WoW Token Coming to WoW Classic in China

Recommended Posts

It seems that the WoW Token is coming to WoW Classic in China soon, allowing players to exchange gold for 30 days of game time. We are not sure if other regions will follow at this time.

It's worth noting that the Chinese region is completely different from the rest of the world when it comes to Blizzard games. A great example is Diablo 3 which already has a lot of microtransactions. The same goes for World of Warcraft and the 300% XP potion sold specifically in that region.

The original post in Chinese can be found here. Below is a rough translation by Google Translate.

Dear friends, the goblins of the Hot Sands Group will bring a good deal, and the World of Warcraft® Token is coming to the World of Warcraft® classic nostalgia! You can buy World of Warcraft Tokens at the auction house to redeem 30 days of game time, or sell World of Warcraft Tokens in exchange for game gold.

The "World of Warcraft" token allows players with many game gold coins to exchange gold for game time, while players who want to buy game gold coins can exchange gold coins from other players through this simple and secure system.

Players can use the Blizzard game points to buy the World of Warcraft Token in the in-game mall, and then consign it at the auction house to trade at the current market price and exchange for gold coins. After the player purchases the World of Warcraft token with the game gold coin at the auction house, it will become a soul binding, and the player can use it to redeem 30 days of game time.

The process of buying tokens is also simple: you only need to go to the auction house to buy the World of Warcraft tokens sold with your game gold coins. After the time light badge was sent to your in-game mailbox, right-click it to add it to your backpack, then right-click the token in the backpack. This way you can choose to add 30 days of game time to your Blizzard Battle.net account.

For more information, check out our World of Warcraft Token support page .

Q: Why was the World of Warcraft Token feature introduced into the World of Warcraft classic nostalgia?

A: We heard feedback from players saying that they want to buy game coins in a safe and legitimate manner, rather than through an unauthorized third-party gold exchange service-this is also one of the main reasons for problems with player accounts. We also learned that players who have obtained a lot of gold coins through the normal game flow also want to trade with other players in order to exchange game time and reduce their own recharge time. The "World of Warcraft" token feature allows both players to trade in a safe and straightforward manner. This also opens up a new payment option for World of Warcraft players, hoping that it will reduce problems with account numbers and improve the overall gaming experience.

Q: I need gold coins! How do I buy a World of Warcraft Token with Blizzard Game Credits and exchange it for game gold?

A: You can use the Blizzard game points to purchase the World of Warcraft Token in the in-game store. To enter the in-game store, enter the main menu (Esc) or click the function button next to your character's backpack.

You can sell your World of Warcraft Token through the auction house, which is located under the World of Warcraft Token label. The World of Warcraft Token cannot be traded or sold by other means.

Q: How many game coins can I exchange for selling a token?

A: The gold price of the token will change dynamically according to the relationship between supply and demand. When you consign the Token, the system will provide you with a quote, and you can get the corresponding gold coins after the Token is successfully sold. If you decide to sell the Token, the price will be locked. After the Token is sold, the corresponding gold coins will be sent to your in-game mailbox.

Q: How much game time can I redeem with a World of Warcraft Token?

A: Use a World of Warcraft token to redeem 30 days of game time.

Q: Can I sell the World of Warcraft Tokenagain with gold coins?
A: No, all World of Warcraft tokens can only be sold once. After you buy the World of Warcraft Token, it becomes soulbound. After that it can only be used to redeem game time.

Q: What if the price quoted to me at that time does not match the actual price of the Token now?

A: The quotations you receive will be based on the price when you originally sold the Token regardless of the current market price and the market price when the Token was successfully sold.

Q: I bought a World of Warcraft tokenfrom the auction house. How long will it take for me to receive it?

A: This is the same as the standard auction house transaction process. Usually you can receive the token in your in-game mailbox after a period of time.

Q: I purchased a World of Warcraft Token from the in-game mall with Blizzard Game Points. How long will it take for me to receive it?

A: When you make a successful purchase, usually the Token will be sent to your backpack immediately. If your backpack is full, it will be sent to your mailbox.

Q: Will the token expire? What if I accidentally delete it?

A: No, the Token does not expire. They also cannot be deleted, so don't worry about deleting them by mistake.

The "World of Warcraft" Token is about to be launched in the "World of Warcraft" classic nostalgic clothing, please pay more attention to the "World of Warcraft" official website.

Onyxia has been recently defeated in WoW Classic by a raid group comprised of Druids only.

