[Guest Wand Wrong]

Blue Diamond Witchwand drops in Karazhan from the Opera event.

The one that drops from Ambassador Hellmaw is Soul-Wand of the Aldor.

It's also not the only healing wand.

Calming Spore Reed drops from Rokmar is Slave Pens Normal and is plus 20 healing.

Thanks for the catch.  The wand drop was copied over from the pre-raid section and I missed it when updating with new items.  It is the only healing wand that drops in t4 raids.  In the pre-raid gear section you can see the different gear options from non-raid options; but the phase 1 BiS page is focused mostly on gear upgrades found in raids.

Hello, regarding Main Hand optionals for Pre-raid gear, I would suggest Steamvault Normal second boss (Mekgineer Steamrigger) staff - Serpentcrest Life-Staff as the easiest option for Holy/Disc Priest also. It's easy to farm and you get double benefit of increasing rep with Cenarian expedition.

It is a good staff to get early on, but 1 handers are much stronger, offering more healing than most staffs offer before raids.  So a 1-hander is the recommended weapon.  The staff linked on the guide is only mentioned as it is BoE, so it can easily be bought and equipped.

The link in pre-raid best in slot has a link to p1 bis which links to p2 bis (which I get kind of) but it would be nice to still see the p1 bis for those still getting a little more gear to start doing t5. So, in other words p2 pre-raid bis aka p1 best in slot. I hope this makes sense.

Hey, thanks for the comment.  It is a little confusing I agree, but a pre-raid list should always be around so people new to the game or on a fresh alt have a list of gear they can farm before stepping in raids on any phase.  If you are raiding in T4 to gear up a bit before T5 you can simply use the Phase 1 bis list to see what big pieces you can get or whatnot.  Good luck in T5!

Are there any suggested stat equivalents for the stat priority described here for choosing one piece of gear over another? For example: choosing between a glove that gives +5 to extra healing versus one that has +10 spirit +12 intellect? How would one determine if one piece is more advantageous than the other despite both having desirable stats though the most desired stat is in lower quantity than the lesser desired stats?

Typically quantity will win out when talking about desired stats over getting the most desirable stat slightly higher.  In this case 10 spirit and 12 intellect beats out 5 bonus healing. Over time through playing more and more you will get a feel for your stats and their value.
