Mouse

Recommended Posts

I've been playing on the laptop I got since 4.2, and the poor old mouse on it finally took it's last breath. Any suggestions for a new mouse, preferably wireless?

I always found that a wireless mouse has some noticeable lag, which makes it less than ideal for playing games. I guess it can work for WoW, but it becomes more of a problem for shooter games.

I guess a good entry level mouse would be http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-mouse-m560?crid=7

If you want performance, then you would be better off with something from Razer (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice), but it all depends on your needs and budget, which you did not explicitly state wink.png

In my opinion it doesn't REALLY matter. I mean yeah of course it does matter, but every mouse with like 2-3 extra buttons will help you a bit. I have my Razer DeathAdder and I really like it. If you are doing PvE, I don't think you need a better mouse. If you doing PvP, maybe you could use a Naga.

My advice is a robust mouse with some extra buttons (don't overdo it!)

I personally favor a wired mouse and im using a Logitech G500 atm.

It has a solid case and easy accessible buttons. And though it crashed several times on to the floor rolleyes.gif  it still works perfectly. I've also tried a G600 but the buttons are not beneficial for me.

For work I use the Logitech M705.  The battery lasts a long time (>1 year) and it feels great with not many buttons to clutter.

At home I use the Logitech G700.  For WoW, the buttons are all accessible and laid out in a fashion where you don't get confused which ones you are hitting.  It also has the option of being wired or wireless.

Thanks for all the input! I went with a Logitech wireless mouse from Walmart with two extra the buttons. I'll probably go with a wired mouse when I finish interning and my job situation makes my living arrangements more permanent(because then I'm going to build a PC).

I'm a huge fan of the Logitech G-series.  You can download their software, and change each of the buttons to a specific command, such as a number or a key combination.  I use the side as 8 and the middle click for 0.
