Domination Socket Helper Addon

Recommended Posts

Domination Socket Helper is an addon that prevents you from replacing/destroying Shards of Domination in Patch 9.1.

Shards of Domination should always be extracted using Soulfire Chisel Soulfire Chisel. However, if you decide to replace them, they will be destroyed in the process, which is where Domination Socket Helper comes in handy.

 What Does the Addon Do?

Prevents you from replacing a Domination Shard and adds a button next to the socket which safely removes the shard.

Destroying the item or selling it to a vendor is also blocked.

I will add more functionality when I have time. (Hopefully, a window that lets you add shards without dragging them from your bags)

You can download Domination Socket Helper here.

The things we do to prevent stupidity. Sometimes we should just let stupid happen and it might make for a smarter player base.

Well an additional in-game warning that tells you socketing another Shard will destroy the first one wouldn't hurt, but there's none, and replacing sockets naturally by putting a new on top of the old one is muscle memory, so the addon does a really great job at reminding us that Shards work differently.

This is a really great idea and the addon works well.  The domination shard system has some significant design flaws that can easily lead to losing a valuable item.  This makes it less easy to do.  Though I'd not suffered from that error, this will help ensure that it doesn't happen.  I think it's a must have.

In their continued effort to remove inappropriate references from the game, Blizzard desexualized two paintings in this week's Patch 9.1.5 Build 40196.
The first in-game painting of a woman was completely replaced with a fruit painting. We compare both paintings below.
      Old 9.1.0 Painting

      New 9.1.5 Painting

The second painting is an update that adds more armor and fidelity.
      Old 9.1.0 Painting

      New 9.1.5 Painting

Blizzard continues to remove inappropriate references from the game. In Patch 9.1.5 alone, they renamed multiple achievements, Mac'Aree to Eredath, and more.
