Crucible of Storms M Race Day 4: Uu'nat Progress, 19 Guilds on 1/2

We're getting into the grind now in Crucible of Storms, as 19 guilds have downed half the raid, aka the Restless Cabal. The Asian guilds joined the fold as well, with 6 of them on 1/2 already. We also have some progress perspectives to look at on Uu'nat, with Method getting the boss down to 46%, vodkaz to 67% and Exorsus 62%.

The longer that the guilds progress on Uu'nat the less significant Pieces 6-ish hour lead is, but since we don't now how far they've progressed it's difficult to say. Certain guilds simply do better on certain bosses, whether it's related to their strategy or raid composition/available classes and specs, but considering how far ahead Pieces were on Cabal, it's still safe to assume they're doing well on Uu'nat as well.

Of the new entries to the 1/2, Cabal dead guilds we have Honestly from Oceanic servers in 10th place, followed by 6 Asia server guilds in Skyline, Chao Jie, Alpha, Jitianhong, Ding Xin and AFK R. Rounding out the 19 total guilds that have passed the Cabal gate and are now progressing on Uu'nat we have three from the EU with Halcyon, Wiping as Intended and ScrubBusters all on 1/2.

Next we're going to be looking at several guilds' best tries at the final boss so far to get a better view of how they're doing, but let's start with Method since they're the furthest along of the streaming guilds. The actual "best try %" is a little bit hazy here, as the boss heals when things go bad, so while it's not the % at which the try finished, Method (and others) count the lowest % they managed to get the boss to before they started to wipe. The best try so far saw Uu'nat at 46%, with Method being quite a bit ahead of the other streaming guilds (16% ahead of Exorsus' best, 21% ahead of vodkaz').

The actual lowest % happens at 12:29, but you have to squint a bit as the boss is moving around a lot and Sco is busy with other things.

Then we have vodkaz 67% try:

And finally, since you've now warmed up to the fight and hopefully know generally what's happening, we can take a look at Exorsus' 62% attempt, as it's all in Russian:

As we saw yesterday, Uu'nat got some slight nerfs, but it remains to be seen if even more are needed for him to be killable. When comparing timings with the previous raid, it gets a bit spooky, considering how wildly different the raids are (2 bosses vs 9, the very hard first boss in Crucible, Jaina's 5% retreat etc), as Method hit 46.7% late Friday on Jaina, almost exactly the same as they did on Uu'nat now. It seems Blizzard was right on the money when they compared Uu'nat to Jaina's difficulty, at least for now. We also didn't know how much progress Limit was on at the time, the same as we don't know Pieces' now. Cosmic coincidence! The Void Lords are probably involved.

The next few days will probably be slow, as as Asian guilds catch up and the current top push little by little. Whether Uu'nat will require the next reset's worth of gear or even some nerfs remains to be seen.

Next reset of gear won't be likely to make any difference as the top guilds are all geared to the teeth on multiple classes already, so this is a full time/skill/strategy race to the finish line! So exciting :D, was really enjoyable to kill the first boss world #13 yesterday too, our best rank so far and with just under 100 wipes ?

Well some of the trinkets are pretty good, no?

Not nearly enough to warrant a reclear. also they would probably need a tf to even have it compete with the gear theyre using.

Pretty much yeah, at this point all of the big top guilds have Incandescent Silver on every caster in the roster, for example. Void Stone seems really good as well and HC Crucible is fast enough to reclear that I could see them do that but its probably not going to be a gigantic thing on Uunat, compared to how strong it could be in Cabal (allowing you to keep people at 9 stacks for longer).

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.

Cataclysm's Grim Batol has been added to the Mythic+ Dungeon rotation in The War Within Season 1, and one boss received a brand new model recently on the Alpha.
General Umbriss, the first boss of the dungeon, got a shiny new model, which is quite different from his previous one. Below is a screenshot of the old a new model.

Blizzard have clarified why players are able to get a full Spark of Awakening through the two available Splinters in the first week of Dragonflight Season 4, and it seems it's only for this week and only due to catch-up rules being enabled!
      Splintered Spark (Source)
Just want to confirm this with some details.
Everyone essentially started Season 4 in catch-up mode. Players were able to get 1 Splintered Spark of Awakening from the weekly quest, whether that’s the weekly “Last Hurrah” quest or the PvP weeklies offered by Malicia.
And then you’re able to get another splinter / half-spark from any valid catch-up sources, such as Mythic+, Awakened Raids, and PvP wins.
Next week and thereafter, only one Splintered Spark is obtainable every week. And like Seasons 2 and 3, with the increasing cap on Splintered Sparks per week, and if you ever fall behind you will be able to get Splintered Sparks from any catch-up source.

It seems there may be an easier way to obtain the Tusks of Mannoroth appearance during the Mists of Pandaria Remix event!
The tusks are one of the rarest transmogs in the game currently, even with the recently added Siege of Orgrimmar skip, as their drop rates are VERY low (0.1-0.3%, reportedly). As spotted by MrGM, the new Tusks of Mannoroth are a cosmetic appearance item added in the new limited time event. Now, some have suggested they may just be purchasable from the Bronze vendor (the currency that will drop off of pretty much anything in the event), making them pretty easy to get, but it seems there might be a different way to get them.
It's unclear whether the cosmetic will actually be purchasable or if it will drop somewhere else, but another interesting Mannoroth-related item was added as well, the Bones of Mannoroth, which may be related to the cosmetic.

As you can see the bones are a stackable resource you gain from killing Garrosh, and it's looking like they're a way to guarantee the Tusk appearance with enough kills! Just how many drop is unclear, but assuming you need all 20 for the appearance and that Normal drops 1, Heroic 2 and Mythic 3 bones, it may take at least 7 weeks to get them. Now the number required might be/is likely to be lower than the 20  stack maximum, and we may get more bones per kill.
But even at 7 weeks it's much, much easier to get than the current "hope for 0.3%" in retail, so it's still a pretty good deal! This may or may not upset players that farmed for the tusks for a long time the regular way, but there's a whole lot players that will be thrilled!
The Remix: Mists of Pandaria event starts on May 16th and should last until August 19th.
