The second batch of PTR class changes is coming soon, featuring Vengeance DH, Guardian Druid and Frost DK buffs. You can check out the first batch here.
PTR Class Changes, April 23 (source)
We have a few more class changes coming to the Rise of Azshara PTR. We made the initial changes and the following will be active on the PTR soon.
Metamorphosis Health bonus 50% (from 30%) Now causes Shear to generate 20 additional Pain and 1 additional Lesser Soul Fragment (was: generates 7 Pain per second). Developers’ Note: This significantly increases the self-healing potential of Metamorphosis, as well as the health buffer, making it a more reliable major cooldown against all types of damage. Guardian
Frenzied Regeneration (Rank 3) is learned at level 85: Frenzied Regeneration spends up to 30 additional Rage to immediately heal you for up to 18% additional health. Note: This spell is affected by Guardian of Elune, but not affected by mastery. Frost Death Knight
Runic Empowerment has a 2.0% chance to proc per Runic Power spent (from 1.5%) Frost Fever’s chance to generate Runic Power increased to 30% Chance now diminishes on targets beyond the first Breath of Sindragosa now has double the usual chance to proc Runic Empowerment Breath of Sindragosa costs 18 Runic Power/sec (from 15) Developers’ Note: Frost was starved of resources too often, especially when using Breath of Sindragosa. This increases Frosts’s Rune income baseline and includes a further change that returns many extra Runes while using Breath of Sindragosa. Breath builds will now be able to fill more global cooldowns with casts of Obliterate, to make up for the lost Frost Strikes. The cost of Breath itself is increased to keep its overall duration roughly unchanged.
This week's reset brings new hotfixes with Shadow Priests are getting their multi-target DoT DPS output reduced via a 30% nerfs to the Auspicious Spirits talent, due to it's synergy with some Azerite Traits, Insanity and Shadowy Apparition. The only other changes in the hotfixes are to two Crucible of Storms items in PvP, significantly reducing their effectiveness
April 23 (source)
The changes below will be going live this week.
DoT specs are often in the "normal" damage range for single-target fights and can be significantly above "normal" for multi-target fights. Please note that the goal here isn’t to just counter-tune specs in each bit of new content as we believe specs that work well in an encounter should continue to do so.
Regarding this specific Shadow Priest change, their multi-target performance was beyond our tuning targets and so we simply want to bring them back into range while minimizing the impact to their single-target performance.
Auspicious Spirits damage reduced to 70% (was 100%).
Developers’ notes: The damage reduction to this talent is meant to curb the synergy of Insanity and Shadowy Apparitions generation when combined with some Azerite traits, while still leaving it as a fun and interesting combo.
Player versus Player
Abyssal Speaker's Gauntlets ’s shield absorption effect is reduced by 66% when engaged in combat with enemy players. Trident of Deep Ocean ’s shield absorption effect is reduced by 50% when engaged in combat with enemy players.
Brewfest will be overhauled in Patch 8.2 and while we don't know the exact details yet, Blizzard added mug icons for multiple Allied Races in the initial Build 30080, including the Vulpera. They confirmed no new Allied Races would be coming in Rise of Azshara, so we assume they're leaving them for .5 patches in Battle for Azeroth.
New Brewfest Icons
We've got new Brewfest icons for Dark Iron Dwarves, Lightforged Draenei, Highmountain Tauren, Mag'har Orcs, the Nightborne, Void Elves and the Vulpera.
At the same time, Blizzard added Mechagnomes to the table of playable races in Patch 8.2, so we can speculate that Alliance counterpart of Vulperas will be them.
You can check out our preview of the Vulpera here!
RAID TIMES: Fri/Sat 6:30p-10:30p PST, Sun 7p-9p PST
CURRENT PROGRESSION: 1/2H 3/9M 9/9H
REQUIREMENTS: iLvl 400+, HoA 42
PERSONAL LOOT SYSTEM: RCLootCouncil**
*Sunday is an optional extra day for progression or Heroic runs.
**All tradeable loot is equally distributed to those who need it. We are trying to gear the raid as a whole so we can progress together.
RDPS (pref Spriest/Hunter) DPS spots will be competitive for Mythic.
We are a Horde Mythic progression guild with a goal of Cutting Edge in BFA. Currently we are looking for skilled raiders for the upcoming raid tiers.
It is highly encouraged for our raiders to be able to play their alternate role offspecs. It is also encouraged to have a secondary character for your current role, so we can have more flexibility, but it isn't required.
We provide feasts, food, cauldrons, and pots on a first-come first-serve basis for raiders. Feasts and cauldrons will be dropped every raid night.
We want to establish a group of committed individuals to pursue our main goal of progressing through Mythic content to achieve Cutting Edge. Not at breakneck speed, but at a constant rate of progression.
Our raiders should be willing to put the effort into clearing Mythic raids, as well as doing sufficient prep-work outside of raid. (M+, expeditions, WQs.) You should know when you should be serious and when you can joke around (i.e. joking around on trash or farm bosses vs being serious on progression).
Big Brain Boys are first and foremost a raiding guild, putting raiding over guild events or the like. We aren’t a “social” guild, but if you would like to be social then by all means be social.

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST Current Progression: 8/9M BoD | 2/2H CoS | 8/8M Uldir CE We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit. Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid. We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:
Ranged DPS: High: Shadow Priest, Mage Medium: Warlock 1 Healer:
High: Resto Shaman, Mistweaver Monk
*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class. What we ask of you: Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience. You need to have the best gear available to you with top end enchants and gems where available. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights. Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard. Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done. Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit. We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Alloren (Alloren#1606), Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759). We look forward to hearing from you soon!
