It's very strong and there's no real second profession available for us, so it's a decent option.  However, I don't think it's worth it.  In Tier 5 you'll ideally want to be wearing engineering helm and 4 pieces of Tier 5, which includes Tier 5 chest.  Tier 5 chest is quite amazing and lasts for awhile, even being usable all the way into Sunwell.  So the BSing chest is very, very strong, but IMO not worth the investment.

Just to clarify the reason for all the stam stacking...warriors do not need hit in TBC due to expertise for threat and hit only helps with taunt landing resulting in wasted stat?

No, hit rating is still used for melee attacks.  It is just not as important in Phase 1 as the DPS do not put out significant threat in this gear stage.  That being said, you can still optimize for more hit rating through certain gear pieces or gems.

Block value has some utility for threat as well as mitigation due to scaling Shield Slam damage which is (afaik) the Warrior's highest Threat-per-GCD ability. How does block value compare to other stats on the threat list? Is it, say, more or less valuable than agility, crit rating, etc?

It's one of the lowest on the list.  It only increases the threat on shield slam, where something like crit scales everything.  It's near the bottom, higher than strength and attack power which are your lowest "threat" stats.  Block value has the added benefit of being both offensive and defensive though, so that's a factor to keep in mind.  It also has the added benefit of being very strong for creating snap threat, so it's a good option for stuff like heroics/raid trash where fights are very short and bursty threat is much stronger.

I'm curious, if Latro's remains the best threat alternative because of its fast speed, how would THC rate against Mallet of the Tide? Since THC is slightly slower than LSS.
