Not a Bug List Updated with Many Issues

We're back to the interpretation of how exactly Vanilla patch 1.12 really worked and today we have more suspects being confirmed innocent, as Blizzard expand the Not a Bug list, from Cone of Cold and Arcane Missiles to Escape Artist and Hunter pet taunting.

Hi All,

I’ve just updated the OP with the following:

  • Cone of Cold is behaving consistently with the reference client.
  • Arcane Missiles does not put the caster in combat .
  • A Hunter’s Frost Trap ground effect will break Rogues out of stealth.
  • The Berserking Troll racial ability is behaving as expected and matches the reference client.
  • The pet that a Warlock has when initially logging into the game world does not restore a Soul Shard when dismissed by taking a flight path or moving out of range.
  • The trigger range on Hunter’s traps are reduced by Stealth when the stealthed player is a similar or higher level than the Hunter.
  • Soul Link cannot be dispelled by dispelling the Warlock’s pet.
  • A Warlock’s Succubus pet cannot cast spells if they are out of line of sight of the target.
  • Manually cancelling Stealth after using Vanish will remove the Vanish buff as well as the Stealth buff.
  • Escape Artist has a very small chance to fail when used to escape an effect that has a decreased chance to be dispelled (e.g. a Rogue’s Vile Poisons talent).
  • Rogues are not broken out of stealth by Blizzard until they take damage.
  • Taunting Hunter pets that are set to Aggressive or Defensive mode will cause them to attack the taunting player.

I additionally modified the wording on the following to be a bit more clear:

  • “Melee leeway” is working as intended in both PvE and PvP.

      The Blackwing Lair speed runs continue unabated, and there's been a few more fastest runs, with Progress claiming the most recent/current record, taking only 20 minutes and 30 seconds to get Nefarian and co. down! Their run was actually a massive jump both from the current second place holders SALAD BAKERS (1 min 10 sec) and from the last one we covered, GUSY (1 min 23 sec), so this one will probably stay up there for a while. To make things even better, they conjured up a little celebration video as well, with some of their... ahem, "fans" "cheering" them on at the start. The video itself is pretty short, with highlights of the kills and a pretty damn good soundtrack as well, so let's take a look.
      This particular speed required over half the raid to be warriors (21, in fact), and also starred 6 priests, 5 rogues, 3 paladins, 2 hunters, a warlock, a mage and a druid. Here are the current standings in the seemingly most prestigious ongoing race in Classic at the moment, with the top 10 being separated by all of 3 minutes:

      We have another South Park Live to Win champion on our hands! DrFive had taken it upon himself to ignore every non-boar mob in Classic and get to max level as close to how the boys from South Park did as possible (but obviously couldn't quite stay in Elwynn Forest only). This isn't the first time someone has taken up and completed this very weird challenge, as it was conquered on retail back in 7.3.5, but that one took a trip to Outland to finish things up.

      This Classic attempt took almost 10 days played, 10,000 boars downed, 30 deaths and 22 million damage, but it was a success in the end, so let's take a look at the final moments, as well as some details on how he got there (including a whole lot of rested XP, help in pre-clearing Razorfen Downs etc):
       
      The entire journey will be uploaded to youtube, and there's already 36 videos up there to check out if you really like to see boars die.

      In case you don't feel like checking days' worth of footage, there's this theorycrafting video from before Classic's release on the very subject, and while DrFive didn't necessarily keep to this exact path, it's still a fun video to check out!

      Congrats to DrFive on this very weird challenge, and to everyone that keeps doing weird things in all of WoW, as we love seeing things like this make the game feel more alive. Also, make sure to re-watch the Make Love, not Warcraft South Park episode that started all of this.

      It seems the crowding has been (somewhat) alleviated, as Blizzard have disabled layering on all US servers, after having enabled it for select servers around a month ago. It remains to be seen when the same will come for EU servers.

      At this time, we’re contracting from two layers to one on all realms in this region that were layered.
      As we’ve constantly watched and analyzed realm populations over the last few weeks, we’ve seen enough of a recent trend to justify returning to the intended population arrangement for each realm. At the same time, we’ve unlocked any realms that were locked for new character creation.
      All Paid Character Transfer restrictions have been left in place. We’re going to continue to use our ability to disable that service as a stopgap, and we’ll let you know when we open or close it further.

      Nefarian and co. are having a really bad month, as APES' previous speed clear record has been taken down! The previous fastest guild had already taken 26 seconds of the time we had previously reported, and the new champions GUSY have taken another 20 seconds off that, which may not sound like much, but when your clear is that fast to begin with, it's still pretty impressive.
      Shockingly, the raid had 18 warriors and 7 rogues, with the rest of the DPS classes fighting it out for 6 slots, and the priests also joined in the DPS fun with a whole lot of smites as well! Congrats to GUSY on the run, and we're sure to see even more extremely close clears, as the guilds now compete in terms of seconds.

      Fixed a bug that caused some players to be returned to an incorrect location when leaving a War Game.
