Conduit Upgrade Items Will Be Specialization-Specific Starting With Next Reset

Recommended Posts

Starting with next week’s reset, Blizzard is making Conduit upgrade items specialization-specific, instead of class-specific.

Hello everyone

You bring up a valid point about the conduit upgrade items not being specialization specific. It can be frustrating when you get a conduit for a spec that you may never use.

To address this, we’re working on a change that will go live with next week’s restarts that will allow Soultwining Crescent Soultwining Crescent and Death-Bound Shard Death-Bound Shard to grant conduits based on your current specialization instead of by class. In order to receive the conduits of the spec of your preference, you will need to switch your specialization fully, changing Loot Specialization won’t work.

In addition to this change, we’re increasing the drop rate of Death-Bound Shard when completing Adamant Vaults in Torghast, Tower of the Damned.

Thank you for your feedback!

Timewalking xp warrants a midweek update, but this nah, just save them in your bag for few days for literally no reason other than some weird power flex by devs.

Adding functionality to an item that previously didn't exist is not the same as modifying the current value it provides. Also, much like seasonal gear, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work on ones you obtain before reset. Not to stop you from hoarding them, but because of how object creation works.

It is a welcome reprieve but this should of been implemented at the start of SL; would of saved a lot of players time via grinding Conduits the first time around.

"Power flex by devs"..... "power flex... by devs"...

yea they're! flexing buddy! flexing because youre bothered by something that doesnt exist. Theres no reason for this to be added mid-week. Demanding instant gratification much?

The fact that you defend Blizz in this case is the exact reason we get the game quality that we do.... this is a PREMIUM sub'd game.... Zero reason they needed to "nerf" timewalking XP in the first place... and to do it midweek is ridiculous....  This conduit problem has been an issue since 9.1 and doesn't warrant a quick hot patch? Hold them accountable!

I suspect the haste used to "fix" the Timewalking concern was partly because the event is only a weeklong, but also because the effects of what they were trying to fix were a lot more impactful in the short term.  With the change they are waiting for for reset, while certainly welcome, the impact is more of a convenience than anything else - it's not being used to "fix something wrong or unintended" but more to change a prior, intended design to function in a way that is preferred.

Damn, this is welcome news.  I don't play Blood spec, except when I solo Torghast, and I don't do Unholy at all. So it's really frustrating having the majority of my conduit upgrades go to stuff I don't ever use, before I get one that's useful (and thus, waste a purchase, since I've yet to get a conduit upgrade drop from raiding in SoD).  At least now, I know my purchases will be targeted and I won't be wasting research currency.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
