Covenant Representation in Mythic Castle Nathria

With the top 25 all done with Mythic Castle Nathria, Raider.IO took a look at the numbers for Covenants in the raid, including stats for each boss!

We've already seen the numbers for overall Covenants in the Shadowlands, and now Raider.IO used heir own API tools to peek into the Covenant representation for Mythic Castle Nathria, as well as for each boss separately. These are actual numbers we're dealing with here, not a sample or a limited amount of signed up accounts, as the data comes straight from the Blizzard API, so they are very real and accurate numbers. The data is per-character and only counts those that downed bosses in the Mythic raid.

With a complete lack of shock, we found out a certain type of Fae came out on top, but the amount they beat the rest by is pretty staggering:

That's more than double the next most popular Covenant, and more than the next two combined! The rest are pretty close and well-balanced, with the Kyrian coming out on top by a hair.

Raider.IO has data for each boss separately as well, and the numbers do change a little as you get to the later harder bosses, as they focus on the more hardcore guilds. There's also an explanation on the Night Fae trend/domination/complete lack of balance in the article, so make sure to check it out for that and all the boss stats, including Sire Denathrius where the Necrolords and Venthyr climbed up quite a bit.

Soooo....

Night Fae nerf?

Its not that night fae is op or anything, but they offer the best covenant ability for many specs/classes, most importantly to Druids and Hunters who are taking a pretty large portion of all the active playerbase.

It's a little strange to present this data in aggregate over only the covenants. I get that it's an interesting data point, but lacks meaningful breakdown by role. What are ranged DPS (which, yes is mentioned in your linked article as the primary driver of Night Fae being over-represented), versus melee versus healers versus tanks doing on a fight by fight basis? An analysis should go one step further, to the class level. This could help reveal whether Blizzard got balancing the covenants somewhat correct or if their attempts were simply way, way off. From this analysis it looks way way off. I suspect in reality on a role by role or class by class basis it could be closer than we expect, with the outlier being ranged DPS.

The real reason isn't because the Covenant powers are OP. It's the Soulbinds. Night Fae was the first one to get access to double Potency. So, obviously that draws a huge amount of attention. I think they could get it by Renown 13. I won't get double potency until renown 25 as Venthyr. Which means they got theirs 4 weeks ahead of my Covenant. Once the Soulbinds are fully unlocked, I expect quite a few people will be switching covenants. Until then, Night Fae has a bigger power spike thanks to time gating.

Which classes/specs does this apply to? Niya doesn't get second potency until the same week as Nadjia, and I'd be surprised if any DPS's potency conduit is worth more than giving up Niya's Grove Invigoration for Dreamweaver's Podtender, and we're weeks away from the last row of Dreamweaver being available for Field of Blossoms..

Resto druid doesn't even utilize the second potency conduit of Dreamweaver because Social Butterfly and Empowered Chrysalis are stronger than available potency conduits.

Disclaimer: The below should be considered with awareness of the extreme min/maxing mindset that goes on in Mythic raiding guilds who aim for making the Top 100 each raid tier. If your raiding level is just completing Cutting Edge or lower, enjoy the game however you want!

All four Druid specs, all 3 Hunter specs, all 3 Mage specs, all 3 Rogue specs, 2 of 3 Warlock specs, 1 DK spec, and 1 Warrior spec (for a total of 17 of the 36 class/specs), have NF listed as either flat out best or at least competitive for both early and late Soulbind choices, so I don't really see the surprise here, especially given that based on IcyVein's own rankings:

DPS: 4 of the 7 (S + A Tier) could or should be NF

Healers: 1 of the 6 (S + A Tier) could or should be NF

Tanks: 2 of the 6 (A + B Tier, no S rated atm) could or should be NF

I think this is more a condemnation of the other Covenant abilities and the 1st and 7th Soulbind Conduits, given that the balancing of Covenant abilities and Soulbinds is built around the full tree being available.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
