Here's the fact sheet with more details about Diablo IV from Blizzard.

Blizzard LogoBlizzard

DIABLO® IV is the newest incarnation of Blizzard Entertainment’s genre-defining action-role-playing game series. Players will experience a grim new story line while also having the freedom to forge their own path across the most expansive vision yet of the world of Sanctuary—a bleak and shattered hellscape bereft of hope and beset by demons.

Diablo IV Feature Highlights

Explore a vast, contiguous world of Sanctuary and seamlessly travel across five distinctive regions filled with dangerous foes.

Quintessential Diablo gameplay featuring robust RPG character progression, infinitely replayable dungeons, awesome loot, and the series’ hallmark visceral combat.

An open world inhabited by familiar threats and new—like deadly encounters with massive, multi-phase World Bosses.

Playable at BlizzCon: Three iconic classes revealed (with two more to come): the Druid, the Barbarian, and the Sorceress.

All-new technology that will push the Diablo franchise to dark new depths with higher fidelity graphics and the ability to create an expansive open world experience.

A dark new storyline where heroes will be called upon to face a challenge unlike any the world has seen before.

A RETURN TO DARKNESS

  • Legendary Heroes Return: Three iconic Diablo IV classes are playable at BlizzCon, with two more to come. Each character class retains its core identity, yet also brings players fresh inspiration and fun, revamped play styles:
    • Barbarians bring the power of the new Arsenal system in battle, arming them with the ability to carry and rapidly switch between four different weapons at a time by assigning them to individual attacks.
    • Sorceresses shape the elements to obliterate their foes, chilling their foes until they freeze and shatter, electrocuting them with bolts of lightning, or raining flaming meteors from the sky.
    • Druids are savage shapeshifters who fluidly transform between werewolf, werebear, and human forms to unleash a cataclysm of nature’s fury on the forces of the Burning Hells.
  • Smarter, Deadlier, and More Diverse Monsters: Face a world inhabited by deadly monster “families” of disparate, yet thematically-linked creatures that work together to present players with interesting strategic challenges.
  • Deep Character Customization: Players will be able to experiment and discover countless character builds through customizable talent trees and skills, awe-inspiring loot including legendary and set items to collect, runes and rune word combinations, and even personalized mounts for traversing the open world.
  • Dungeon Crawling: Infinitely replayable dungeons to clear, as well as new Keyed Dungeons that empower players to control their destiny and specify the types of challenging dungeon crawling experiences they want to take on.

A dangerous, dynamic, vast world to explore

  • A Grim New Chapter: This bleak period in Sanctuary’s history finds humanity in the grip of a chaotic and dark time. Lilith has returned to Sanctuary. Players will need to step foot in this broken realm to learn more.
  • An Expansive Open World: Encounter other players as you explore five distinctive regions rooted in unique ecologies and filled with dangerous new foes. Face the greatest threat Sanctuary has ever known as you cross the burning desert of Kehjistan; blaze a trail through the werewolf-infested forests of Scosglen; brave the harsh wilderness of the Dry Steppes; scale the uninhabitable Fractured Peaks; and choke back the infestation in the swamplands of Hawezar.

Why does the Barbarian look like a Samoan? Weren't Druids and Barbs supposed to be from the same peoples?

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Lorewise it makes no sense. Blizzard trying to pull another SJW for the sake of diversity, I guess.

Yeah, it was joke. ?
But this doesn't really matter since classes will be customizable in terms of physical appearance.

Cool... agreed.

I've worked in Comics for way too long, and I was the first guy that said Nick Fury wasn't a Black Guy - he probably couldn't be with his actual history... but then I realized that I just REALLY dislike Jackson.  He annoys the hell outta me.

And Aunt May is NOT a hot babe (even though Marisa certainly is!)... etc., etc., etc....

Then I thought about what it was like when I was a kid.  I dug Green Lantern, and not just because we had really similar names... and I LOVED the Neal Adams run with Green Arrow and the Black Canary (Yummers!)... and I loved that GL was a nonpolitical guy until GA, who was a radical came along, and they did the Buddy Road-trip deal... but even after it all, GL was still a moderate and the Big Headed Guardians thought he was being too "Reactionary"... so they found a new fella without Fear and it was John Stewart... who turned out to be REALLY Reactionary... and I loved John!

Personally, I don't think the Wonder Woman movie is all that great... but I was being too critical because I was judging it in comparison to the best of the Marvel movies, as opposed to the least interesting ones - some of which are pretty "eh."

But Gadot is pretty breathtaking... and I think it's REALLY important for little girls to have Super Heroes.

...and as an aside:

The term originates from the Greek: βάρβαρος (barbaros pl. βάρβαροι barbaroi). In Ancient Greece, the Greeks used the term towards those who did not speak Greek and follow classical Greek customs.[2] In Ancient Rome, the Romans used the term towards tribal non-Romans such as the GermanicsCeltsGaulsIberiansThraciansIllyriansBerbersParthians, and Sarmatians. In the early modern period and sometimes later, the Byzantine Greeks used it for the Turks, in a clearly pejorative manner.[3][4]

So there is male sorcerer on a concept art, glad there will be gender choice then. So far this class seems the most appealing to me, but perhaps they will add something like witch doctor and demon hunter.

Who else is stoked for the return of runes and runewords? I remember getting so hyped back in the say (around 2002ish) when I finally got those rare runes to drop finally, and how the rarest ones were great marks of currency.

