PvP Vendors Return in Shadowlands

Blizzard revealed in the Shadowlands Developer Update their plans to add PvP vendors back to the game with changes to PvP currencies, as Conquest becomes a spendable currency in the new expansion.

In Shadowlands, Conquest points can be used to buy specific items from vendors in the new capital city of Oribos. On top of that, you will be able to upgrade gear using Conquest points, similar to how Benthic gear upgrades worked with Manapears in Patch 8.2 (Rise of Azshara).

More information about the new system will be available when we start datamining the first Alpha build.

  • Also of note are some changes to PvP currencies—notably, Conquest is once again a spendable currency earned through Shadowlands Rated PvP. Players will be able to use Conquest points to purchase specific items of their choice from a vendor in the capital city of Oribos (in an easy-to-find location, naturally). Conquest can also be used to upgrade that gear further (similar to how Benthic gear worked with Manapearls in Rise of Azshara). We’ll have lots more information to share on the details of this system, as well as our broader endgame itemization plans, as the alpha rolls on and we reach max-level content.

you know with all the hype that WoW Classic had and with what we know atm about Shadowlands it really seems like they are trying to make Shadowslands into Classic WoW 2.0

Not sure that's too bad a thing. We've had a lot of forward progress, picking up some of the things that were lost on the way seems appropriate at this stage.

is there any information on bfa pvp vendors? specifically ones that take marks of honor

i know there are vendors in zandalar and boralus that whenever i checked on them had nothing for sale.

i spent the last few comp stomps farming marks of honor for pvp ensembles from old expacs and i want the sets from bfa as well for plate and mail plus some of the weapons.

Here are some useful tips if you are leveling alts through the Threads of Fate system.
The Threads of Fate system allows you to ignore the main story and level up your character by doing various objectives and completing world quests.
You should first visit every area to accept all campaign quests if you plan on leveling through spamming dungeons. Each dungeon gives you 10% toward the progress bar.

Reddit user Lucasion pointed out that Threads of Fate is available for alts to switch to at any time until your character hits 60, meaning at any point, you can choose to skip the rest of the story. However, if you hit 60 while doing the story, the Fatescriber no longer gives you the option to swap to the Threads of Fate system, so your alt becomes locked into finishing the story.
Remember that choosing Threads of Fate is PERMANENT and cannot be undone, but if you choose replay storyline, you can swap to Threads at any time.

Blizzard hasn't nerfed BfA emissaries, yet it seems, and they still reward 2,000 gold when completed.
If you want to make some quick gold, check out if any of the currently available BfA emissaries reward it.

Reddit user imBlueMercy reported that even supplies still reward 4,000 gold, as shown in the image linked below.

A new meta for Mythic+ is emerging, as Priests are capable of mind controlling mobs in dungeons and make them fall to their deaths, leading to efficient skips.
Here is a Priest mind controlling trash mobs in Mists of Tirna Scithe. There are no invisible walls, so it is possible to make the mobs jump to their death.
One Reddit user claims this also works for all mobs in Halls of Atonement up to the first boss.

It seems the Shadowlands aren't getting the best of receptions over on the user side of things on Metacritic, and since the critic reviews aren't in yet that's the only score available. The negative reviews currently outweigh the positives, which wouldn't be problematic in general, but as often happens with Metacritic user reviews some negative ones are not really accurate or helpful. And the reasoning given in some of these some reviews is pretty... "interesting", so one might characterize this as review bombing.

The scores themselves are always problematic with Metacritic, but it seems Shadowlands is particularly afflicted with this issue at the moment, as the vast majority of the negative side of the slider are just 0 scores. There are some negative ones that are perfectly legitimate, with fair evaluations of the person's opinion, but most are just 0 or 1 scores (in a 0-10 scoring system), and many of them have some VERY insightful "reviews" to offer:
Regardless of some of the above perhaps having some valid points, assigning a 1 or 0 to a game as complex as WoW is just laughable, and while it has become the de-facto way to say "I don't like this", it's just pretty sad to see in the WoW community.
Then there are also those that are legitimately frustrated at the very real issues present, like queues and similar (although with this logic, Vanilla, BC, Classic and basically the majority of WoW expansions would also get a 0):
There's plenty more where that came from, as well as glowing 10-scores, so if you're interested, head on over to Metacritic's page and check them out!
