Spectral Sight Is Spotting Some Vey Interesting Things!

Recommended Posts

First off, spoilers for a big part of the coming 9.1 campaign, despite this actually happening on live servers, so don't read on if you don't want to know.

It seems one of the main plot arcs of 9.1 is being pretty solidly revealed by those pesky blind Demon Hunters on live servers! While the infiltration storyline has been hinted at since Shadowlands release and we've seen it start to play out in the first part of the 9.1 story already, its later stages in Revendreth and Sinfall has not been made clear on live servers just yet (and won't be for a while). However, several players have spotted the dreadlords within the Venthyr Covenant sanctum using Spectral Sight, which is a pretty strong hint at the future development of that particular story arc.

Starting with No-Water-9360 a few days ago, Demon Hunters have been finding more and more of the sneaky dreadlords hiding in Sinfall:

Tavian the Innkeeper- demon??

Found in Sinfall using Spectral Sight

So I noticed something off about an NPC in Sinfall. Then used spectral sight and I got this. I think I know what's going on here.

While we know what happens in the story from the PTR (and you can check it all out here, including the ending cutsene), it's really cool that players are coming across this via an in-game ability, and finding the infiltration as true Demon Hunters. It really is one of those immersive, emergent gameplay things that WoW is really missing recently, even if it just a foreshadowing of what's tome come.

I think after this, you'll see a rampaging horde of DHs running to Oribos to take a look at Jaina... just in case.

Our latest mini guide covers how to easily unlock Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm, the Wrath Classic promotion mount, on live servers, even when you don't play Classic.
How to Easily Earn Frostbrood Proto-Wyrm Mount in WoW
      1. Buy a World of Warcraft subscription if your account is currently inactive.
      2. Open Battle.net and download Wrath Classic.

      3. Log in to the game, browse all servers and sort them by population. Pick the realm with the lowest population to avoid long queue times.
      4. Create a Death Knight character. Your first Death Knight created in any realm (except for fresh realms) is free of restrictions, according to Blizzard, so you WON'T NEED AN EXISTING LEVEL 55 CHARACTER ON THE SAME REALM.
      5. Complete the Death Knight introduction questline. Your character must finish the questline leading to the point where you enter your faction's capital city and talk to your leader. For Alliance characters, you must complete the "Where King Walks" quest. For Horde players, the counterpart is named "Warchief's Blessing". The intro takes about 2 hours to complete.
      6. At this point, you should automatically receive the mount on live servers. Find out by logging in to the live version of the game.
The promotion ends on November 28 with the release of the Dragonflight expansion.

It seems there's some (short-term) goodies available on the Dragonflight Beta, as all the WoW Trading Card Game loot cards are available to use for free there! This has been the case for a number of Betas now, but some players may not be aware, so if you're in you can check out any of the toys, mounts etc. that you normally won't be able to get your hands on (outside of spending a lot of money on them). For context, the Spectral Tiger mount was recently sold for almost $5,000 and a lot of the other items are also pretty expensive. On the beta you simply talk to the NPC, select the item you want and you get it in your inventory.

These are the sets from the TCG game, each having heir own loot cards.

You can find Landro Longshot in Booty Bay at 42.6, 71.6 and try out his wares if you have the Beta.
