Soulbind Conduits Will Have 15 Ranks in Shadowlands

Recommended Posts

50675-official-preview-of-soulbinds-and-

We discovered through datamining that all Soulbind Conduits in Shadowlands will be upgradable in some way and have 15 ranks, but we're not sure how we'll be able to obtain the upgrades.

This is all based on datamining so take the information with a grain of salt.

Let's take the Mage Potency Conduit Flame AccretionFlame Accretion as an example. The white portion of the tooltip is variable and scales with each rank as follows:

  • Rank 0: Fireball grants 5% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 1: Fireball grants 5.5% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 2: Fireball grants 6% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 3: Fireball grants 6.75% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 4: Fireball grants 7.5% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 5: Fireball grants 8.25% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 6: Fireball grants 9% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 7: Fireball grants 9.75% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 8: Fireball grants 10.5% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 9: Fireball grants 11.25% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 10: Fireball grants 12% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 11: Fireball grants 12.75% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 12: Fireball grants 13.5% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 13: Fireball grants 14.25% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.
  • Rank 14: Fireball grants 15% Mastery when it fails to critically strike.

We currently do not have any information on how we will be upgrading Soulbinds Conduits in Shadowlands, as the system is not yet fully available for testing, so anything at this point would be just pure speculation.

And neither are Blizzard probably.

I really, really, really don't like the way WoW is going right now. Every expansion we get a new set of undercooked systems, that are implemented not because they improve the game but just so there is something new in there. Then once we get into Beta, everyone realizes that those systems don't work, but the devs won't admit defeat, so they spent 12 months trying to make things work, then they practically give up with the x.2 patch, and just when you think they learned their lesson, in comes the x.3 patch with another broken system, and at that point it's not worth fixing because the next expansion is around the corner, undoing 2 years worth of work because nothing will carry over.

You can say what you want about WoD (I think it's still the 2nd worst XPack), but at least things either worked or they didn't really affect gameplay.

I concur, they do improve the game hugely for many class/specialization that would feel half-finished, useless or just plain boring without an added "system" layer. Now of course, this doesn't means there is no problem, because fixing the base character gameplay would be ultimately better than sugarcoating it with new traits, but as it stands they are somewhat of an acceptable compromise for balancing.

All comes down to execution, what is important here is how you get those ranks, are they simply gotten with Renown (AKA the new artifact power which is capped in how far you can go every week)? Then they are unlocked basically for free! This is only a very preliminar data mine.

While I'm pretty sure these will rank up with Azerite Renown, it's flat power increase that's no BS like Corruptions. Heh, we'll see.

The title maybe doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's a lot worse than it sounds. You may have seen the recent crazy turn speeds that created flightless brutosaur helicopters and similar, but now that particular console command is being used offensively.
After sharing the console turn speed command earlier in a fun clip, Automaton17 came back with a followup as they noticed the command being used in PvP to mess with players' controls. While mind controlling a player you can actually adjust this variable (and only this one) to completely mess with their turn speed, making it either crazy high (so that any press makes them spin wildly), or making it 0 (so that they can't move with the keyboard at all). Now I can hear everyone yelling about keyboard turners already, but most people keep their default bindings for movement keys and occasionally presa their A and D keys, so it's still a pretty big deal.
This sounds like one of those no-brainer suspension/ban causes, so I really wouldn't suggest trying this, at least not outside of a friendly duel to check out how it works and have some fun. This is quite literally editing someone else's WoW configuration while having control over their character, and while it may sound fun and entertaining, and "just" affects keyboard turners, there are still many new players that won't even understand what's happening nor how to fix it, and plenty of veterans might be confused too:
Here's the original clip of the turn speed variable changes, we couldn't find any of it in PvP action:
The full thread goes into why this one particular variable is editable while others aren't, as well as tips on how to fix it (a /reload or logout works or you can just use the /console turnspeed 180 command to reset it to default and If it keeps happening you can also just rebind your turn keys to strafe instead).
Hopefully Blizzard can address this soon, as having other players edit any of your settings is just wrong, no matter how silly it looks.

We have a really easy way to get any missing Legendary memories without having to do any of the related activities, but it may take a long time to get to it if you haven't been keeping up with your Covenant.
You may have/most likely did miss this little detail in your Renown quartermaster's inventory, as he sells the Chronicle of Lost Memories item which will unlock a random not-already-learned legendary memory. This includes memories from raids, PvP, Torghast and any other activity or even reputation vendor (but you'll still need rep for that last one)!

      Source.
The catch is you need to have reinforced 4 permanent locations with your Covenant Anima Conductor. This requires you to have at least the rank 2 Conducor AND to have basically reinforced a location most days since Shadowlands launched, since you'll need 40 reinforced locations to get the 4 permanent ones needed, and each takes 24 hours to reset. For some players this means it'll take a while to gain access to this, but for some it'll be immediately available.

You'll need the Grateful Offering currency you get from the reinforced anima location activities to buy a memory, but you should have plenty if you've done them at all (I have 100+ and haven't been doing a lot of them).
As mentioned, an important caveat is that reputation-based memories still require you to have the needed rep in order to use them, so this unfortunately isn't a method of skipping certain grinds (like the Covenant faction reps, Avowed one etc).
This was spotted by dack-janiels and might push you to continue your reinforcement efforts, but if you haven't been doing it much it's going to take you a long while to catch up.

Here's an addon that lets you loot faster in WoW.
It's called Speedy AutoLoot, and it makes you loot all items as fast as possible. It hides the default loot window for a seamless gameplay experience. We tested the addon out, and the speed difference is really noticeable, especially in Torghast, where you need to constantly loot Phantasma from mobs.

You can type /sal in the game to toggle settings.
      Speedy AutoLoot Features
The addon works with TSM Destroy. A command allows you to enable auto-loot on all characters. You can set a sound that plays when your inventory is full with the /sal set (SoundID) command, so if you do /sal set (3738125), the addon will play the sound files associated with "BUTTONS". You can pick SoundID (3571677) for "Mrraaazz!". You can download Speedy AutoLoot on CurseForge.

Tired of seeing bots that you can't kill because you play with War Mode off? You can fool them by using toys!
Not all heroes wear capes! Change1378 came up with a clever method of fooling bots on live servers. The idea is to figure out what spot on the ground they click on and drop toys on these spots to make bots interact with them.
Hyper-Compressed Ocean works really well, according to the author, because it overrides most clicks. Other toys include infinite chests or any toy that makes you sit down like chairs.
      Card
Here's how it all looks in action.

Thekingofbeans42 followed the same method, and they were able to break the squad of farming bots.
