DW frost looking to better my DPS

Recommended Posts

Just looking for some feedback on what I could do to improve on my DPS.

Armory:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/stormreaver/Igetdahkstoo/advanced

Logs:

These are all on flex as I have already done most of what i'll clear on normal this week(waaaaah pugs tongue.png ) and don't have logs for them.

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/i6xxezceollj0hfu/details/98/?s=1336&e=1643 DPS seems really low for some reason, even for this fight.

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/i6xxezceollj0hfu/details/98/?s=1789&e=2101

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/i6xxezceollj0hfu/details/98/?s=2462&e=2706

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/i6xxezceollj0hfu/details/98/?s=2920&e=3201

Let me know if you need more logs or any more info.

And I am using the simple rotation.

Kinda low uptime on plagueon the protecters

No pots i believe

I wouldn't use death and decay at all

Maybe increase your haste cause i know at lowish ilvls sometimes having low haste sucks

Can't say much more for the protectors fight kinda did this in a hurry

I don't see anything obviously wrong. It is flex, so not wanting to use Potion / Flask etc is fine. That and given your current weapons + trinkets, there is only so much numbers that you can pull. unsure.png  My only concern would be blood plague uptime because it looks like you don't use obliterate in your rotation (which is fine). So, how are you recycling your unholy runes? If you use them on Plague Strike I would have expected higher uptime numbers on some of these fights.

Quickly looking at it again i found that you only got 50 runic from horn of winter on average i'd say it should be more like 100

Also maybe could gained more from ams only gained 360 granted idk maybe not I don't really know

You absolutely should be using DnD on protectors and you should be using DnD any time there are adds to AOE or the boss will stand in it the whole time. So basically use it on cooldown.

Your dps looks fine for your gear level minus the low uptime of bp. Soul reaper is ehhh, not using it is ok but you'd probably see a few more deeps during the execute phase. flask and pots would help and so would properly soaking with AMS when you can.

Honestly in my opinion, I would check out askmrrobot.com first, since I see you have some stam gems and honestly you're not a tank, you're dps smile.png you need to kill that dude as fast, as possible and kick ass. I believe there'sa green gem that's hit/mastery, or you might check out straight mastery, but I don't think theres a green that's str/mastery. aside from that I didn't really look up your rotation, since im 2h frost and we use obliterate almost every time its on the killing machine proc, im not sure why its out for DW, but yeah. As for DnD USE IT, it is another DoT that hurts your boss, adds, and everything else that's red, unless its right before adds, where you are left without it, like in sha or pride I think it is, then use it when adds come out, other than that I use it on rotation...

Thanks for the feedback all smile.png

Working on uptime on Plague(I spend my UH runes on plague strike usually)

Working on soaking a bit better with AMS, and Horn of Winter I use generally only as a filler when I don't have anything else to cast so I can understand not much RP from that.

I just started using Soul reaper in the past few days so i'm still getting into the habit of using it and hopefully will soon get better and working as many in as possible.

Generally I only have been using D&D when there are a significant amount of adds around(sun's desperate measures phase, self-reflection on sha, etc.) but I will try using it more on CD if the boss won't be moving out of it.

As for why I have Mastery/stamina gems in my blue slots, is because I am over hit cap(not the best itemized gear) after reforging out of hit on every item that has it. so the hit is wasted until I am in better itemized gear, so I went with mastery/stamina to get the socket bonus(if anyone has info on when I should just go for straight mastery or whatever stat, and forego socket bonuses, that would be great)

you would only ignore the socket bonus if the bonus was anything but str, which to my knowledge is nothing 553+ or if the piece already has mastery and has blue sockets OR if you feel you aren't close to dying. IE shoulders that give mastery and have 2 blue sockets; just jam mastery gems in there. but the rest of the time if its red/blue or yellow/blue just go ahead and go for the socket bonus.

your current gem set up is totally fine, DKs have low hp compared to almost everyone else so having a little extra healer buffer is not a bad thing at all, esp when you are over hit cap. With your current gear I'm not seeing any  piece for you to go straight fractured gems, because single best gem and socket for us is red with the hybrid str/mast gem.

Intergalactic is an AOTC/Mythic progression guild now recruiting for Shadowlands raiding and M+.  We are a group of friends who were interested in the fun of raiding while understanding that life responsibilities take precedent. We are a combination of new and returning players from various expansions. While social players are always welcomed, we are more specifically looking for players who are interested in a fun, relaxed environment to progress through content. We do run M+ keys, transmog/gear and achievement runs when possible.
Intergalactic did not run as a guild during Bfa. We had members getting bored with Bfa content and decided to spend their time on other things. We did do some content with some of the guilds in our community group. Our last guild raids were in Legion. The majority of our core has come back in anticipation for Shadowlands. We are excited to be back as an active guild on Korgath and it's connected realms. We look forward to having you join us!  (Korgath is connected with  Cairne, Cenarius, Frostmane, Ner’zhul, Perenolde, and Tortheldrin.
What we expect from all of our Members:
In short, “Be excellent to each other.” We’re not looking for members filled with drama and toxicity. We’re all friends here and while we may not all agree on a particular subject, it can be discussed in a friendly, constructive, and respectful manner. A good sense of humor is a must. We aren’t looking for Members who only log in on raid days. Other events will be on the calendar, as well, and we hope that you’ll sign up and attend.
What we expect from our Raiders:
Raiders are to sign up on the calendar for events. If you are going to be late or if you will be unable to attend at the last-minute, please notify the GM, Raid Lead or an Officer as soon as possible.
Raiders are expected to log in approximately 15 minutes prior to raid start and be outside the raid with consumables and enhancements. We will provide feasts, cauldrons, and repairs. We can provide extra food, enchants, gems when available, all we ask for is either a monetary donation or help with crafting materials.
Raiders are expected to be prepared with knowledge of raid mechanics, as well as class-specific knowledge. Know your strengths and weaknesses and be willing to openly receive and give helpful constructive criticism when needed.
Raiders are expected to be progression-oriented, with the understanding that some mechanics/fights may take multiple attempts. We can’t progress through raids without everyone working as a team to try and work through the mechanics.
Raiders who are capable of playing multiple classes/specs may be asked to switch to a more appropriate character to work through particular mechanics. We maintain a smaller roster and sometimes rotate people in based on fight specifications.
Raid Days/Times: Wednesday/Friday at 8pm Server/9pm EST, possible carryover on Saturdays
Roles Needed: Ranged DPS and/or multi-spec players
      We require:
      Discord
      Deadly Boss Mods
      Details! Damage Meter (preferred)
If you think that we would be a good fit, please send a DM to Northeos, Nanami or Thawn. Or simply add us on Battle Tag.

      Hey Everyone,
So i play a Demon Hunter Lvl 120 with iLVL 464.
My DPS in dungeons is just so low compared to everyone else and i dont know why. I was in a M8+ earlier and the ilvl 450 Tank was doing more DPS than I was.
Any tips? Check out my gear/character, i think its all setup right. I went through the Icy Veins Demon Hunter guide and stat priority etc... Got a rotation, but something isnt right. Im always last on DPS even with 440 ilvl players in the group.

      Thanks for reading!

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 8/9M BoD | 2/2H CoS | 8/8M Uldir CE   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:
Ranged DPS: High: Shadow Priest, Mage Medium: Warlock 1 Healer:
      High: Resto Shaman, Mistweaver Monk

*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience. You need to have the best gear available to you with top end enchants and gems where available. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Alloren (Alloren#1606), Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!
