Vestments of the Eternal Traveler Transmog Clarifications

Recommended Posts

It's intentional that the quest for the Ensemble: Vestments of the Eternal Traveler Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmog set is available from another player's Ensorcelled Everwyrm Ensorcelled Everwyrm if both have pre-ordered Shadowlands, according to Blizzard.

Blizzard today clarified that it is not a bug that the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmogrification set can be obtained from another player's Ensorcelled Everwyrm Ensorcelled Everwyrm mount by anyone who has pre-purchased Shadowlands.

Hello.

Since the BlizzCon announcement of Shadowlands, we’ve seen concerns about whether it is intended that the quest for the Ensemble: Vestments of the Eternal Traveler Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmogrification set can be obtained from another player’s Ensorcelled Everwyrm Ensorcelled Everwyrm mount.

This is not a bug. Access to this transmogrification set is a bonus available to anyone who purchases Shadowlands . While the Heroic Edition and Epic Edition also grant the Ensorcelled Everwyrm Ensorcelled Everwyrm flying mount that summons the questgiver Xolartios, anyone who has purchased Shadowlands can interact with the questgiver and earn the transmog set. The quest for the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler will also remain available to all WoW accounts that have upgraded to Shadowlands after the launch of Shadowlands.

The questgiver does not offer the quest and rewards to player characters who have not yet pre-purchased Shadowlands.

I'm conflicted, one the one hand it's an ugly mog and not the reason I got the middle version of the pre order, the mount and 120 boost was, tmog was a bonus, but to anyone who did it for the mog, now finding this out, it's a bit of a kick, and should really have been made clear when ordering...

Basic package is just the game.

Heroic package includes 120 boost, mount, and access to the armor transmog npc quest giver.

Epic package includes what was listed for the Heroic but with pet, game time, Traveler's Hearthstone cosmetic, and weapon illusion.

I bought the Epic package back during Blizzcon announcement of the next expansion.  I didn't buy it for the armor transmog that came with it.  Even if you broke it down money value wise you are basically getting the armor xmog for free.  However since it's tied to a quest giver you have to get someone to respawn the quest giver again before getting the reward.  I'm not really conflicted by this and I'm ok that only people whom bought the Shadowlands expansion can have access to most of these features.

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.

      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
