Battle for Azeroth Will Be Added to the Base Game on October 13th

Recommended Posts

Battle for Azeroth is currently not included in the Shadowlands pre-purchase, but this will change soon and you won't have to purchase the expansion separately.

Pre-purchasing Shadowlands does not currently include the latest expansion WoW expansion, Battle for Azeroth. On the contrary, Battle for Azeroth is required to pre-purchase Shadowlands.

Common Problems

  • Do I need BFA to play Shadowlands?
  • If I buy Shadowlands, does it come with BFA?
  • What's included with my purchase of Shadowlands?
  • Does heroic includes access to all allies and flying achievement

Battle for Azeroth is not included with the Shadowlands pre-purchase.

To purchase the Shadowlands pre-purchase you need to already have Battle for Azeroth purchased, or purchase a Complete Collection for the World of Warcraft account.

Everything will change with the release of the Shadowlands pre-patch on October 13, 2020, and the Battle for Azeroth expansion will be added to the base game, meaning you won't need to purchase it separately, and an active subscription will be enough to play all content up to BfA.

When the Shadowlands pre-patch goes live, you will be able to buy Shadowlands separately.

With the release of the BfA pre-patch, Blizzard made the Legion expansion part of the base game, which is why we think the same is going to happen with BfA when the Shadowlands pre-patch drops.

Can you link the official post on this?

No official post (yet) but this has been the pattern for many expansions prior: as soon as their pre-patch hits you only need to buy the new expansion and the baseline game is rolled into it / monthly sub.

Click "Source" up there.

I did and nothing in it says BfA will be free on the 13th, go away troll.

Oh and it actually displays the source too so I don't need to click on it.

No trolling here, you asked the official source, so I have directed you to the "official part" of this whole post.
I suggest you to read the whole post and please remain civil and not toxic in our forums. Thanks!

Of course you are trolling, it may be true but the "source" has absolutely no information in it that you claim it has.

Now the second link has the proof.

You either do not know what trolling is or maybe you are actually trying to troll this thread yourself, because even with solid proof proving our first claim you are still needlessly accusing me of trolling.

First of all, I am a proud member of Icy Veins team, why would I try to troll anyone here? I am just trying to help informing our readers and followers.

So to clear the waters one last time, let me clarify this again:
When this first post has been posted, there was not an official confirmation and we never said there was, yet we backed our educated guess on official posts and previous happenings, that's the "source" of this first post, hence I suggested you to check that.

Now, it has happened and as we have guessed; proved us right. Even you had to accept this, despite all of the questionable skepticism.

So, in the end, we may say it is a "Happy Ending" to this and I would say we did our duty of informing people about what may (or will) happen, special thanks to our original poster and news writer Stan here.

You are all welcome, enjoy the Pre-patch and have fun! ?

Of course I know what trolling is and at the time the proof given was non existent.

At the time you were guessing.

No confirmation at the time yet LOOK AT THE TITLE OF THE POST!

Again, the Post says it will happen BEFORE Blizzard announced it.

I stand by my comments. No one knew it was going to happen and the post gave the impression they knew.

Hence Trolling.

I hope they will do same for DragonFlight pre-patch as well. Include the Shadowlands in it. Waiting for this to be included in Dragonflight base editon.

Please Blizzard please!

The fourth War Within Alpha build brought some changes to Skyriding powers.
      Skyriding Power Changes
Skyriding Basics- While falling from a high location, your mount Dragon Isles drake extends its wings to propel you both forward. Pointing yourself downward grants more momentum. Evening out can transfer that momentum forward. Pointing yourself upward slows you down. When at your slowest, you will start to fall slowly toward the ground. You also gain access to the following abilities: Surge Forward Flap forward. Skyward Ascent Flap upward. Skyrider's Initiative- While dragonriding skyriding at middle speed and above, you gain stacks of Dragonrider's Skyrider's Initiative, up to 10. When landing at mid-to-high speeds, you create a shockwave, damaging enemies for [ Greater of {72% of Spell Power} or {72% of Attack Power * (1 + 0) / 10} ] per stack, split among them, and disorienting them for 3 sec. Landing at low speeds cancels Dragonrider's Skyrider's Initiative. Skyrider's Hunt- Defeating an enemy increases your Vigor  will grant your you 1 vigor. Vigor recharge rate by 10% for 3 sec. This effect can only occur once every 10 sec. Ground Skimming- When dragonriding skyriding near the ground, you regenerate 1 Vigor every 30 sec. This effect does not occur while affected by Thrill of the Skies unless Swift Skimming is learned. Thrill of the Skies- While dragonriding skyriding at high speeds, you regenerate 1 Vigor every 15 sec. Vigor- Dragonriding Skyriding abilities spend Vigor. Spending time on the ground, whether mounted or dismounted, regenerates 1 Vigor every 30 sec. Skyrider's Cultivation- Gathering herbs or minerals increases your Vigor recharge rate by 400% for 3 sec will replenish 1 vigor. Skyrider's Compassion- While airborne on a Skyriding mount, Dragon Isles drake, you gain stacks of Dragonrider's Skyrider's Compassion, up to 10. When you dismount, you gain a shield worth 1% of your health and gain 1% movement speed per stack, lasting 30 sec Lift Off- When mounted on a dragonriding skyriding mount, double jump to launch upward and start gliding forward. Skyriding Skill Track
In the War Within expansion, the Dragonriding Skill Track has been updated:
Dragonriding Glyphs have been renamed to Skyriding power (current PH name is Dragon Power) You will gain extra Skyriding power as you level. The costs of all Skyriding Powers has been reduced to 1 Dragon Power. A premade Level 70 template character starts with 20 Skyriding power and can unlock all the perks in the tree.
On the right side, you can enable/disable the Ride Along feature and the second node lets you pick between Whirling Surge and Lightning Rush at no cost.

All Mists of Pandaria raids and World Bosses are on a daily lockout in Patch 10.2.7.
We're not sure if the change is intended or a MoP Remix feature, but somehow, daily lockouts for MoP raids and World Bosses have slipped through to live servers even before the event's starts on May 16. Maybe this is a way to give retail players more chances on Tusks of Mannoroth since you can buy them directly from a vendor during MoP Remix.
If you're farming Garrosh, don't forget there is a skip at the beginning of the raid. As you enter, interact with the scroll on the wall.

Blizzard has added Glyph of Jab for Monks in the War Within, making Tiger Palm strike your target with your equipped weapon!
We've got some great news for all Monk players out there. In the War Within expansion, Blizzard has added Glyph of Jab that makes Tiger Palm strike your target with your equipped weapon, instead of your fists.

In the past, Glyph of Jab was a minor glyph used by monks, designed to ensure that the Jab ability was executed with hands and fist animations even when non-fist weapons were equipped. You will find more details here.
