While mostly reiteating what was already mentioned in the recent 9.1.5 customization post, Blizzard also mentioned they will be adding 5 natural hair color options for Void Elves after player feedback and that the Highmountain Tauren will be getting more options "next":

Blizzard LogoAdditional Customization (Source)

Greetings!

Yesterday we announced that after hearing the passionate feedback around our decision to not add additional customization options until after Shadowlands, we’ve decided to implement more options sooner.

The upcoming 9.1.5 update will introduce new character customization options for two Allied Races that didn’t get as much attention as the rest, the Nightborne and Lightforged Draenei. You can look forward to new hair styles, hair colors, facial hair, skin colors, accessories, horns, tail length, tattoos, and more!

After hearing how excited all of you were around the new customization options, we saw that many of your comments were requesting more natural hair colors for Void Elves. We relayed this feedback to the team and they were able to add 5 natural hair color options for Void Elves to the 9.1.5 update.

In addition to these new customization options, 9.1.5 will also introduce other cosmetics such as:

  • Ear Size options for Void Elves
  • New Travel Forms for Druids
  • New Soulshapes for Night Fae
    • New Crittershapes to unlock: Soulshape into an adorable squirrel or other small critters. Note: Due to their tiny appearances, they are only usable in rested areas.
    • Option to Soulshape and Crittershape into randomly collected appearances.
  • New Toys

Character customization will continue to be expanded upon in the future, with our sights set on Highmountain Tauren next.

Yes, because new customization options 2 expansions too late will save WoW.

It certainly shows how woefully out of touch Blizzard is. The barbarians are at the gates and they're adding an ear slider.

"our fans are upset with us and disenfranchised! quick - add all that tiny QoL *filtered* from years ago that we thought they didn't deserve at the time!"

Toxicity in WoW community is beyond imagination. Whine and argue and insult about every possible thing even actual positive useful changes and contents.

What the hell is happened to humans and this world. What a dark and scary place Internet now became.

Don't like it? Cancel. Show them with your money, since you're convinced that's the only thing they'll listen to. Every month your subscription ticks by though, your soap boxes get weaker and weaker.

To be fair consumers can complain all they want, particularly if they're paying for a monthly subscription.

Clarification: I haven't had a WoW sub since December 2018.

I think people are overreacting in this case. These were existing options, but for some reason they weren't enabled for allied races. It's not like it's going to take away some development for zones or raids. Besides people doing art are not the same ones as those designing mechanics for example.

I see what you're saying, but "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything all" applies to, I don't know, a child's science project. Not a multi-million dollar juggernaut that has set the bar high in the past. IMO of course. I respect your stance, I just don't think Blizzard needs coddling in this regard.

Character customization doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I'd rather see armor sets (especially class sets) than hair styles, personally. The lack of this level of detail in this xpac really shows how much either budget cuts and/or the pandemic have cut into Blizz's development cycle.  Hopefully, this gets fixed in future releases (patches and/or expansions).

What would be nice to hear about at this point is some news on the development on 9.2.

Blizzard is adding new Feet cosmetic armor to the game in Patch 9.1.5. In this post, we're looking at the new items in more detail.
Tauren and Trolls will appreciate new boots coming in the latest patch. On the 9.1.5 PTR, they can be purchased from the Trial of Style NPCs, but their source remains unknown for now. Below, we previewed all the new models.
      Rare Boots
      Augur's Walkers

      Bloodbathed Slippers

      Boots of the Blightbelcher

      Cleric's Sabatons

      Cold Cage Moccasins

      Conjuror's Slippers

      Keeper's Strides

      Patroller's Footwear

      Shadow-Stitched Stalkers

      Stalker's Treads

      Thief's Footpads

      Virulent Gravetreaders

      Epic Boots
The epic-quality boots look better than the rare ones. Currently, we found four different tints of epic feet cosmetic armor in the game files.
      Corrupted Cleats

      Freezing Footguards

      Pustule Prancers

      Searing Stompers

Undaunted, the deaf and hard-of-hearing Warcraft guild, have completed Ahead of the Curve: Sylvanas Windrunner. Congratulations!
Undaunted is at it again! The guild earned AotC Denathrius and cleared 3/10 Mythic Castle Nathria on March 26, 2021. Yesterday, a post on Reddit revealed that they now downed Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Now, Mythic difficulty awaits. We wish them the best of luck! Here is a screenshot of the guild shared on Reddit.

In something that has now become a new WoW tradition, players have been gathering to celebrate the end of Summer as we now have a very thematic seasonal clock in the game! The circle is complete as we've now seen all 4 variations of the mount in-game as well.
While WoW is pretty static when it comes to seasons and, well, time in general, we now have a really cool connection to the real world in the form of the Wandering Ancient tree mount, so we'll be seeing gatherings like these below a lot!

      Source: Galaxy_119.
And some will be showing the tree off in its natural habitat, proving that even ancients can be VERY stealthy in the right conditions:

      Source: drinnster.
The Wandering Ancient is really awesome and adds extra interactivity and "feel" of the world - definitely one of the better additions to WoW in recent memory and we hope to see these little changing of seasons rituals continue on forever!
In case you're new or missed when the mount arrived, it should be in your mount collection tab already as  gift if you have Shadowlands purchased, now head on out there and showcase the new Fall colors!
