War Mode Bonuses Are Here to Stay in Shadowlands

Recommended Posts

War Mode bonuses are not going anywhere and the automatic bonus scaling will continue to work as it does in Battle for Azeroth.

Will alliance keep their increased 30% xp and rewards buff when Shadowlands releases?

Hello.

The automatic bonus scaling will continue to function in Shadowlands as it does in Battle for Azeorth.

Of course, it’s not only for Alliance players! Players could choose to shift the relative numbers between the factions, and the bonus would scale accordingly.

Normally i dont even care such comments, but man ... that was a middlefinger to the players somehow ?

Anyway, i will keep it as i kept it with warmode in BfA to determine if i use it or not and ask me the following question from casual PvP-PoV as well as economy, stress and time - PoV

a) What kind of WQ's and in which zone? (Hotspot for ganking and gold / material income)

b) Can my Overtuned Corgi Goggles calm me down enough to keep it active?

c) What is the overall WIN and do i get any other benefits / achievements with active wm or not?

My experience in BfA was a very clear one:

80% of the time i got alot more benefits without warmode since i doubled, even tripled my income many times, since there were no corpsecamper or multiple ganking groups. Also i did more stuff when i was done doing the preparations for the raids and m+ runs and had enough time to get more gold with doing daily stuff on alts. The time when i was participating in (in my opinion) time wasting activities like world pvp is gone somehow. I lost interest in PvP nearly completely with Legion and BfA. It's somehow we had a relationship for many years and then the guys named Rnjesus and Corruptus strongus came to destroy the last "glimmer of light" within it. ?

Anyway - sure some people will again abuse this bonus as much as possible, but my experience was more bad than good and for the sake of my bloodpressure i will turn it off and enjoy the won time and nerves.

edit.:

To display this situation, i linked you this:

To some extent I think this is just a natural downside of the system. Give people a choice and they have to make the choice. Offer easy, visible incentives for one choice (even if only intended to equalise the choices' returns) and not taking it feels like a negative. I have occasionally very much related to what you express in that post -- 'time' and 'nerves' particularly. And at that point I've turned WM off. I think that's healthy. You should play what's fun. It's unfortunate that it's not as easy as just telling people (even ourselves!) that.

Overall, though, I've loved it as a system. I've played with it on 90% of the time, despite coming from a PvE realm.

So long as there are batallions of max-level Ferals too useless to do relevant conent and resorting to low-level ganks, I'm keeping this off.

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale

We've looked at the Mythic+ Tier List for the first time in Patch 10.2.6!

The tier list of each spec is determined by its effectiveness and prevalence at the highest levels of Mythic+ play.
