New Battle.net Desktop App Beta

Recommended Posts

We're getting a bit of a revamp to our favorite launcher, with a lot more overview over all its aspects, from the games themselves (with the Activision ones thankfully being given a bit less prominence), the friends list and more! And we can all try it out right now!

Check out our BlizzCon 2019 Content Hub for all the latest details!

We’ve been hard at work on new features for the Battle.net Desktop App, and we wanted to show you a preview of what we’re developing. Starting today, anyone who’s opted in to test Battle.net updates can try out our beta.

Though we’re improving the look and feel of Battle.net, we also want to keep this preview familiar and easy to use. Here’s what to expect.

The most obvious difference between the beta and its full-release sibling is a refreshed user interface. We’ve heard many of you loud and clear: You want more control over your game navigation, and you’d like your friends and chats to be easily accessible. You’ll also notice that we’ve updated the stories view for each game, so you can see more recent updates and highlights. To see all the updates in the Battle.net beta, check out our patch notes.

If you didn’t sign up to test new versions of Battle.net, but you want to, log into the Battle.net Desktop App, head to the “Beta” menu in "Settings", and opt in to try future patches before they’re officially released.

We’ll continue making the Battle.net App more user-friendly, more informative, and more customizable. We want it to help you connect with your friends and play games quickly and easily.

If you have any thoughts about what would make the app a better experience for you, please use the app forums to send us your feedback.

We’ll see you in-game!

Worse. Way worse. The one thing they needed to do is put the friends panel to the right of the current one.
Perhaps they needed/wanted to redo some of the guts of the system that's why the drastic rework.. but the design didn't have to change.
The current one with the changing artworks has so much more soul. Also, we are just used to the games being listed in the left side, so why move them to the top? I hope this part will be customizable at lest (unless it is and I missed it).

Crash Bandicoot's fourth sequel, "It's About Time," which launched on consoles last year in October, will be soon available on PC through Battle.net.
Crash 4 is a real improvement over N.Sane Trilogy in terms of character movement. In Crash 4, there's a small circle beneath your character, showing you exactly where you'll land. The various Quantum Masks also make levels more interesting.
It's important to note that Crash 4 is a completely new game and not a remaster.
The game can be pre-purchased for $39.99. Activision Blizzard also posted the minimum/recommended requirements for PC that you can find below.
New powers, new worlds, larger-than-life boss battles, and a whole wumping lot more: Crash, Coco and friends are gearing up for another great adventure with the upcoming release of Crash Bandicoot™ 4: It’s About Time on PC via Battle.net.
Presented in dazzling 4K resolution, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the first brand-new Crash Bandicoot game in over ten years, and a true successor to the original trilogy! And now it’s coming to PC. Here’s what you can look forward to when Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time releases on Battle.net on later this year:
      Crash Bandicoot, New and Improved
In Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time you can play the way you want to. Choose Modern mode for a streamlined experience, or Retro for that classic gaming experience — where if lose all your lives, you restart the level.
Bend reality with the four Quantum Masks — guardians of space and time — like Lani-Loli, who phase-shifts obstacles in and out of existence, or Ika Ika, whose power flips gravity allowing Crash and Coco to walk on the ceiling!
Experience the story in new ways with alternate timeline paths, revisiting previous levels using different characters — like nefarious villain Neo Cortex and the reformed Dingodile — and more difficult platforming challenges. And test your skills in the new N. Verted mode, a wild take on mirror mode that flips levels and delivers new filters and effects across dimensions.

      4K Graphics Support
Have a powerful PC that you can’t wait to get platforming on? Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time supports 4K resolution* and an uncapped framerate, so get ready for a gorgeous 4K experience.
