Sanctum of Domination Mythic Race: The Top 5

Recommended Posts

It's been a big few days for the Race to World First, as the EU re-clear meant an actually pretty tense race for World 3rd, as Pieces and BDGG went at it trying to see who can defeat Sylvanas first and we got 5 guilds past the Banshee today!

While the top 2 has been determined for a while now, that doesn't mean the race is over, and we had yet another EU vs. US face-off on our hands! We actually had 8 guilds progressing on the final boss of the Sanctum today, but only BDGG, Pieces and Method were actually close to a kill. After a lengthy re-clear, both Pieces and Method were back progressing on the boss, and Pieces were doing well, managing to get under 50% in 134 pulls, and then after a few wipes, this happened:

Yep, that's right. 0.16%. THE closest any guild has come to defeating Sylvanas... without actually defeating her. It took Pieces over an hour to recover from that close of a call, but they did manage to focus up and get that extra tiny fraction of HP down, claiming and defending their previous World 3rd!

BDGG were the biggest  movers in this tier, as they caught up to Pieces quite quickly and gained 5 spots on the world stage since Nathria, earning their World 4th!

And finally, we got our 5th place guild today, as Method also improved from their Nathria performance, climbing 2 spots!

We still have plenty of guilds still progressing on Sylvanas, 6 to be exact, 5 spots in the top 10, and the Asia first yet to be crowned! And as a final treat, here's Complexity-Limit's multi-PoV World 2nd video:

Was one of the best races in a while imo. Even though my team (Limit) lost, it was still a great race.

It was close and could've gone either way. The contenders all showed up big and were biting at the heals of the two heavy weights. Also, seeing BDGG get in there was really cool imo. They can for sure compete for WF in the future. It's also nice to see Method getting back in fighting shape. I was watching their DK's stream (cruella) and she couldn't stop smiling after the kill and that was neat to see too.

Great race 😄

Honestly, it was IMO the worst race since Emerald Nightmare, Sylvanas should've been harder. She Sylvanas ffs.  Raid Cleared in first Week is kinda, weak..

Yeah it woulda been nice if she lasted a little longer. Aside from that though... 😄

I personally don't think it matters how hard a fight is, or how impactful a character is. If the top players are willing to spend hundreds of hours in both preparation and execution, all raids should be done in a week. The top guilds raid more in a day (during progression/splits) than half, if not most, guilds do in a week.

I think the raid was very mediocre (except for painsmith, he's my hero) but the race was spectacular. I do believe it was the best race yet, too bad it was in such a meh raid (in terms of the race I mean, I have no idea how the raid is for the general//Heroic/Mythic player progression).

Xirev has once again conquered World of Warcraft, achieving 100% completion in Dragonflight's Achievement Points!
With the latest update, Patch 10.2.7, Xirev clinched the final achievement, Hunt the Harbinger, achieving full points in Dragonflight. Congratulations!

Xirev is currently sitting at an impressive 46,390 achievement points, but the time and effort to get this far is spread across 14 years of dedicated gameplay!
Xirev recommends other achievement hunters to prioritize limited-time events and, beyond those, focus on completing specific subcategories.

Mythic Jaina is now easier to solo in Patch 10.2.7, and there have been some tweaks to G'huun as well!
According to numerous Reddit reports, Mythic Jaina is easier to solo with the launch of Dark Heart.
In the off-boat phase, she won’t freeze you anymore, which is a relief since that mechanic was the main cause of deaths during solo attempts.
Mythic Jaina has a 1% chance to drop Glacial Tidestorm, a sought-after Water Elemental mount.

The Conclave of the Chosen in the Dazar'alor raid seems to have been fixed too; you won’t be permanently silenced anymore. However, Rastakhan is still capable of one-shotting players, but his totems no longer zombify.
Updates to G'huun in Uldir mean that the orbs no longer slow or root you, nor do they give you a debuff. Yet, you still need to deposit them simultaneously.
So far, there's no new information on Mythrax in Ny'alotha, who remains notoriously difficult to solo. We'll keep you updated with more details soon!

The mount you get upon completing all Awakened Raids on Normal difficulty supports Dragonriding.
Awakening the Dragonflight Raids on live servers awards the Voyaging Wilderling's Harness mount. With the third week of Awakened Raids, players have now earned it and figured out the mount fully supports Dragonriding even before the War Within pre-patch!