I'm hoping for 2 things in this game: An equally rewarding experience for solo play as multi-play (I suppose minus the punishment of not being able to do world bosses solo, but that's acceptable). On that note, having more than 1 avenue to grind your late-game gear would be welcome. D1 had Hell grinding (I guess lol), D2 had Bhall/Pindle runs, D3 had Grifts; it would be neat to be able to have different ways to get to the same destination in gearing.

I would love classic build styles be viable end game -> summoner builds (if these exist or not) always drop off to late game bosses, for example. I suppose it's hard to balance that to avoid cheesy afk tactics, however.

I'm really digging the art, but still feel the lighting can and should be focused outward from the character in a designated aoe, as opposed to being equally dispersed across the screen.

I remember in earlier Diablo titles, you could increase your light radius through items, and this allowed you to see more, but the counterpoint was that enemies would be more attracted to you from further away...

Looks promising thus far!

Here's another quick loot luck post, as some players just have it and then some. We've seen double Uniques from a single Treasure Goblin already, but this is even more extreme. Millertiimme took down Ashava and managed to get a triple Ancestral Unique drop! While we don't know exactly what the boots, ring and gloves were, they were definitely welcome!
What has been some of your best loot luck so far?
    • By Starym
There's persistence and then there's... persistence. MrFrodoBeggins certainly shows the latter as he not only completed 1270 cellars in 3 days, but also documented his loot, locations, experience gained, Treasure Goblins found, Obols acquired, Butchers encountered and more!

So let's take a look at this huge breakdown of a very large mount of cellar clears, separated into the game's zones. You should definitely read the whole thing below, but here are some highlights:

3 Butcher run-ins 21 Treasure Goblins (7 packs of 3, as that's how they spawn in Cellars) 6352 Obols 13 Uniques 200 Legendaries 82,693,064 XP (taking them from level 84 to 89) Around 80,000,000 gold
MrFrodoBeggins' conclusion is that Cellars are very much not worth it and actively slow you down. The main takeaway from this experience has been... that there isn't enough variety in loading screens. Which makes a lot of sense if you look through 2540+ of them in 3 days. Here are his (not too serious) suggestions:

The character has a terribly small collection radius, you need to walk the character directly on grass, ore, gold ....... to collect! Dropping some currency and things from mobs is terribly long, maybe if it's 1-2 things you can put up with, but when hundreds and thousands of times it's very annoying... I have seen sooo many loading screens, the drawings are very beautiful and interesting, maybe you will organize a competition among artists and make hundreds of different drawings on the theme of Diablo 4, and give them your 1.5 seconds of fame. I think that over time, all people will get tired of the same thing, even beautiful.
Obviously we can't confirm these number as it's an individual player's findings, but we see no reason they'd be fabricated.

And there we have it! All of the ultra-rare/chase items have been found and confirmed with images or video! The final piece was the Melted Heart of Selig necklace and it dropped earlier today.

Spotted by AnyComputer, a Necromancer player had the item drop in Blind Burrows, and AnyComputer even translated it for us!

Source: Melted Heart of Selig dropped today.

This one isn't one of the more wanted ultra-rares, which may also be the reason why we've seen it last. Many players may have just salvaged it without even knowing it was something special, as it's effect isn't that impressive.

As we already mentioned in previous posts, these almost certainly aren't the first ones dropped and there are many more than have been reported out there (just without image or video proof) so their rarity is a little over-represented. They are still very rare, however, and most of us probably won't be seeing them any time soon.

The final 5 arrived in the past week after Harlequin's Crest was found relatively soon after launch. You can find them here: Andariel's Visage; The Grandfather; Doombringer; Ring of Starless Skies. If you really really want to throw a lot of time into maybe, possibly, probably not getting these, here are the spots for "farm" them in.

Here they all are in all their glory:

We've seen them run as soon as you engage them, we've seen them drop two Uniques at the same time, but this, this is something new. I suppose it was only a matter of time before the treasure carrying ones took their sweet sweet revenge. A high level Hardcore player had a very rude awakening recently after dropping their guard around the little ones. The goblin didn't have any assistance, was the only thing in the room, and yet it still got the kill.
Killthuzad was running a tier 37 Nightmare Dungeon and really showcases just how easy it is to lose a character on Hardcore.

Death Pulse does say that the pulse a monster leaves after death is "deadly", but this is on a whole new level! The goblin was level 91, however, so perhaps this isn't that surprising, but it sure was unexpected. Killthuzad's reaction is very much on point as that is definitely the weirdest way I've seen of someone losing their character.
If you want to see the rest of the death reaction you can head over here.

Here's another report on one of the rarest Unique drops in the game! A player has received The Grandfather, the crit damage heaven two handed sword. Dropped from an event chest during a Helltide, it's sporting solid rolls, multiplying all the player's crit damage by 84%!
The player sharing the image is level 76, but the player being inspected is level 100, so they may have had it for quite a while already.
This isn't necessarily (or even likely) the first of these that has dropped, but we haven't spotted anyone posting about it before. Now all that's left for that player is to get ANOTHER one with a better roll! Here's the weapon's non-Chinese stats:

Blizzard recently shared some information on the 6 ultra-rare Uniques and how they can drop. We also saw a handy infographic going over where the best place is to farm for them over here.
