For eons the Jailer was bound within The Maw. Now, his endless armies gather as he prepares to enact the final stage of his grand design. In the face of annihilation, Bolvar marshals his last remaining allies to charge into the heart of Torghast and confront the Jailer where he is most powerful.

July 28 – Raid Finder Wing 2 (Soulrender Dormazain, Remnant of Ner’zhul, Painsmith Raznal)
August 11 – Raid Finder Wing 3 (Guardian of the First Ones, Fatescribe Roh-Kalo, Kel’Thuzad)
August 25 – Raid Finder Wing 4 (Sylvanas Windrunner)

Tarragrue

TARRAGRUE

The Jailer’s relentless beast, the Tarragrue, has stalked the halls of Torghast since its first spire was raised. Countless victims have felt their souls trampled to ash by this monstrosity, which now awaits the mortal champions breaching the threshold of the tower.

The Eye of the Jailer

THE EYE OF THE JAILER

When Azeroth was young, Odyn traded his eye to Mueh’zala to peer into the Shadowlands. Vain Odyn was deceived, for the Jailer twisted the Eye to serve his own ends. The Eye’s unwavering gaze allows the Jailer to see all that transpires within his domain—and perhaps others as well..

The Nine

THE NINE

The dark pact Sylvanas struck with the val’kyr forged her bond with the Jailer. Through the years, these winged sisters faithfully served the Dark Lady, even if it meant sacrificing themselves on her behalf. Now Sylvanas calls her nine val’kyr to fight for her one last time.

Sun King's Salvation

REMNANT OF NER’ZHUL

Intended to herald the Jailer’s reign on Azeroth, the first Lich King, Ner’zhul, proved unworthy in his master’s eyes. The last remnants of the fallen orc’s twisted soul were encased in spiked shadowsteel, condemned to everlasting torment for his failure. All who cross his path will share in his suffering.

Soulrender Dormazain

SOULRENDER DORMAZAIN

Soulrender Dormazain extracts anima from the hellaciously brutish captives of Torghast to fuel the Jailer’s armies. The tormentor has never met a soul he couldn’t break, but his latest victim is proving resistant to the usual methods. Feeding on this captive’s unending rage, Dormazain will enjoy spending millennia finding his weaknesses.

Painsmith Raznal

PAINSMITH RAZNAL

Painsmith Raznal is a sadistic mastermind who spent eons perfecting the deadly traps found in Torghast. He relishes the screams of his victims as a testament to his skill, listening with malignant delight as they echo through the tower’s desolate halls.

Guardian of the First Ones

GUARDIAN OF THE FIRST ONES

Pulled by the Jailer’s chains from a distant, unknown realm, this malfunctioning guardian seeks to protect the inscrutable knowledge known as “cyphers.” It uses the last of its power to obliterate any who would attempt to plunder the secrets of its enigmatic makers.

Fatescribe Roh-Kalo

FATESCRIBE ROH-KALO

Once a fatescribe entrusted with Korthia’s countless secrets, the Mawsworn seized Roh-Kalo and bound him to the Jailer’s will. With Torghast’s power at his disposal, Roh-Kalo seeks to author a new fate for the Shadowlands.

Kel'Thuzad

KEL’THUZAD

The nefarious Kel’Thuzad awaits at the apex of the soul river, allowing the lich to draw upon an unlimited well of power. All his countless schemes and machinations have led to this final confrontation, where he has plotted the mortal champion’s ultimate demise in service of his true master.

Sylvanas Windrunner

SYLVANAS WINDRUNNER

With Oribos in peril, a desperate battle at the pinnacle of the Sanctum begins. Standing between the Jailer and the mortals who would stop him is Sylvanas Windrunner. With no masks left to wear, the Banshee Queen unleashes her full power to protect the Banished One while his ultimate plan unfolds.

SPOILS OF THE SANCTUM

The path to the Banished One’s loyal Banshee Queen is paved with treasure.

