ISBoxer Will Be Updated to Comply With Blizzard's New Multiboxing Policies

ISBoxer, the most popular WoW multiboxing software, will get rid of input broadcasting capabilities soon.

On November 3, Blizzard posted an update on the use of input broadcast software that mirrors keystrokes to multiple game clients. They think the use of such software hurts the game, and players who continue using it for multiboxing have started receiving warnings that can eventually lead to harsh penalties and even account closures.

As World of Warcraft has evolved, our policies have also evolved to support the health of the game and the needs of the players. We’ve examined the use of third-party input broadcasting software, which allows a single keystroke or action to be automatically mirrored to multiple game clients, and we've seen an increasingly negative impact on the game as this software is used to support botting and automated gameplay. The use of input broadcasting software that mirrors keystrokes to multiple WoW game clients will soon be considered an actionable offense. We believe this policy is in the best interests of the game and the community.

We will soon begin issuing warnings to all players who are detected using input broadcasting software to mirror commands to multiple accounts at the same time (often used for multi-boxing). With these warnings, we intend to notify players that they should not use this software while playing World of Warcraft. Soon thereafter, the warnings will escalate to account actions, which can include suspension and, if necessary, permanent closure of the player's World of Warcraft account(s). We strongly advise you to cease using this type of software immediately to maintain uninterrupted access to World of Warcraft.

Thank you for your understanding.

One of the most popular software solutions when it comes to multiboxing in World of Warcraft is ISBoxer. Recently, one of the developers revealed they would work on some software that doesn't have input broadcasting capabilities to comply with Blizzard's policies.

Our workaround is to work on some software that does not have input broadcasting capabilities.

We need to wait to see how this all pan out for multiboxers and whether ISBoxer will still be prominent without input broadcasting capabilities.

I don't think this is enough because whole point of removing key cloning was to fight the bots and remove all kind of programs interact with WoW. Before due to MB was legal it was hard for them to distinguish Multiboxing with Botting. If Blizzard allow this kind of programs to work again they are buying new problems for themselves. Anyway this new change with ISBoxer should make it legal because they removed key cloning now. I really don't know how this will play out but botting increased in WoW to a boiling point and it is super ridiculous and really hurting WoW economy. Blizzard really need to hire a few ppl to track and kill bots immediately as soon as they appear and this is only way they can remove this parasites from WoW. It is now clear from past experiences in 16  years that current way of Blizzard dealing with bots is NOT working at all.

This change has had 0 effects on botting, from what I've read on it, botting is done using multiple machines themselves running multiple virtual machines with each running scripts for each bot. Thus stopping or banning multiple input software like IS boxer will only affect multiboxers, and not touch bots at all (at least the big ones that do the most damage)

The thing is playing WoW on VM or Cloud-Steaming VMs is against the Blizzard EULA, Those scripts needs some sort of program to compile and run them at the least it needs an application of any sort batch or exe or ... to make it work and Blizzard can and should be able to detect them, The important part is it needs to be stopped at all costs right now at cost of legal actual Multiboxers and this empowered bots instead of killing them. Look at Crimson Fen it is weeks now since start of pre-patch and bots crawling the place and Blizzard done nothing stupid bots with stupid scripts walking like mongrols same regular path again and again, This cannot be stopped with warden or system it needs actual human brain a bot hunting team should be hired by Blizzard. Current way of dealing with them is ineffective tagging them and banning them every 3-6 months and they made enough gold to buy 10 more botting accounts, In achieving this by Blizzard methods actual normal players with peculare but "OK" play style getting hurt.

Botting is itself is against ToS, the how they do it doesn't really matter since what they're doing is bannable anyway.

You're right, it does need stopping, and warden and their current methods are not up to the task. They won't hire people just to sit and detect bots though that's what is needed.

My point was simply that anyone expecting this particular change and clamp down on multi boxxing to have any effect on botting is in for a bad time...

ok so i knew i guy that botted about 5 or so years ago and at that time i just started multiboxing and when i asked him if he did both together he said it dosent work , that the botting software is designed to run one toon only, now he did have more than one computer so he ran a bot on each one. So you really cant say thet multiboxing goes along with botting. And remember that botting dosent require anyone at the keyboard after its started, but to multibox you have to have a person at the keyboard.

