Garrosh Heirlooms, Flex

I've stumbled upon my question before, but for the life of me can't find the post anywhere.

So, how's the droprate for Garrosh heirlooms on flex (and to a lower extent on LFR) difficulty? Is it more or less guaranteed to drop on your first run-through or is it more rare? And also, does the game read your spec when deciding which one to hand out when it eventually gives you one?

Thanksies!

It appears to me that the drop rate may be slightly higher on flex, but this is just based on observation and not actual data. We usually do Flex with anywhere from 20-25 people, and we also kill Garrosh on normal every week. Typically 4-5 people will get an heirloom in flex every week, and only 2-3 people will get an heirloom in normal. If I were doing some rough estimation based on that, then boa's are roughly a 20% drop rate in flex, and about a 10% drop rate in normal.

With that being said, I've killed Garrosh 5 times on normal, and at least 5 more times on Flex, and I've never gotten an heirloom.

I'm not sure about spec, but I have told your first heirloom will be one that you can use, then afterwards you have a chance of getting any heirloom.

storm's droprates are similar to what ive seen, and maybe a bit on the high side actually. i know one guy who has 4 reg and 2 flex hierlooms and i know a few people who have killed garrosh ten times on normal and have zero weapons.

one thing to note, LFR does not drop heirlooms, and Flex, Normal, and Heroic have seperate "first drop" counts. so if you've gotten a few weapons on flex and you end up getting one on normal for the first time, your first normal one will still be for your loot specialization.

This is what I was hoping for. Nice to have confirmation. "Farming" two of them 2H axes to outfit my Warrior once he reaches 90 :D

if your main is a dk, keep in mind setting your loot spec to unholy will prevent 1h weapons from dropping for you.

      AEQUITAS

Unsere Gilde bietet ihren Mitgliedern sehr viel:

      MeleeDD: Paladin, Schurke, Krieger, Feral(Wildheitsdruide)
      RangeDD: Disziplin, Elementarschamane, Hexer, Magier

About: I've decided to make a guide on Leveling Heirlooms since I did not find any quick guides for it. This is my first guide, so please feel free to give some constructive feedback   What are Heirlooms: Heirlooms are items whose stats scale with your character's level, reducing the need to replace gear whose stats are becoming too low for your level.
Heirloom Collections Tab: A new Heirloom system has been introduced in 6.1, adding all your heirlooms to your Collections, where they can be easily accessed without having to mail the heirlooms to other characters. Already earned heirlooms will be added to the collection once you have logged in with the character that has the heirlooms in their bank/bag. Any newly purchased heirlooms will automatically be added to your collection. To use a heirloom, simply find and click on it in the Heirlooms tab, and it will be placed in your inventory, and then equip it. You can also recreate the same heirloom if you want to dual-wield it, or have two trinkets or rings of the same type.
Categories: Heirlooms can be divided into the following 4 categories, based on what stats they give:    Strength-Haste - Gear for Melee damage dealers that requires more haste than crit. These pieces were the tanking pieces, but the Parry/Dodge stats were changed in 6.0
Strength-Crit  - Gear for Melee damage dealers that requires more crit than haste.
Agility - Gear for Melee+Ranged damage dealers
Intellect - Gear for Spell-caster Damage Dealers and Healers
There are also subcategories for armor types, like Cloth, Leather, Mail and Plate.
There are also subcategories for slots, like Chest, Shoulder, Leggings, Weapons etc
How to buy Leveling Heirlooms:   Heirlooms can be brought with the following 4 currencies: Gold (g) Darkmoon Prize Ticket (DPT) Champion's Seals (CS)   From these vendors: Alliance: Krom Stoutarm Horde: Estelle Gendry Guild Vendors: (A) Shay Pressler / (H) Goram

Hello, my guild is currently progressing on Heroic Garrosh 10man and I am always at the bottom of the DPS metre. If anyone could give me any advice as to when I should use my cooldowns to optimize my DPS or anything with my gear or rotation I would really appreciate it. My armory link is http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/dreadmaul/Azayzel/simple

I will give you a link below with one of our longest attempts where i am doing much less DPS than our other range DPS. If you want to see more logs you can view the others, they are all public.

Occaisionally when I solo tank garrosh my stacks DONT, i repeat DO NOT, drop off when he does his whirlwind attack. so I start getting hit pretty hard. It has only happened twice, I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered that as well? I've learned to anticipate it so i just save last stand for it.
Its lovely getting those 1.2mil SBAR though.. lol. No i dont have logs for it or anything..sadly. WAIT, i do have a video of it, kinda. its on a mage POV, and its hard to see my stacks but you can tell when i get the stacks due to my increase in dps.
The video was streamed with just the RLs vent. so yeah.

http://www.twitch.tv/imortalfrost/c/4694299 at  13:15 is where you can tell im keeping the stacks after the whirlwind. and at  8:00ish is the pull, so just skip to the 13:15.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/stormrage/Zeronesis/advanced here is my armory, but i have different boots now. but everything else is the same.
