The ticks of my Chaos Bolt are NOT crits! Something weird happened because here is a tick JUST before this little section... 21:28:35.502 Zagam Chaos Bolt Desecrated Weapon 5 *48312* Curious to see if others notice this. It appears to be during P2 when I use Havoc on one of the weapons and fire into Garrosh. I was curious to see if anything broke when they hotfixed Paladin tank threat with Eternal Flame....I may have found it. Liquidsteel 279 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Haven't noticed it myself, but most of the time I'm using havoc for immolate/incinerate to push boss faster as it's still pretty close to getting second transition when we push him into p3. Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Yes, Havoc CB DoT ticks. Curious to see if this is a Garrosh only thing. I only use GoSac on Garrosh, so I haven't witnessed any of this up until this log. Only seems to show on the lock Glyphed for havoc (or the one that uses it for CB's and not just incin/SB) Seems to happen Immediately before Havoc is used in both the cases it shows up.... Which seems very odd..... This links to last nights logs but only includes Paragons and garrosh, you can check teh previous day for the rest of teh zone as we both run GoSac. Also I think Shadowburn often uses glyphed havoc so could be good to check over. Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Doesn't matter WHEN it's happening - there is clearly something amiss for an ability that ALWAYS critically hits to not be critically hitting. Of course, it's the DoT applied when using GoSac, so it's largely inconsequential, but it IS something that isn't working as intended. My results are during P2, not during a transition. Now I know Pandemic does stupid things with the DoT when you clip it. I'm just not sure if this is the issue because my CB's were independent of each other - I think. Pandemic will sometimes roll the damage up into another DoT and report it as a normal hit, but we can CLEARLY see the non-crits being just below half of our crits which means it's doing it wrong. I think it's identified as a Havoc Chaos Bolt DoT not getting the 100% crit treatment, which might also mean it's scaling of crit damage might not be working either. Zagam 1,982 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Locky and I use Chaos Bolt to break people out because we found it cannot kill allies anymore. It brings them to 1HP and breaks them out. The secret? It also puts an "invisible" absorption shield on that player for a second or two and allows healers to top them off. No idea where it comes from, but if you look at the log of someone MC'd carefully, you'll notice them getting a fake absorption shield out of nowhere.
