Hunter Solos +15 Halls of Atonement First and Last Boss

Recommended Posts

EsUNB47XAAEk4wT.jpg

TheLastKiwi is back with his dodgy pet and has moved on to the Halls of Atonement after the General Kaal solo!

As mentioned in the Kaal video coverage, there are more bosses that can be taken down using the Tiny Dancing Shoes Tiny Dancing Shoes anima power from Soggodon (one of the Tormented Tormented lieutenants), and the next two TheLastKiwi has taken on are Halkias and the Lord Chamberlain in the Halls of Atonement +15. This time around it wasn't just Survival however, as Beast Mastery made an appearance for the Lord Chamberlain, so the Hunter variety has expanded! The affixes were Fortified Fortified, Raging Raging and Explosive Explosive, the video below is actually two separate attempts (as you can see from the timings) that were put together, and this is still really impressive:

Here's a lot more details from TheLastKiwi, from the reddit thread:

Unfortunately I didn't solo the whole thing but I can say with certainty that I could solo all the trash and half the bosses given enough time. I tried hard to solo boss 2 and 3 but the adds on boss 2 wreck me and the shadowbolt on boss 3 wrecks my pet. I never made it past 75% on either.

...

Yea, this was 2 runs. The first I was given a key and let to go on my own, the second I had help from people that intentionally left at the last boss for me and I guaranteed them weekly completion. I tried both the 2nd and 3rd bosses solo but the adds cast too fast on boss 2 and I can only avoid 1 leap. On the 3rd boss I can kick 2/3 shadowbolt volleys but that means I can't kick the shadowbolts and they hit for 30k and kick my ass. It wasn't possible for me to leech health fast enough.

What you don't see here is the 40min or so of attemps I did on a +10 as a proof of concept to find a consistent strategy for Chamberlain. A lot of bosses just reset immediately when you feign but he did not so once I figured that out and it wasn't a fluke I just needed to get the timing of when to revive my pet and when to feign.

...

FAQ:How does your pet not take damage? Tiny Dancing Shoes from Soggodon tormentor gives you 100% chance to dodge for 2 attacks. Hunter pets scale off of all of the owners stats, including dodge, so as long as I don't lose stacks by getting hit then my pet will keep their dodge chance. As for the ground pound and ground effects hunter pets also take 95% reduced damage from aoe and is passively leeched back.

For Halkias I was just given a key and let on my way. I first went for Soggodon to get Tiny Dancing Shoes then next went for the 3 shards to spawn the boss. What isn't said in the tooltip is that channeled physical aoe effects as well as physical damage ground aoe effects do not take off a stack of the shoes even if you dodge. This effectively means that you become immune to the shard thrash in HoA, the bladestorm from Deathwalkers and spin up from Headless Clients in DoS, and the ground swirlies from gargoyles in SD as long as you do not turn your back to them. So that is how I dealt with the shards. In the process of doing this I learned that the light beams have a z-axis limit and you can just stand above them if Halkias is tanked next to the stairs. Although that did not greatly affect my run I thought it was an interesting fact I should share.

For Lord Chamberlain I changed to Beast Master because of the way he deals damage to the tank. Specifically that every 30 seconds he puts a dot on the tank that deals a massive amount of damage which I cannot stop. To combat that I had 2 pets out and when one died he had another target to attack while I waited for the next Stigma of Pride. This could have been done as survival with the Craven Strategem legendary to reduce my feign death cooldown to 15 seconds but would have involved running away every 25 seconds and ressing my pet then feigning the threat back to my pet. This would have resulted in the fight taking considerably longer. As it was I was having problems with threat and I did not want to pull aggro in mele range and end my attempt immediately so I made the hard decision to do it the more reliable method and do it as BM. I keep my pet dead on purpose waiting for the next Stigma of Pride to be cast. If I were to res my pet immediately and be interrupted (by an explosive spawn or telekenetic throw) then my secondary pet would despawn causing me to have to immediately start ressing again with full aggro from the boss and then immediately FD to get threat back on my pets, with the threat problems at times I would not have FD up for this. As stated above I could have used the FD legendary to mitigate this threat but I opted not to, honestly because I didn't realize it until after I killed it.

Let's just see how far this pet dodge strategy goes and how many bosses it can take down!

