World First Magtheridon & Karazhan Clears by Progress

Recommended Posts

24232-patch-71-detailed-karazhan-preview

Progress are the first guild to clear Magtheridon's Lair and Karazhan in Burning Crusade Classic. Congratulations!

Earlier today, the guild claimed another World First kill and defeated Gruul. Now, they cleared Karazhan as well as Magtheridon's Lair, successfully winning the race to the World First Tier 4 clear in Burning Crusade Classic.

First, the guild went to Magtheridon's Lair and defeated the raid boss located in Hellfire Penninsula. You can find the full logs here.

Then, they continued with Karazhan in Deadwing Pass. Here is a short clip of Progress finishing the raid. Full logs are available over at Warcraftlogs.

We would like to congratulate Progress on clearing all 3 raids!

Yeah it was harder because you hadn't spent 15 years practicing and it was actually the first time.

I don't think the difficulty really started to ramp up until Black Temple and Sunwell; the most infamous boss in TBC was M'uru, but mostly only for its tight DPS checks; we'll see if any of them pose a serious challenge to the modern WoW community.

Mass Dungeon Leveling with World Buffs, almost perfect Preraid BIS Gear with Naxx, with legendaries everywhere, all tactics, classes and setup known and 15 years of experience. If you expected anything else you can't be helped

Kara was never hard to begin with. Only reason for a wipe was someone stupid breaking CC on morose, or some tragically unlucky infernal spawns on Prince. Sure, they blitz it in days rather than weeks, but like most people said this time around you know leveling routes, fight mechanics, BIS lists are on every website, guilds were pre-formed without the fight of "staying" in vanilla because you could literally copy a character if you really wanted to stay for a bit.

Nothing that's old will be hard to anyone trying. You're not figuring *filtered* out, and the tools are just far better. Even Gorefiend in Black Temple which was notoriously hard because one person could *filtered* up, the mechanic practice too used to be a shitty flash clicker. That was the best that existed after a while of it being out. I'm sure someone will code a better tool given an hour.

Update: the buff is now live on NA and EU servers as well!
It's time for joy on TBC Classic servers, as the Joyous Journeys 50% extra XO buff has gone live on Oceanic servers. It was late Monday morning for that region when it went up so we should be seeing the buff arrive shortly to EU and then NA, but it's definitely coming today (Monday).
The buff was said to arrive "at least 6-8 weeks" before WotLK Classic's launch, and we've already seen a leaked release date from the official site for September 26th, which is 1 week later, but it's now safe to say September is the target month at least.
In any case, now is the time to level up those classes you may have wanted to try out for WotLK Classic!

Prepare for #WrathClassic with a 50% XP boost.
