How to Reach Gladiator With No Healer

Recommended Posts

In his latest video, Rextroy shows how to become a Gladiator without a healer with an off-meta composition that includes a Protection Paladin and two Death Knights!

Quote

How the comp works: The comp double DK (mostly frost) and Protection Paladin is insanely strong mainly due to the fact it can counter most other comps.

Against double melee, while staying on the enemy healer, you are able to affect the whole enemy team with double their usual cooldown recovery thanks to Heartstop Aura. It is also quite easy to stick to the enemy thanks to double grip.

Against casters, you have two anti magic zones that can nullify their kill attempts, aswell as a large amount of immunities. Death Knights also excel in self sustain against burst damage thanks to Death Strike. So the offhealing potential of a Protection Paladin is enough to keep them alive.

Protection Paladin is overall similar to an offensive type healer, we have less overall healing but more immunities aswell as shutdowns (silence, knockbacks, aswell as having an Interrupt). This is really helpful for your kill attempts when you combo double necrotic aura into double chillstreak since you can shut down the healer during that time.

Playing double Unholy is also really strong, but weaker against melee since you might have survival issues. However stronger against casters if they really attempt to avoid Chillstreak. Strats that seem to work well:

Rogue / Mage / Healer

Against this, focus on the healer. Your team will have enough immunities and survival to outlast their burst attempts (if you use them right) You will also be able to lockdown the enemy healer and force defensives thanks to all your interrupts. This was one of the easier comps to face

Warlock / Caster / Healer

Against this, Unholy worked much better than frost. No matter how your setup is, splitting 1 death knight on each enemy caster is great to reduce their pressure. Your strategy in this case is to make the enemy healer go OOM, or find opportunities when you can all shift onto one target and kill it while enemy healer is in a stun - silence chain.

Melee / Melee / Healer

This can be harder depending on the enemy DPS, if they are cooldown reliant or not. The usual strat is to go on the enemy healer but be ready to do sudden shifts onto the DPS incase the enemy team is peeling too much, or you are unable to keep up momentum (or if they are a ghost wolf shaman)

I won't be able to list every tactic against every comp, and it will differ a lot depending on the enemy teams playstyle. A lot of teams can get confused facing a double DK / prot pala team and be unsure who to target etc, use this to your advantage.

(I will obviously not list our weaknesses here)

Try out zerging the enemy healer in most scenarios and see what works and what won't work for you! Make sure not to get locked onto one strategy all the time since at different ratings people might become better at countering a certain strat.

Running out of space but quick notes:

Corruptions:

Versa stacking for Pala (mastery / gushing for more offense, perhaps ineff) Gushing for DKs (or versa if you want more defense, haste if needed)

Quick notes on Paladin talents / essence

Conflict and Strife Major (horse knockback) is really great, making you immune to future CC while on your horse. Good if you stack versa.

Touch of the everlasting Major (secondary life) really good if it is a fast game. Resets the Cooldown on your Guardian of Forgotten Queens (immunity).

Guardian of Forgotten Queens is a good talent but not a must. It is usually CCed really quickly. If you focus your own survival, go without the talent. Shield of Virtue REALLY good. Judgement of the pure healing / inquisition dmg. Hallowed Ground is good against enemy slows if you rush healer. Good paired with Consecrated Ground against melee. Sacred Duty with Blessing of Spellwarding great against casters.

Righteous Protector if you need survival Seraphim great offense

Death Knights:

Conflict of Strife (must) for Chillstreak / Necro strike Transfusion for survival Heartstop for shutdown on enemy CDs (Abomination for UH) Necrotic Aura for dmg or Zone for your teams survival against casters. Delirium (frost) vs MW monk (1 min roll CD). Death pact good as a "panic" button, unholy Spell eater for CC immunity. Asphyxiate mostly for additional CC.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