New Pets and Mounts

Pets: Eye of Allseeing (The Eye of the Jailer), Eye of Extermination (Mythic-difficulty The Eye of the Jailer), Irongrasp (Soulrender Dormazain), Mawsworn Minion (Kel’Thuzad)

Mounts: Vengeance (Mythic-difficulty Sylvanas Windrunner), Sanctum Gloomcharger (The Nine), Hand of Hrestimorak (Glory of the Dominant Raider)

Shards of Domination

Empower your gear with Shards of Domination, a new type of powerful gem looted from the bosses lurking within Sanctum of Domination. These remnants of the Runecarver’s work have long augmented the Jailer’s armaments, but now you can seize them for yourself and turn the tables on the Banished One. Shards exude three different types of runic magic: Blood, Frost, and Unholy. These ghastly gems can be socketed into gear with Domination sockets, enhancing your characters’ damage, mitigation, or healing abilities. While each individual Shard’s power works anywhere, inserting three of the same type into your gear creates a Rune Word, granting you a powerful boon that increases your combat potency even further within the Maw, Torghast, and the Sanctum of Domination. Each class has five different armor pieces that can don a Domination socket which can be looted from the raid. Defeating raid bosses can also reward you with Stygian Embers, which you are used to upgrade your Shards and further enhance their potent bonuses.

To rank up your Shards, visit Bonesmith Heirmir in Korthia after completing Chapter 3: Focusing the Eye storyline in the Chains of Domination campaign.

Blizzard President J. Allen Brack sent an internal email to Blizzard employees, addressing the allegations from this week's lawsuit.
The president called them "extremely troubling" and said that he'd be "meeting with many of you to answer questions and discuss how we can move forward", according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.
Placeholder for tweet 1418512291218264065 Here's a full transcript of the mail (courtesy of Jason Schreier).
      J. Allen Brack
      Hello Blizzard -
I personally have a lot of emotions coming out of yesterday, and I know you do, too. The allegations and the hurt of the current and former employees are extremely troubling.
I know many of you would like to receive more clarity. While I can't comment on the specifics of the case as it's an open investigation, what I can say is that the behavior detailed in the allegations is completely unacceptable.
It goes - without saying - it is completely unacceptable for anyone in the company to face discrimination or harassment. It goes - without saying - that everyone should feel safe working here, whether we are on campus, at BlizzCon, or working from home. It goes - without saying - it takes courage to come forward, and all claims brought to the company are investigated by internal and (when needed) external investigators. We take these claims very seriously. Claims made without fear of retaliation, and many times, I attend to them personally, along with our other leaders. Stepping back - when I talked with Bobby about taking this job, one of the first things I mentioned was a revered saint of the Brack household - Gloria Steinem. Growing up, the value of women as equals, understanding the work that had been done for equal treatment, and the fact that there was still much to do, were common themes. This is just one of the reasons why the fight for equality is incredibly important to me. People with different backgrounds, views, and experiences are essential for Blizzard, our teams, and our player community. I disdain "bro culture," and have spent my career fighting against it.
Iterating on our culture with the same intensity that we bring to our games is imperative, with our values acting as our north star. This is some of the most important work we do, both as professionals and human beings.
A company is more than a legal construct that exists as a piece of paper in a filing cabinet in Delaware. The people that work at the company make it what it is, through their actions and creations. Each of us plays a role in maintaining a place of safety for one other. And it is also up to each of us to continue to craft the Blizzard we want - and commit to doing our part in keeping Blizzard great but always aspiring for more.
The leadership team and I will be meeting with many of you to answer questions and discuss how we can move forward. In the meantime, I wanted to know that you can talk to any man ager, any HR partner, any member of the legal team, or to any one on the executive team [including, Hey J]. If you feel more comfortable by talking to someone outside of Blizzard, or prefer to be anonymous, you can contact the Way2Play Integrity Line (CENSORED).
I feel angry, sad, and a host of other emotions, but I also feel grateful to work alongside a set of leaders and thousands of employees who join me in their commitment to continuous improvement.
      Thank you Blizzard.

