Blizzard LogoFebruary 6 (source)

Dungeons and Raids

  • Fixed a Mythic Keystone dungeon issue that caused Reaping to not occur at the intended time in Shrine of the Storm while Teeming is active.
  • Stormwall Blockade
    • The time between the cast of Sea Swell and its impact has been increased to 3 seconds on Normal and Raid Finder difficulties (was 2 seconds).
    • Sea Swell damage reduced by 7.5% on Normal and Raid Finder difficulties.
  • King Rastakhan
    • The visual for Necrotic Smash should now better fit the size of the area affected.

Items

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Everchill Anchor Everchill Anchor effect from being applied by multiple players to the same target.
  • Heart of Azeroth
    • Hunter
      • Fixed an issue that caused Dire Consequences Dire Consequences to summon a Dire Beast less often than intended.

World

  • New guard posts have been added to several locations, and in many locations where guards were getting wrecked by players, the guards have hit the gym and are now more stronk.

Previous hotfixes.

b4 everyone starts asking...

Stronk is an eastern European/Russian pronunciation of the word "strong." Most commonly used in the context of mocking or showing reverence towards something brutish or powerful that is of eastern European/Russian origin.

Much needed buff, I'm all for warmode ganking each other, but outright camping a turn in point on an opposite faction area is just bad.

The second Torghast event that we're previewing is called Chorus of Dead. It transforms you into a monstrosity, granting you access to special abilities while you are inside the tower.
After Unbridled Darkness, the Demon Hunter Simulator, another special event enabled for testing on the Shadowlands Beta is called Chorus of Dead Souls.
The Maw Power transforms you into a Deadsoul Chorus, replacing all your abilities with custom ones that you further empower with Anima Powers as you ascend the tower.
Chorus of Dead Souls - Assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, replacing your abilities with Maw based spells. While in this form, you have 50% increased damage and healing as well as 20% increased movement speed. Friendly players may merge with your form to add to the chorus.

Your damage and healing will be increased by 50% and movement speed by 20% while in the form.
      List of Abilities
Wailing Blast - Launches a blast of negative energy at an enemy, inflicting [ 200% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage and interrupting spellcasting, preventing any spell in that school from being cast for 4 sec.  Scream of Pain - Release a wild scream, inflicting [ 90% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage to enemies within 10 yds. Phase Shift - Shifts out of reality, reducing all damage taken by 90% for 1.5 sec. This can be cast while casting. Twisting Shadows - Leap through the shadows, teleporting to a targeted location.
You can freely move in and out of the form, but you don't want to do that too often.
Here's a list of all Anima Powers that further enhance Deadsoul Chorus.
One Piece of Many - While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, your damage and healing done is increased by 25%. Echoing Amplifier - The cooldown of Wailing Blast is reduced by 2 sec. Screaming Statuettes - The radius of Scream of Pain is increased by 5 yds. Aural Fracture - Wailing Blast ruptures the target's ears, inflicting an additional [ 15% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage every 2 sec for 12 sec. Improbably Shifting Orb - Increases the maximum number of charges of Phase Shift by 1. Dangling Soulcatcher - Any time you assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus or return to corporeal form, you are healed for [ 500% of Spell Power ]. This effect can only occur every 15 sec. Shifting Sustenance - Phase Shift heals all nearby friendly targets within 10 yds for [ 300% of Spell Power ]. Incorporeal Weave - Phase Shift additionally increases your movement speed by 50% for 6 sec. Brand of Instability - While assuming the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, your movement speed is increased by 10%. Twisted Idol - Increases the maximum number of charges of Twisting Shadows by 2 and reduces its cooldown by 2 sec. Contorted Hourglass - While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, time passes 20% faster for you. Aegis of Lost Souls - While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, all damage taken is reduced by 25%. Essence Siphoner - While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, increases Phantasma earned by 50%. Soulburst Charm - Any time you return to corporeal form from existing within a Deadsoul Chorus, you inflict [ 200% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage and blind enemies within 15 yds for 8 sec. This effect can only occur every 15 sec. Arcadne's Feasting Mark - Any time a Deadsoul Chorus that you are a part of casts Phase Shift, you are healed for [ 100% of Spell Power ] Health every 2 sec for 10 sec. Arcadne's Ritual Mask - Any time a Deadsoul Chorus that you are a part of casts Twisting Shadows, you gain 50% critical strike chance for 8 sec. Here is Blizzard's official blue post about special events in Torghast.

With this week’s update to the Shadowlands Beta, we’re kicking off a test of some special events for Torghast, and we have them set on a daily rotation. The first Anima Hoard you discover on a run will have unique choices that help define the rest of your run.
      The events include:
Beasts of Prodigum: Your first Maw power chest allows you to gain control of a powerful Maw beast that fights alongside you during your run. Subsequent Maw powers you receive in this run have a chance to modify the beast and grant it special abilities. Chorus of Dead Souls: Your first Maw power chest allows you to assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, granting you special abilities. While in this form, your party members can right-click you to join your form and cast on the move. Subsequent Maw powers enhance your Deadsoul Chorus form in a variety of ways. Unbridled Darkness: Your first Maw power chest can grant you a vial of darkness that you can activate. Using it turns your screen completely dark and you are unable to see your surroundings. While under this effect, you gain large combat bonuses. Subsequent Maw powers enhance your combat bonuses or modify the darkness. Please let us know what you think of these as they come around in the Beta!

We're taking a look at two fan video creations today, with two very different entries. First off we have a really nice overview of all the WoW zones with a very chill fly-through compilation condensed into 15 minutes, showing off the vast variety of places the game has to offer:
And then it's on to a very different video, a VERY LOUD ONE (no seriously, turn your sound down before you click play), which very adeptly gets the blood going with some great music-matching with very dynamic scenes from the many WoW cinematics. While the edits are perhaps a little too fast, it still came out great and very, VERY LOUD.

It's time for another WoW in other games edition, as redditor LapisBroSammy has gone through a lot of trouble to remake Dalaran in Minecraft! We've already seen similar projects, like the Atal'Dazar, Orgrimmar and Stormwind, Arathi Basin, and even Lich King projects, so this one fits in very nicely! It a project a few years in the making and is looking damn impressive, especially since It was made in Survival mode, but with mob griefing turned off. Let's take a look at some highlights, and you can check out the full imgur album here as well.

We've seen plenty of Minecraft WoW-themed recreations, including Orgrimmar and Stormwind, but today we have a giant character to show off. Redditor Arang_Choi has made a timelapse video of his creation, but unfortunately couldn't find a blue source of light for Arthas' signature frosty look, but if you ask me it just made his version all the more unique. He's said he'll try to redo the project if he can find some better light sources as well, and we might get to see a Ragnaros recreation soon as well, but for now let's take a look at the really gigantic old Lich King.