Now's the perfect time to unlock your missing Plunderstorm rewards with doubled Renown gains until April 30th!
      (Source)
Hoist the sails and batten the hatches; a Plundersurge begins this week with weekly maintenance!
The Plunderstorm event is ending on April 30, but until then, pirating players can double the amount of Renown earned from all sources of Plunder by taking the Plundersurge.
      Set Sail for the Plunderstorm
Plunge into a challenging battle that earns excellent rewards for World of Warcraft® Modern and Classic progression realms. All you have to do is survive…and plunder. Can't seem to stay in the realm of the living? No problem. Plunderers still gain progression that helps unlock new rewards.
Each match is 10-15 minutes long and has 60 players per match, with the winner being the last one standing. Level up and acquire new abilities and spells by killing creatures and enemies, looting chests, and avoiding the encroaching storm.
      A Pirate's Life for You
The Arathi Highlands is the backdrop for this pirating adventure, and you'll have plenty of challenges to keep you busy.
      Prepare to Plunder
Plunderstorm is perfect for pick-up and play! No expansion purchase is required, but a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time is needed to participate in a high-stakes, play-by-the-seat-your-pants match. This means that Classic players can also participate in a plethora of plundering fun by simply installing the modern (Live) World of Warcraft client:
Launch the Battle.net desktop app. Click the World of Warcraft icon at the top. If the icon is missing, click on All Games and select the game from the list. On top of the Install button is a drop-down menu. Confirm that you wish to install World of Warcraft. Click Install. Once you’re in modern WoW:
Select Plunderstorm2 from the World of Warcraft game menu to get into the action. Create a new, ready-to-play character—player characters are unique to this event. You don't need previous knowledge of races and classes to chart your course for mayhem. Choose between Solo or—to play with your Battle.net friends—make a group from the Plunderstorm character screen and select Duo. If queued for a Duo without a partner, you'll be automatically matched with one. You can also access chat, customize characters, and see the queue from the Character Select Screen. Action Bar and Abilities, Worthy Mates
Discover lootable spells, abilities, and upgrades as you plunder treasure chests and defeat enemies. Upon picking up, spells and abilities are automatically added to your Action Bar, with two slots dedicated to offensive skills and two for utilities such as leaps, speed boosts, and crowd-control.
Some abilities are more action-based and require good positioning and player targeting. Have fun discovering and experimenting with different combinations to find what works for you.
Upgrades to Your Spells and Abilities
Your spells and abilities can be upgraded by discovering higher-quality versions from treasure chests or finding the same ability elsewhere and stacking it to Rank 3 (epic). There are also plenty of plundering opportunities—various treasure chests with different rarities that harbor all types of abilities are stashed around the map. Always stay on the lookout for better loot and upgrades.
      Spectating Spectre
Upon death, keep watching the match from the perspective of your teammates (if they're still alive) or other players, including their loadout.
      Rewards A-Plenty for Plundering Pirates
Players can earn cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts as they progress through the reward track. These include the majestic Polly Roger parrot mount, Bubbles the crab pet, swashbuckling cosmetics, 750 Trader's Tender from "Keg Leg's Crew" for use on the Trading Post, and more. 3 A victory is not required to claim the spoils of a well-fought fight.
To view Renown and apply the Plunderstorm weapon and transmog customizations, change titles, or summon pets, swabbies can click on Da'kash Grimledger standing directly in front of the spawn point in the Plunderstorm lobby.
Customization unlocks are simultaneously unlocked for Dragonflight characters and can be found in your Collection. Each Renown level unlock is noted in colored text under the reward name, whether the reward is for Dragonflight, Plunderstorm, or Classic.
Perch on the shoulders of this parrot instead of him perching on yours! Proper pirate fashion is a must for plundering! There isn't a better first mate on the high seas than Pirate Pepe! Plunderstorm Content Update Notes

Check out our first look at MoP Remix coming in Patch 10.2.7!
When Patch 10.2.7 goes live, you will be greeted by the following screen, informing you about the MoP Remix event and its objectives. There will be a button that lets you create your Timerunner (character).

Similar to Plunderstorm, there will be an icon on the character screen for MoP Remix with the number of days remaining.

Timerunners will be marked with a special icon next to their name on the character selection screen.

When you first enter the game, you'll start with a short intro quest on the Timeless Shore. Your character will be affected with the Pandaria: Remix buff.

The quest intro features a few unique quests before you start replaying MoP from the very beginning. It introduces you to Bronze, the event's currency used to buy items and upgrade gear.
Throughout your journey you will come across some very unique gear just like this cloak (Cloak of Infinite Potential) that permanently increases in power (Timerunner's Advantage).

Your char will have access to two important Timerunning abilities.
Extract Gem - Extract a gem from one of your socketed items. Unraveling Sands - Summon Unraveling Sands that transforms your unwanted items into Bronze. Gems offer a lot of customization in MoP Remix and you want to extract them with Extract Gem, because placing a new gem on top of a socketed one will make you lose it.
If you come across unneeded gear, you can scrap it for Bronze with Unraveling Sands.

Things seem to be stabilizing a little, at least at the very top, as our DK-Rogue trio remains solid this week. There's plenty of movement below that though, so let's dive in.
Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. The u.gg rankings at the bottom are raw DPS. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it's AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
It seems we have a stable chart at the top, as the DK-Rogue sandwich is exactly where we left them last week! We do see a big mover right after that, however, as Elemental jumps three spots up into 4th, pushing Retribution down one. Fury remains stable in 6th, followed by Frost Mage, which gains a spot at the expense of Outlaw, which is down three. The three A's are still sticking together, with Arms, Assassination and Arcane all moving one up, and the Rogue moving ahead of the Mage at the end of the top 10.

95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
It's Survival's week this time around, as the Hunter bursts up nine spots into 7th, with the top 6 remaining the same. Elemental rises here as well in 9th, gaining three spots, as Havoc drops two at the end of the top 10. Marksmanship joins fellow Hunter Beast Mastery in the bottom 3, taking Feral's place.
All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Unholy moves to the top of the pack in the direct damage charts, just barely taking Subtlety down. Survival makes an appearance here as well, moving six spots up into 6th, as Assassination and Shadow push Balance out of the top 10.
All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Heroic
      Overall Damage All Percentiles

All percentiles Heroic data by Warcraft Logs.

      U.GG Raw Mythic DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.
Arms is on the way up, gaining three spots in 6th and pushing Havoc down one, as the Fyr'alaths start compounding here as well. Fire moves three up in 9th, as Frost DK drops those same three spots just outside the top 10.
      Mythic chart by u.gg.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for more information you can check out our Dragonflight class guides, Amirdrassil boss guides, the raid DPS tier list, as well as more data from Warcraft Logs here.

As many expected, it seems everyone's favorite farm won't be making it to Remix: Mists of Pandaria, as spotted by TheYamagato.
This makes perfect sense, since it's a limited time event and the farm is a long reputation grind based on daily activities, and just wouldn't really fit with the shorter runtime. The farm itself is still there, but the NPCs that start the quests are not, replaced by the new Timerunning ones.       And so we're going to have to skip the farm when 10.2.7 comes along, but hey, it's still there on regular old retail if you really feel the need!