I got banned on 10 accounts for multiboxing  even tho i unly  Follow and alt tab , i had is-boxer  but Got banned
Thinking they banned me just for using the program it self. and i will not be getting accounts back Witch isnt realy fun.

im just happy they didnt ban my main acc with over 80 million gold on it .
I lost around 5 million in total on the 10 banned accs.
And yet they barly ban bots... i wuld work for free 2-3 hours a day just banning bot users that bot in instances and sutch witout a problem..

We have the return of flightstones and crests to dungeons, as well as crest-related achievement fixes, and the reduction of required dreamseeds for the weekly quest arrive to retail in today's hotfixes, with a few improvements for SoD and Cata Classic as well!
      May 8 (Source)
      Items
Fixed an issue that prevented Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ dungeons from dropping Flightstones and Awakened Crests correctly. Fixed a bug impacting players’ ability to properly earn “The Awakened Drake”, “The Awakened Wyrm”, and “The Awakened Aspects”, which allow for Awakened Crests to be traded up with Vaskarn in Valdrakken. Quests
“Blooming Dreamseeds” now require 3 planted seeds instead of 5 as the text originally states.
        Season of Discovery
Fixed an issue with Efflorescence generating frequent immune messages on totems.
        Cataclysm Classic
Professor Thaddeus Paleo has returned to Stormwind and Orgrimmar to continue collecting Darkmoon decks and he will continue to do so until the opening of Darkmoon Faire Island.

Blizzard is rolling back the changes made to the Destruction Warlock's Inferno in Patch 10.2.7 due to unintended scaling reductions.
Inferno will be redesigned in the War Within expansion to address how Destruction scales in power in relation to target count.
      (Source)
      Hello, Destruction Warlocks.
With the release of 10.2.7 yesterday, the scaling of Inferno became heavily reduced when Rain of Fire affects more than 5 targets. We investigated this, and found it was a change that was originally implemented with Shadowlands Season 4, and later became unintentionally broken with the launch of Dragonflight and went unnoticed.
With the release of 10.2.7, the reduced scaling was inadvertently fixed when unrelated changes were made.
Considering the timing of this, we’re going to remove the reduced scaling. In The War Within, we plan to redesign Inferno to address how Destruction scales in power in relation to target count.
Thank you for the reports regarding this issue and we hope to have the fix implemented soon.

With the release of Dark Heart, Blizzard has not only reverted Taivan to his former size, but also added new animations for the goodest boy!
We've got some great news for Taivan owners. Blizzard not only brought his size up, but also added unique animations for the mount. Previously, Taivan was using wolf mount animations. Now his running animation and /mountspecial is different from what we've seen before the update!

Many players took to Reddit to share the new size of the goodest boy!

Here we are looking at week 2 of Season 4, just before the patch 10.2.7 tuning! While the raids change every week and the rankings drastically shift with them, the dungeons remain the same and we get a lot more stability, so let's take a look.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 4 remain the same, but we do see Frost Mage on the rise right after that, taking down Outlaw for 5th. Retribution is much improved this week, gaining 5 spots in 7th, with Devastation joining the Paladin on its upward trip, with a very stable Elemental sandwiched between them. Arms closes out the top 10 one spot down.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The generalist bracket is less stable, as we see a change at No.4 already, with Destruction moving 2 up and pushing Outlaw down. Retribution is on a wild ride here as well, 4 up in 6th, while Frost is slowly making its way upward right behind the Paladin. Arms is actually moving up here unlike in the top percentiles, one up in 8th, just in front of a falling Subtlety and a rising Devastation.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Destruction remains in power in the raw DPS charts, while its fellow Warlock drops down quite a bit as Shadow claims the silver. Elemental rises 2 spots into 3rd just ahead of the unstoppable Retribution, which finds itself 7 up! The rest is mostly the same, just making room for the newcomers, with Unholy closing out the top 10 three spots up.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs and u.gg. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.