Queue times return to some WoW Classic realms with a high population amid the coronavirus lockdown and character transfers. Firemaw (EU) players report 3-4 hour queue times on a Sunday, urging Blizzard to lock the realm and a similar situation is occurring on Incendius (US).
Redditor ANTRagnarok came up with a graph while waiting in the queue and it turns out you must log in at 4:45 p.m. if you want to make it to the raid that begins at 7:30 p.m.

Players are urging Blizzard to lock Firemaw (EU) on the official forums and offer free character transfers, as many do not want to transfer to different realms using the paid character service.
The situation was apparently worse the day before with queues exceeding 3,000 players which resulted in 5-6 hour queue times. Redditor Aoussar123 reports that people are idling in cities hitting the space bar every once in a while to stay logged in which makes things even worse.

Incendius (US) is facing a similar situation, but the queues aren't as bad as in Europe. The realm was beyond capacity full even before paid character services, then came transfers from Faerlina, Skeram, and other realms, rendering Indencius beyond unplayable according to Redditors. Players reported 2-3 hour queue times on Incendius during raid time.
Blizzard has so far not responded to any of the reports and we will keep you updated should they come up with any solutions in the near future.

UPDATE: The issue has now been resolved.
      Blizzard (Source)
The aforementioned fix was completed with restarts at 6:00 a.m. AEDT, and the Battleground Holiday has been operating as expected on Oceanic realms since then. The first Battleground Holiday has been delayed in Oceania due to a bug. Blizzard is currently working on a fix that may require Classic realm restarts.

The first Battleground Holiday should have gotten underway on Oceanic realms at 12:01 a.m. AEDT (about 4.5 hours ago). That has not yet happened, due to a bug.
We’re working on a fix, and the fix may require realm restarts of Oceanic Realms, which we would undertake very soon if necessary.
      We apologize for the delay.

Blizzard today announced they suspended numerous WoW Classic players that were found to be using anti-AFK cheats or bots that automated movement, mainly in Alterac Valley.
Anything that degrades the gaming experience for other players will result in harsh penalties, according to Blizzard, and they will continue to issue suspensions based on player reports, so if you see someone circumvent AFK rules, make sure to report them!
      Blizzard (Source)
Yesterday, we issued numerous suspensions to WoW accounts that were found to be violating our Code of Conduct. Affected players were e-mailed with details about the violation and suspension – a great many of which were found to be using anti-AFK cheats or bots that automate movement, especially in Alterac Valley.
This was the most-recent in a series of similar actions we’ve taken to address unfair gameplay in WoW Classic.
Please be reminded that using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating. Exploiting other players is an equally serious offense. Scamming, account sharing, win-trading, and anything else that may degrade the gaming experience for other players will receive harsh penalties.
We’ll continue to monitor reports of and take actions against players who circumvent AFK rules. If you come across a player violating the Code of Conduct policies, please report them.
      Thank you.

Blizzard has just posted patch notes for the latest WoW Classic update which includes Arathi Basin, two new factions, Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, Battleground Holidays, and various bug fixes.
      Blizzard (Source)
      Arathi Basin
Join the League of Arathor or the Forsaken Defilers as they battle for precious resources. Pitting 15 members of each faction against each other, the race is on to be the first to 2000 resources, capturing strategic landmarks around the Basin to increase your team’s gain and cripple the enemy. There’s never been a better time to join the war.
Arathi Basin will unlock at 3:00 p.m. PDT (6:00 p.m. EDT) on Wednesday, March 11.
      Battleground Holidays
Most weeks, Warsong Gulch, Alterac Valley, and Arathi Basin now enjoy holidays that begin on Thursday night at midnight and continue until Tuesday morning. During a holiday, emissaries from that Battleground will be found in the major cities, and honor/faction rewards for performing objectives in that Battleground are increased.
      Bug Fixes and Updates
There is now a warning dialogue when players enter a raid that has an active raid lockout, giving players the chance to avoid accidental raid saves. Harvesting gathering nodes that are on zone boundaries should now be more reliable. Many particle effects and transparency effects now display more accurately. For example: Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker will appear brighter than before. Perdition’s Blade will appear brighter than before. Particle effects on the Warlock and Paladin class mounts will be less pronounced than before. Fixed an issue that could cause Nefarian to momentarily fly away after revealing his true from at the beginning of Phase 2 of his encounter. Players who are Honorless Targets are now immune to Mind Control. Hunter Player-controlled pets now move in a straight line to their target when commanded to attack, rather than defaulting to behind the target. Shaman Mana Tide Totem should now reliably deliver a fourth tick of Mana Tide. Warlock Blood Pact is no longer re-cast when Amplify Curse is used or Nightfall procs.
