Player Pisses off Botters by Turning Them Into Zombies

Recommended Posts

Well, while there's a lot to talk about in the new Zombie invasion, this may be the most brilliant use of the event yet! Moxxface has taken the evil of the Scourge and applied it to the modern day scourge of bots! Using the zombie form he ran across some botters in one of the usual spots and promptly decided to turn them into the undead. This basically completely incapacitates them, as the botting program works on a very specific list of instructions for the spec they're in! To make things even better, the bots don't really know what to do when zombified, as they do have scripts for when they die to run back to their corpses, but not quite when they're just in zombie form for a while.

The perhaps MORE hilarious part is the replies he started getting soon after, as someone noticed the disturbance in the programs and came to manually add brilliant insults! Apparently the fact that he's botting (which is against ToS) "isn't anyone's business", and "he earns more than you". There's plenty more fun to be had below, but there's also quite a bit of spicy language there as well:

Source.

Sterling work. Perfect targets, since the wow community already consider them a scourge lol. Hope this vid gets that botter banned.

This is awesome. Reminds me of playing wow og. There were bots back then as well. How I dealt with them was I played on a warlock. Back then the bots were programmed to automatically accept party invites. I had friends who were miners and herb specialists. I told them all to let me know if they saw any botters when attempting to farm. They would then whisper me I would invite them to the party as well as the bot and invite a people in the area to creat a full party. Then I would fly out to Stormwind harbor cast unending breath on myself and the those who were helping me summon and we would go deep in the harbor so deep that unless you had a warlock there to cast unending breath on you that you would drown. Instantly the bot was summoned to the bottom and we would watch the bot drown. About 8 hours later I would get nasty whispers from people who would curse me out for drowning their bot cause that would prevent the bot from farming the whole day. I would then report them to Blizzard and well the rest was always handled. Ah Good times.

We've all seen the giant Hallowfall crystal and just how great it looks, but as it turns out, the light emanating from it actually changes in a sort of strange day/night cycle, and we get a really awesome transition into Void light animation!
First off we can see a snippet of the change in Blizzard's official short preview of the zone:
And then there's this extended look at the switch, showcasing just how impressive the animations are, by PreachGaming's Chunkeyninja:
And here's a slightly better look at the Void to Light transition, courtesy of Kexman:
The exact timing on the cycle isn't 100% clear, but MrGM noted how it works on the Alpha right now, with a 3 hour cycle, as the Void part remains active for 30 minutes:

Hopefully we'll also get some lore to go with the transition, as the light into void thing is pretty thematically interesting, as well as being really visually impressive.

It's game over until next week for 9 players who've earned every available achievement that grants points! Congrats!
The ongoing Northrend Cup has introduced new achievements for players to complete, and as we all know, some players are incredibly dedicated when it comes to racking up achievement points.
The latest one is osatox, who proudly shared a screenshot showcasing 100% completion of all point-granting achievements!
Placeholder for tweet 1785906134521671737 According to Data of Azeroth, there are currently 9 players leading the pack, having 'beaten the game' so far by mastering every available achievement that gives points.

As you're likely aware, "beating WoW" is often short-lived. The next achievement points await with the arrival of Patch 10.2.7 next week! Keep an eye out for further updates!
