Characters Deleveled, Deleted and More on Khadgar Server

Recommended Posts

We have one of the weirder events in WoW happening right now over on the Khadgar server, although this one isn't quite the planned "pre-expansion event" type thing. Many players on the server have logged in as they always do only to find a reverted state of their character screens, with deleted characters being back, their mains and other level 120 characters being back in some point of either the Mist of Pandaria expansion (with levels varying from 80 to 90 and more, probably to the state they were in at that time), race changes reverted, new characters disappearing, basically everything went back to a specific time point. That's not all however, as some players are even getting these old copies just added to their accounts, so they have their mains at the normal BfA level as they left them, but then ALSO have that same character at level 85 on the character list (and playable).

While the exact cause of the issues is still unclear, Khadgar did have a failed server connection attempt last week and is scheduled to retry that connection tomorrow. But what is certain is the Shadowlands level squish has just taken on a whole new meaning for the folks on the server.

Blizzard are aware of the issue and luckily the original, max level characters are safe (and presumably so are all the other changes made since MoP), and they are working on the issue.

Hey all,

I thought it be best to consolidate the active threads on this matter into one. This allows you to only have to keep an eye on a single thread instead of multiples. I’m going to lock the other threads here and refer back to this one.

As many of you are aware there appears to be an issue, specific to the realm of Khadgar it seems, where several characters have “deleveled”. It is something that our teams are aware of and it is under investigation. The original higher level characters do not appear to be gone, so our teams are looking into what caused the issue, how to prevent it going forward, and how to return access to the higher level characters.

Right now we encourage anyone experiencing this issue to submit a ticket for tracking purposes.

When we receive an update we’ll pass it along here.

Big thanks to WhyTroyWhy on our discord for giving us the heads up on this, and hopefully the issue gets resolved soon for Khadgar players.

Source.

I presume this is the US server not the EU one?

Yes, the forum posts are all on the US side.

Man, that must've been really worrying for a while. But how cool to get a snapshot of your past like that.

Not "for a while", still on-going. Khadgar is my main server and things are still happening and nothing is resolved yet. WhyTroyWhy (one of the sources) is actually a friend of mine, he has TEN toons effected by all of this. I have 3 alts effected, one was originally a Dwarf Hunter that I had changed to a Draenei and it was 120, it's not lvl 90 Dwarf again. Another guildmate of mine Used to have a DK on the server that he either deleted or transferred off of the server and made a Shaman afterwards with the same name. The 1st half of the day yesterday his Shaman was there, the 2nd half of the day his Shaman is GONE and his DK is back and now he can't raid unless he's on a Mage alt that's in blue gear. Today my GL's DK got a duplicate of itself before he got it's name changed and is also lower level.

My characters on EU are also gone. I have made a ticket. I can't find their names in wowarmory, but i remember their names but not which server they were on :,c So its not only US.

The racial armor man is back, as Arthur "Handclaw" Lorenz has finished up his next project! You may know him from his almost-insane project of creating racial armors for each class and race combination (almost 200 unique sets) or his more recent, but equally impressive Barrens Warfront concept (with even more themed armor sets, weapons, siege engines etc.), and possibly to a lesser extent for making a unique Icy Veins armor set for an Ogre Frost DK! And today we get some more of his brilliance, as he continues to update his "all class and race armor combos" dream, by adding the newly introduced Allied Race DKs to the mix. We also get to talk to him again after our big interview and hear the inspirations and thoughts behind the sets as well!
Also, it seems we're getting these ones courtesy of Halloween:
We're starting off with the Alliance, as we take a look at their side of the Allied Race addition (as well as a bonus Pandaren at the end):

      And on to the Horde:

There are much more detailed images for each of the races over on Handclaw's Artstation, so make sure to head on over there, and meanwhile we're just going to pick our favorite:

If any of this looked cool to you, you should absolutely check out our interview with Handclaw and the massive race/class armor sets as well.

There's been a lot of crazyness going on with level scaling and low level players doing a whole lot of damage in the Shadowlands pre-patch, and today we see the power of a level 1... in WoW Classic! Retail isn't the only place to get crazy things done, as Exehn has geared up his Rogue minimum level twink to the maximum and is out for blood! The blood of insanely higher level players, that is, as he takes down players at levels 19-21.
Obviously his survival is mostly due to the high amounts of dodge he has due to his low level and the way agility scales (and only facing off against physical damage targets), but he still gets close to dying a lot, at which point the crazy fast healing from a bandage kicks in as well. The key in this particular video, however, is the Curse of Recklessness he is casting on himself via a Horde character he is also controlling, to get his Attack Power to some crazy levels (for a lvl1) - 284.
Exehn has also made a guide video to twinking your own level 1:

This is a really great one (in more ways than one), as KamuiCosplay has recreated Bolvar's giant hammer from the Shadowlands intro cinematic in great detail! Not only does it look good, but it also changes from its original fiery state to the more frosty one (which got him beaten up by some shadow chains), lights up with a whole lot of LEDs, produces smoke and more!
The build took a whole lot of time, clocking in at 150ish hours, which makes sense when you consider it has 451 LEDs, a smoke machine, a motion sensor and weight 2.3 KG! Luckily for us, the entire process was documented and we get to check out this video with the highlights!