Domination Socket Helper is an addon that prevents you from replacing/destroying Shards of Domination in Patch 9.1.
Shards of Domination should always be extracted using Soulfire Chisel. However, if you decide to replace them, they will be destroyed in the process, which is where Domination Socket Helper comes in handy.
       What Does the Addon Do?
Prevents you from replacing a Domination Shard and adds a button next to the socket which safely removes the shard.

Destroying the item or selling it to a vendor is also blocked.

I will add more functionality when I have time. (Hopefully, a window that lets you add shards without dragging them from your bags)
You can download Domination Socket Helper here.

It's been a big few days for the Race to World First, as the EU re-clear meant an actually pretty tense race for World 3rd, as Pieces and BDGG went at it trying to see who can defeat Sylvanas first and we got 5 guilds past the Banshee today!
While the top 2 has been determined for a while now, that doesn't mean the race is over, and we had yet another EU vs. US face-off on our hands! We actually had 8 guilds progressing on the final boss of the Sanctum today, but only BDGG, Pieces and Method were actually close to a kill. After a lengthy re-clear, both Pieces and Method were back progressing on the boss, and Pieces were doing well, managing to get under 50% in 134 pulls, and then after a few wipes, this happened:

Yep, that's right. 0.16%. THE closest any guild has come to defeating Sylvanas... without actually defeating her. It took Pieces over an hour to recover from that close of a call, but they did manage to focus up and get that extra tiny fraction of HP down, claiming and defending their previous World 3rd!

BDGG were the biggest  movers in this tier, as they caught up to Pieces quite quickly and gained 5 spots on the world stage since Nathria, earning their World 4th!

And finally, we got our 5th place guild today, as Method also improved from their Nathria performance, climbing 2 spots!

We still have plenty of guilds still progressing on Sylvanas, 6 to be exact, 5 spots in the top 10, and the Asia first yet to be crowned! And as a final treat, here's Complexity-Limit's multi-PoV World 2nd video:

The state of California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing has filed a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard.
As initially reported by Bloomberg Law, the lawsuit comes after a 2-year investigation and claims, among other things, that the company fosters a "frat boy" culture where female employees are subjected to constant sexual harassment, unequal pay, and retaliation, with cube crawls in which male employees "drink copious amounts of alcohol as they crawl their way through various cubicles in the office and often engage in inappropriate behavior toward female employees". It also claims Activision Blizzard's leadership has not addressed any of the listed issues nor prevented them in the workplace.
The WoW team was also talked about specifically: "Female employees working for the World of Warcraft team noted that male employees and supervisors would hit on them, make derogatory comments about rape, and otherwise engage in demeaning behavior, the agency alleges." Former WoW Senior Creative Director Alex Afrasiabi and Blizzard President J. Allen Brack are mentioned in the suit as well, and Afrasiabi's inappropriate behavior was allegedly well known and not handled well by Brack. Afrasiabi did quietly leave the company in 2020, however. Many Blizzard employees have come out about their experiences at the company, and you can read many of them on the WoW reddit here.
The lawsuit asks for an injunction to force Activision Blizzard to comply with workplace protections, deliver unpaid wages, pay adjustments, back pay, lost wages and benefits for female employees.
A spokesperson for Activision Blizzard sent a response to IGN, claiming the suit includes "distorted, and in many cases false, descriptions of Blizzard’s past" and that "The picture the DFEH paints is not the Blizzard workplace of today. Over the past several years and continuing since the initial investigation started, we’ve made significant changes to address company culture and reflect more diversity within our leadership teams." There's more to the response which you can read at the end of the article here.
Here's a link to the full lawsuit, which you should definitely take a look at.
