Known 8.2 Issues Being Actively Worked on

Recommended Posts

Earlier today the devs mentioned an issue with the Nazjatar phasing and that they were aware of certain aspects of it not working properly and that's now expanded into them listing a number of 8.2 issues they're currently working on.

First off we have the very much hated Nazjatar phasing, possibly the worst we've seen in a zone so far, but the issue in question seems to be focused around the PvP event:

Then it's on to three other issues, first of which is  increasing the health of certain Mechagon and Nazjatar rares, as well as speeding up their HP scaling so more players can get to tag them:

Then we have a quest change to Dangerous Creatures:

And finally, the World Boss quests will now show up with the standard gold elite portrait instead of the silver one, to distinguish them from rare ones more easily:

Both phasing and sharding are atrocious right now.

Not only is the Nazjatar PvP event absolutely Horde dominated, but it is near impossible to find even a single Alliance player to flag yourself for a reward. It should not be that the best way to play the event is to find a group in the group finder that has some Alliance players in their shard, and to then just waltz into their base and murder everyone who dares to teleport in. The fact that the NPC guards hit like wet noodles doesn't help either.

And it's also superfun to walk into an area with seemingly no mobs in it, only to then get phased into a group of 10 casters that hit like a truck.

The streamers that have talked about the pvp world quests basically said to just hop shards until you get to one your faction dominates.

Horde wins. Always. That's not the issue (well. at least not for me as a Horde player, I guess). The real issue is that you might end up in a shard that simply has no enemy players in it. 4 times out of 5 I can just walk into the Alliance base, and it will be empty. I don't know if it's because the Alliance players know that they are gonna get steamrolled, so they just turn off WM, or if it's a technical issue. Either way, realm hopping should not be the solution. They should just scrap the "kill 1 enemy player" part if they can't provide me with even 1 enemy player.

As a side not, sharding and faction balance seems to work fine in Mechagon.

It is the same on Alliance. In some shards there was no Horde, since people are hopping into those that are winning. Won some as Alliance with only few Horde showing up (and then they disappeared after losing some points), even with raid invading their base, there was no one present to denfend.

There is a serious faction balance issue, since most active communities are on Horde (most of former Alliance ones have faction changed as well). Normally I barely see other Alliance players, so had to turn it off a few times. While Realmpop shows 45-55 A:H ratio, it doesn't account for alts and inactive accounts, this effect escalates as people want to have advantage in numbers, there is huge difference in active population. Not enough people are playing.

I guess the only solution would have been to fill shards equally without allowing shard-hopping during event, but then remaining Horde would constantly play on empty ones. It would require to change this system to faction-agnostic, players from both factions form something like automated or pre-made groups as event is about to begin (so higher population on one faction won't mean anything), kinda like arenas allow to fight teams from same faction.

its actually insane that no one has mentioned the mob aggro range, and just how much mobs are stuffed in this small area...

thats the biggest deal breaker for me atm, i couldnt even do a quest today cause i keep aggroig 5-10 mobs at every pull

sharding is bs, and rare farming isnt fun, nothing new

It seems there may be an easier way to obtain the Tusks of Mannoroth appearance during the Mists of Pandaria Remix event!
The tusks are one of the rarest transmogs in the game currently, even with the recently added Siege of Orgrimmar skip, as their drop rates are VERY low (0.1-0.3%, reportedly). As spotted by MrGM, the new Tusks of Mannoroth are a cosmetic appearance item added in the new limited time event. Now, some have suggested they may just be purchasable from the Bronze vendor (the currency that will drop off of pretty much anything in the event), making them pretty easy to get, but it seems there might be a different way to get them.
It's unclear whether the cosmetic will actually be purchasable or if it will drop somewhere else, but another interesting Mannoroth-related item was added as well, the Bones of Mannoroth, which may be related to the cosmetic.

As you can see the bones are a stackable resource you gain from killing Garrosh, and it's looking like they're a way to guarantee the Tusk appearance with enough kills! Just how many drop is unclear, but assuming you need all 20 for the appearance and that Normal drops 1, Heroic 2 and Mythic 3 bones, it may take at least 7 weeks to get them. Now the number required might be/is likely to be lower than the 20  stack maximum, and we may get more bones per kill.
But even at 7 weeks it's much, much easier to get than the current "hope for 0.3%" in retail, so it's still a pretty good deal! This may or may not upset players that farmed for the tusks for a long time the regular way, but there's a whole lot players that will be thrilled!
The Remix: Mists of Pandaria event starts on May 16th and should last until August 19th.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?
