not ridiculous, its simply the way he´s having fun in the game.

Not only that but I'm not certain the AH would be accessible to a non-faction character.

I checked out his current profile. He's all decked out in 'looms and such. What puzzles me is he's wearing a Red Linen ShirtRed Linen Shirt . How does he have that? All I can think of is he changed professions for a bit, but for the purpose of the character it seems counter-productive.

Because it's dedicated people like him, that make our gaming community more diverse and interesting. If everyone were just after-work dad and mom players, nobody would hunt rare achievements or even seek challenges beyond the achievement system. So pay respect to the unemployed and lazy college students who make Warcraft a great experience for all of us!

You mean he's engaged in a time sink activity in a game that could largely be considered... a time sink?

Captain Antilles, with all due respect, this is a good old fashioned roast of a dumb guy with a bad take. If you disagree, you can eat all of my butt. I look forward to your reply 3 days after it would be even close to relevant!

100% pretty much what I was thinking! What is sad is that people think this makes the game more interesting, or better. But does it really... I think its just IV needing another article for quota - much like the articles you read on ESPN when its a slow day in sports.

I agree that I made a mistake with the 3 days - didn't realize the posting was quite old. If I would have realized this, I wouldn't have posted.

The rest of your posting just proves my point.

Keys to the Model W is a new mount coming in Patch, rewarded from the Mechagon meta achievement (Mecha-Done).
This tme around, the achievement shouldn't be too hard to complete, because Mechagon is enabled for flying and Blizzard is adding Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two in Rise of Azshara.
      Mechacycle Model W
The rapid technological evolution of the descendents of Mimiron began with the introduction of a new gear, leading to such wonders as the tragically under-produced Model W.

      Animations (Run / Mount Special)
      Do you like the mount?

Players are currently reporting instances of sharding on Classic Beta. Blizzard confirmed this to be a bug, as they're not planning to use sharding in Classic and they came up with a completely new technology to ensure a smooth launch and an authentic Vanilla experience.
      Blizzard (Source)
Seen a couple instances of sharding happening since the last server restart about an hour ago. Blizz, what did you do?
This is a known issue that we are actively investigating. Please continue to report these types of mob-behavior if they are happening in other locations.
They just said it was a bug tho, it’s a beta, this is what we test in a beta.
This is definitely why we do a beta test. We can also do things like reset the realm at a busy time like 4:30pm PDT to try and find the source of a certain issue where a crocolisk is losing it’s brain due to how multiple processes are interacting and mirroring code to form a cohesive world. There were similar types of issues like this back in 2004 but we wanted to try and resolve this one before the weekend for the folks who are testing.

It seems some Vanilla features that weren't that logical but were kept in for Classic are confusing some beta players, as there's a whole lot of issues being reported that aren't actually bugs or issues at all!

Things like Tauren melee reach being bigger, which is something I experienced going away live during Black Temple Illidan progression (at least for that particular encounter), is confusing to players as it's a significant advantage over other races in some instances. No quest tracking is another apparently confusing issue, as many Mankirk's WIfe seekers well know, and there's a whole lot more where that came from:
      Not Bugs (source)
As we’ve discussed before, the nature of WoW Classic sometimes invokes different memories for different players, and this leads to certain misconceptions for some about what is or isn’t working as intended.
The following is a list of commonly-reported gameplay in WoW Classic that is not actually a bug, and is working as we expect it to:
Tauren’s hitboxes and their melee reach is slightly larger than other races. Being critically struck while using /sit to sit does not cause abilities like Enrage, Blood Craze, and Reckoning to activate. Using the “Automatic Quest Tracking” option does not auto-track newly accepted quests. (It instead will start to track an existing quest once progress towards an objective is started.) Warrior health Regeneration is working at the expected rate. Quests objectives and points of interests are not tracked on the map or minimap. Completed quests are marked on the minimap with a dot. (and not a “?”) Feared players and NPCs run fast. Standing on top of other players while facing away allows spells and attacks to be used. Creature respawn rates are much slower than in Battle for Azeroth. NPCs which offer multiple quests may inconsistently display them as a dot or a “!” on the available quests list. They were inconsistent in 1.12, and we’ve reproduced the exact inconsistency they had back then. Quests that are too low level for do not show up as a “!” in the game world. Available quests do not display a “!” on the minimap. On level up, the message: “Your skill in Protection increased to 15” was added in 1.12.1, and we’re intending to keep that. We appreciate all of your feedback!

With Classic Beta live, Blizzard posted a list of known issues that are present in the first build of the game.
If you're participating in the testing and notice a bug that isn't listed below, make sure to report it through the new Bug Reporter, bound to "F6" by default.

Greetings and welcome to the WoW Classic Beta Test!
Below is a list of known issues for the initial WoW Classic Beta release. Please note that this list is not a complete depiction of what we’re aware of, but a sampling of issues we believe players may encounter with some regularity. We’ll try to keep this updated with trending issues when possible.
      Classes and Combat:
Activating Raptor Strike while Auto Shot is toggled on does not cause the hunter to begin to Auto Attack in melee Hunter pets do not auto-cast Dash or Dive when engaging their targets Hunter pets may not immediately return to your side upon entering passive mode Many talents are currently missing their requirements text User Interface:
Attempting to sign into twitter through the interface option crashes the client World map path indicators during transport loading screens may be inaccurate Items with randomly generated stats will display the <Random Enchantment> tag in the loot window and chat tooltips when being looted Creatures and NPCs:
Some creatures in the game world are missing textures Environments:
There is a strip of missing water in the Mosshide Fen area of the Wetlands Dungeons:
There is no water present in the Ironclad Cove area of the Deadmines dungeon If you find any other bugs in-game, we’d like to encourage you to use the in-game bug reporter to send those bug reports off to us before posting bug reports on these forums. For more information about the in-game bug reporter, please see this post:

We noticed the presence of Agents of the Black Prince in Rise of Azshara. This article contains spoilers.
We haven't heard of Wrathion for a long time until now. In Rise of Azshara, we noticed the presence of Blacktalon Watchers in both Nazjatar and during the Essence intro questline, carefully spying on you.

The agent obviously won't tell you anything and tells you to mind your own business.
Go about your business, champion of Azeroth. You and I have no quarrel.
      > What's an agent of the Black Prince doing here? (Gossip Text)
This information isn't mine to give at this time. You have your hands full as it is. Go about your business and you will know more, soon enough.
Magni sends you to Neltharion's Lair in Highmountain to close fissures and recover an Essence that is later used for your Heart of Azeroth. The questline servers as an introduction to Essences and you will get the The Heart Forge achievement upon completion.
During the quest, we are aided by Spiritwalker Ebonhorn who is actually Ebyssian of the Black Dragonflight, but he poses no threat, according to MOTHER. What's interesting is the fact that Ebyssian can't leave Highmountain without risking Old God corruption, but we see him enter the new Chamber of Heart. (Source)

We also found a Blacktalon Watcher in Nazjatar, carefully watching over the area.

It seems Wrathion and the Black Dragonflight are going to play a role in Battle for Azeroth's upcoming patch, but we don't know more at this time. Let us know your theories down in the comments!
