      Regardless of when it hits, what we've started calling Schrodinger's pre-patch will be the shortest in WoW's history. Battle for Azeroth has held that honor up until a short while ago, but even if we see the patch arrive next week, it will still only last for 3 weeks aka 21 days, compared to BfA's 4 weeks/30 days. Perhaps it makes sense that the longest expansion in WoW history is followed by the shortest pre-patch, but with 9.0.1 bringing so much content with it, it is a shame it turned out this way.

      Scourge invasion event 2-week long story campaign Level squish Class changes New player experience (Exile's Reach) Chromie Time leveling Newcomer chat and guides Allied Races no longer require exalted Many new cosmetic options Character creation screen updated Heirlooms changed Barber shop gender change Legion Artifact transmog non-spec specific Aside from the world quests and other event-related activities, the main draw of the the Shadowlands pre-patch is the leveling, as it's significantly faster than it's been so far (even with the currently active XP buff taken into consideration), and many players are eager to get some characters ready for the expansion launch.
      We're still hoping for the Shadowlands pre-patch to hit next week, putting it at 3 weeks duration, but we've already started preparing for the worst, aka a 2-week run time, which we recently discussed.

      An overview of all Covenant Armor Sets coming in the Shadowlands.
      Blizzard added set bonuses to Covenant Armor Sets in the latest Beta Build 36086.
      All four Covenant sets share the same 3-piece bonus that focuses on out-of-combat regeneration.
      The 5 and 8-piece bonuses focus on Covenant Signature Abilities.
      Kyrian Covenant Set Bonuses
      Soul Replenishment (3-piece): Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in outdoor Shadowland zones. While in your Covenant's realm, the regeneration amount is increased. Serenity Blessing (5-piece): Phial of Serenity grants 70 Primary Stat for 30 sec. Removing a disease, poison, curse, or bleed increases the amount granted by 50%. Aspirant's Touch (8-piece): Your spells and abilities have a chance to cause your target to erupt in a blinding light dealing 159 Arcane damage or healing an ally for 195 health. Necrolord Covenant Set Bonuses
      Soul Replenishment (3-piece): Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in outdoor Shadowland zones. While in your Covenant's realm, the regeneration amount is increased. Flesh Infusion (5-piece): While Fleshcraft is active your Primary Stat is increased by 100. Victors Advantage (8-piece): Killing an enemy reduces Fleshcrafts cooldown by 3 sec and your Critical Strike rating is increased by 35, stacking 5 times. Night Fae Covenant Set Bonuses

Fae Swiftness (5-piece): Soulshape's duration is increased by 4 sec and Flicker grants a short burst of speed while in outdoor Shadowland zones. Guardian of the Fae - Your spells and abilities have a low chance to summon a Fae Guardian to protect you for 30 sec, increasing your pri by 60 while alive and periodically healing 5 nearby allies for 450 health. Venthyr Covenant Set Bonuses
      Soul Replenishment (3-piece): Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in outdoor Shadowland zones. While in your Covenant's realm, the regeneration amount is increased. Penance Brand (5-piece): Your spells and abilities have a chance to inflict Penance Brand on your target dealing 660 Shadow damage over 6 sec and healing you for the same amount. One With Shadows (8-piece): While Door of Shadows is off cooldown your pri is increased by 80 and its range is increased by 5 while in outdoor Shadowland zones.

      Soulshape, the Night Fae Covenant Signature Ability, currently behaves inconsistently, and the design intention for it is to work similarly to a Shaman's Ghost Wolf or a Druid's Travel Form when it comes to other abilities canceling the form.
      We’ve seen some questions recently about inconsistencies with abilities that cancel Soulshape and abilities that are usable during Soulshape without canceling it. This is a work in progress.
      The design intention here is that Soulshape should behave similarly to a Shaman’s Ghost Wolf or a Druid’s Travel Form – all activated abilities should cancel Soulshape, with a few exceptions. When work is complete, Shaman or Druid abilities that do not already cancel Ghost Wolf / Travel Form should not cancel Soulshape. Another example to follow is Glide for Demon Hunters.
      As of this latest build of the Shadowlands Beta, Death Knight, Demon Hunter, and Druid abilities are set up appropriately, with the exception of some PvP talents. We’ll make this behavior consistent across the remaining classes in future builds.
      I noticed that Howling Blast did not cancel Soulshape.
      This is a bug that we’re fixing as soon as possible.
      Also a bug: Death Knights might see a strange error message (“Must be in Undead”) if you try to cast abilities in Soulshape right now. We’ll get that fixed.

      Blizzard made some changes to the item level of Soulbind Conduits in the most recent Shadowlands Beta build, and it seems they won't be hard-capped at Rank 5, as we first thought.
      The item level of Soulbind Conduits increases by 13 with each rank.

You will also be able to add Conduits to your collection and upgrade existing ones by purchasing  Manifest Aethershunt, a consumable item from Ve'nari in the Maw.

      Here is the proof of how incredibly buggy PvP scaling in WoW can be. We have a Level 20 twink with a 10,000% damage boost annihilating 120s.
      In his latest video, Rextroy takes PvP scaling to a whole new level. A low-level 20 Frost Mage has an 8,000% damage boost against max-level chars, which causes their Flurry and Frostbolt to deal 4,900 damage on Level 120 enemies.
      The 8,000% boost can be amplified by another 1,000% with the help of Stand As One or Collective Wil. 
      Finally, the Mr. Munchykins trinket grants the mage 990 Haste, which is about 300% at Level 20, resulting in Flurry casts on every global.
      The method leads to around 200K damage to players at Level 120.
