Hmmm one of the very few times where I'm actually not all that much impressed by the raid mounts. Usually I'm like 'Oh wow, that's a really cool mount. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that!', but this time I wouldn't mind if I never got these. They're not ugly or anything, they just don't do it for me.

Same for me , we are not on the same level as the creepiest mount back in antorus. This is just a big blob with eyes and a reskined of cloud serpent to look like a giant demoniac sperm.

Well, here we are on October 26th, the big day of the once-Shadowlands release, as the expansion was set to come out today at midnight CET 4PM PDT, and we'd only be 5-ish hours away from the afterlife!

But, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, the expansion was delayed and we now have a 2-week old pre-patch which still hasn't even started the actual pre-expansion event, although we did get a datamined cinematic from said event:
There's till no word at all on the actual event start date, and while many players have already gotten their Collector's edition boxes, we're still no closer to getting any word or indication on when Shadowlands will be released! The only thing we do know for certain is that the expansion is at least 2 weeks away, since the event hasn't started yet, but it might tomorrow!
We don't have the pre-expansion Scourge invasion event yet, but there have been weird things happening in the pre-patch with the undead, and we take a look at some fond memories from the crazyness of the PTR as well:
Mini-Scourge Invasion Event: Less Squished Undead Overrun Guards in Town, Kill NPCs
More Scourge Zombies Showing Up, But It's Still Not the Pre-patch Event
      Shadowlands Pre-Patch Event Guide
The Zombie Infestation Is Out of Hand on the PTR and It's Amazing!
PTR Scourge Zombie Invasion Situation and Summary
Delaying the expansion was definitely a good decision, with the global pandemic having affected the development and Blizzard actually starting to address many of the issues beta players have been pointing out (although not the famed ripcord/Covenant ability exclusivity). The pre-patch has had a pretty rough launch, with many issues especially with the scaling, so it's probably a very good thing that the devs have more time with it before the expansion arrives.
While the Shadowlands release date is still a mystery, we're hoping Blizzard take as much time as they need to deliver a solid experience, and we're currently betting/hoping for a December 8th date, which would almost certainly mean the raid gets delayed into January, but that's worth it if you ask us.

We are celebrating the Shadowlands Pre-Patch with 3 weeks of giveaways with myself and Nova Boosting Community! To find out everything you need to know for a chance to win, check out this post.
As many of you may already know, Nova is one of the largest boosting communities on the EU servers and, with new efforts on their part, they are aiming to grow on the US side too. This is great news for all of our US readers as, unlike in our previous giveaways these past weeks, you will have a chance to win some prizes too!
We have partnered up with them to put out 3 separate giveaways over the next 3 weeks, each with a load of prizes for both US and EU players to win.
Currently, the schedule of giveaways is as follows.
      Week 1
The first week's giveaway has ended and all winners have been contacted on Twitter.
      Week 2
This section will have more information added on 26/10/2020, when the second giveaway starts.
Placeholder for tweet 1320769524459884545 The prizes for Week 2 include 2 Ny'alotha Allseer, the mount from Mythic N'Zoth, 6 Glacial Tidestorm, from Mythic Jaina, all of which are for EU players to win, and another 2 Glacial Tidestorm for US players.
      Week 3
This section will have more information added on 02/11/2020, when the third giveaway starts.
      Information for Winners
You will be contacted directly on Twitter if you have won, stating which prize you have won. If you already have the mount that you have won, you can give it to someone else, either another contestant or a friend, but only one of you may receive the prize. All of the mounts won will be given to winners via a boost of that respective boss, conducted by the team at Nova and their community. All of the runs have either been paid for by myself or the leadership at Nova with in-game gold or they have been generously gifted by the numerous guilds that make up Nova's community. Both we at Icy Veins and the management team at Nova actively condemn the exchange of real money for services in-game, and have ensured that all of the items in the giveaway, when paid for, are purely offered in exchange for payment with in-game gold. Winners will be selected after each week of the giveaway, to ensure that there is enough time for everyone to be scheduled for their runs. We cannot guarantee any loot beyond the mounts from each boss on your runs with Nova; it is at the discretion of Nova and how the runs are organised as to how normal loot will be distributed. We wish you all the best of luck should you enter, and, if you don't manage to win this time, we'll have plenty more giveaways running after Shadowlands releases!

Did you know you can pick up a copy of a book and have the author sign it in Boralus?
You can obtain A Steamy Romance Novel: Stormy Seas by bringing an unsigned copy of A Steamy Romance Novel: Stormy Seas to its author, Laurence E. Craft, located outside Scribes and Nobbles (a reference to Barnes & Noble) in Hook Point (Boralus).

A fun fact about the novel is that an unsigned copy (A Steamy Romance Novel: Stormy Seas) is worth 67 Copper, and a signed copy (A Steamy Romance Novel: Stormy Seas) is worth double (1 Silver and 34 Copper).
