The Internal Alpha for The War Within recently unveiled a potential death of a beloved character lore character. Be warned, this post contains significant lore spoilers, so proceed at your own discretion!
Unlike traditional cutscenes, Alpha relies on text to convey its narrative. The details shared here are extracted from an ART (Animated Real-Time Cutscene), tentatively titled 11.0 [TJR] Thrall and Jaina Leave for Reinforcements, which discloses the following events:
"Thrall, Jaina, Alleria, and Anduin gather in Dornogal to discuss the loss of their joint strike force.
They take a moment for Khadgar."
"Thrall and Jaina say they will return home and work to rally their naval fleets to Khaz Algar, asking Anduin and Alleria to stay behind for the survivors."
It appears Archmage Khadgar dies in the Dalaran crash, but based on 1 line, we can't be 100% certain. However, it's worth noting we didn't see Khadgar at all after this cutscene text.

We got some big news for raiders and the Race to World First viewers during the recent War Within Alpha developer group interview, as Method's Cayna asked about the dreaded Heroic week and whether it would return in the upcoming expansion.
The developers made it clear that Heroic week was indeed returning, so Mythic difficulty would only be unlocked a week after the Nerub'ar Palace raid itself releases! Heroic week has been a hot topic ever since its removal at the start of Dragonflight. After three raids without it, both the top raiders competing for the World First as well as pretty much all Race to World First viewers were very much hoping to see it return.
The problem with going straight to Mythic in the first week of the raid, in relation to the RWF specifically, is that the first few days are exclusively spent in Heroic, as the top guilds farm up the new gear and tier sets. This leaves the viewers with not that much to see, aside from dozens upon dozens of split Heroic and Normal raid groups looking for that perfect gear setup. It's also not a picnic for the raiders themselves, as they have to compress a previously full-week's worth of split farming into as few days as possible, as they want to get into Mythic ASAP and start the race proper.
So it's a lose-lose situation for everyone involved in the RWF, except for perhaps a few of the slightly lower ranked guilds who don't do as many splits, and then head into Mythic sooner and manage to grab a few World Firsts. But even they hit a gear-requirement wall pretty fast. Aside from that, even when we had Heroic week, there were still lower ranked guilds grabbing World Firsts, as the top guilds still do a little bit of Heroic farming on Mythic week as well, so it really is almost all downside (in relation to the RWF). As for non-RWF guilds, they don't really seem to mind either way, as they have their own tempo of heading into Mythic, and it's not really affected either way.
Luckily this won't be an issue in the War Within, at least not in the first raid, as that's the only one Blizzard have confirmed will be getting Heroic week back.

We're speculating about whatthe fate of Dalaran in the War Within pre-expansion event. Spoilers ahead.
While Blizzard hasn't confirmed anything yet, we've noticed some clues in the War Within Alpha that hint at what might have happened to Dalaran.
Initial signs came from the 10.2.7 PTR, where Blizzard adjusted the guard placements in Dalaran and introduced an encrypted model for Kalec's replacement, who is no longer on the council.
In the Internal Alpha, there's a new Dalaran Defender armor set, indicating that we might be defending Dalaran in the upcoming pre-expansion event. This set is listed just above the Season 4 set, further suggesting its connection to the event.
Upon arriving at the Isle of Dorn, you'll find extensive rubble and receive a "Trapped" buff, which reads, "Trapped under a pile of rubble from the crash of Dalaran."
It seems that the attempt to move Dalaran to Khaz Algar was thwarted by Xal'atath and the Nerubians, leading to our expedition crashing on the Isle of Dorn's coast.
Note that there are some texture issues in the internal alpha, causing an excessive blue tint on some elements. Here's an image of the aftermath and the remains of Dalaran on the island.
The quest text for "Violent Impact" confirms that the Nerubians played a significant role in this disaster.
<The last thing you remember is Dalaran, the great, floating city of magic, plummeting to the earth--then nothing but darkness.
Mixed in with sounds of shouting and battle, you hear a strange, insectoid chittering.
The nerubians were waiting for you.
You must rejoin the fight, but first you need to free yourself from the crushing weight of the rubble piled atop you.>
For those still following, it looks like Dalaran will be devastated following a fierce battle with Xal'atath's forces. We can expect an NPC to provide a glimpse of the city as it was before the War Within, and of course, cinematics from the team of epic proportions!
In the official press kit, we also get to see Alleria standing near the Dalaran debris.

It's time to take a look at the new zones coming with the War Within, as Blizzard provided plenty of screenshots in the Alpha press kit! There's even a possible spoiler for a zone story or dungeon in there (but we've hidden it if you don't want to see, so don't worry)!
We'll start with the big enemy of the expansion, as the nerubians gather in Azj-kahet:
Then there's the big crystal zone, Hallowfall, one of the coolest ones coming!
One of these screenshots might actually be a solid spoiler for either the dungeon or the storyline of the zone, so we'll just hide it behind a spoiler tag, so you can see if you want to check it out or not.
And then there's the Isle of Dorn, our entryway to the expansion and the home of the Earthen!
And finally we have the under-dorn, aka the Ringing Deeps, where the Earthen maintain ancient Titan machines.
So, which one's your favorite so far?
