Blizzard's Official Response to Transmog Flexibility with Legion Artifacts in Shadowlands

Recommended Posts

In the latest Shadowlands Beta update, Blizzard relaxed transmog restrictions on Legion Artifacts, so now, players can use the appearances for transmog regardless of their specialization. You can also use main-hand and off-hand Artifact appearances independently or dual-wield the same weapons!

With this week’s update to the Shadowlands Beta, players will have new options and availability for transmogrification of their Legion Artifacts.

Now, Legion Artifact appearances for all specs of your class are now available in their respective weapon categories. For example, Doomhammer will be found in “One-handed maces”.

The new Artifact appearances obey the usual transmogrification rules. For example, you can use the Ashbringer appearance on your two-handed mace, but not on a one-hand shield. Main-hand and off-hand Artifact appearances are granted independently in these tabs, so you can use Oathseeker appearances independently from Truthguard ones.

Now, a long as you possess the required proficiencies, there are no restrictions on duplicate appearances, and there are no restrictions on which hand they can be used in. For example, you can dual-wield Doomhammers or even Fury of the Stonemothers.

The existing transmogrification system for Legion Artifacts is entirely retained – the “Artifact Pair” tab still contains your spec-specific appearances, and you can still use the special rules allowing you to apply them over most other weapon types and combinations.

We look forward to hearing what you think of it after you’ve tried it out!

Not sure why this wasn't a thing in BFA. Being stuck using a lame shield to have my cool claws, as Ele Sham, was terrible and I could have the claw with a different shield just fine in Legion. Oh well! Two years too late, but finally happening.

so this will come just with shadowlands, and not the pre patch? ?

No most likely with pre patch. Anything that isn't "in the shadowlands" content, such as covenents, soulbinds etc, will be in pre patch, (technically it'll all be there we just won't be able to get there yet ? )

As with other megadungeons, Dawn of the Infinite will be separated into two wings with Mythic+ and Heroic difficulty available in a future update to the game.
This will probably occur at around Season 3 when a new dungeon rotation's added.
The latest Patch 10.1.5 Build 49908 adds entries of two separate wings for the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon, which means it will be enabled for Mythic+ in the future with Heroic difficulty available:
Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall - The infinite dragonflight has invaded the Bronze Temple. Help Nozdormu and Chromie take back the Timeways! Dawn of the Infinite: Murozond's Rise - Murozond rises. Race against time with Chromie to correct the past!

Blizzard is adding upgrade tracks for Mythic Item Level 441 gear in Patch 10.1.5.
Currently on live servers you cannot upgrade Mythic gear. However, that's about to change in Fractures in Time when Mythic Gear will receive 3 upgrade ranks.
Rank 1 Upgrade: Item Level 441 > 443 Rank 2 Upgrade: Item Level 443 - 445 Rank 3 Upgrade: Item level 445-447 The change also applies retroactively to Great Vault loot / any loot obtained before the patch goes live, as per Reddit comments.

Twitch has posted new branded content guidelines leaving many streamers disappointed. After witnessing the initial community reaction, Twitch apologized for the confusion and frustration caused and promised to rewrite them.
The guidelines would limit on-stream logos to 3% of screen size and disallow burned-in video, display, and audio ads, which could have devastating effects on streamers.
Streamers would still be able to use channel page panel ads, products in the background of their stream, links in chat, discuss/unbox products, and play sponsored games, as stated in the guidelines.

Placeholder for tweet 1666129789160239111 Twitch later responded to their policy change after witnessing the community backlash and said they "do not intend to limit streamers' ability to enter into direct relationships with sponsors" and that "guidelines were intended to prohibit third-party ad networks from selling burned in video and display ads on Twitch".
