Sanctum of Domination Mythic DPS Log Rankings, Week 8: Survival Still in the Headlines

Recommended Posts

Another light-green week as Survival uses its very low log count to break through to the very top! Despite the rankings for the Hunter spec not really being representative/very accurate, we love to see a perpetual "loser" get its 15 minutes of fame, even if it is based off of a few lucky parses! We'll also be looking at Painsmith and Sylvanas rankings, to see how they're changing week-to week, as more and more guilds get to the encounters, since the two of them really are the key benchmarks in the raid.

Mythic Rankings

The Warriors are having a bit of an exchange in the 95th percentile as Fury drops 6 spots like a stone, but Arms is right there to represent the class 1 spot below where Fury was last week. Elemental takes the opportunity to move on up into the top 3 with the top 2 unchanged, and Survival is now in the top 5 in the higher percentile as well (but has a very low parse count, under 500 actually, so take its ranking with a big grain of salt as only a few good logs can affect its standings, especially with latter bosses still having relatively low representation in general). In the lower end Frost Mage dropped quite a bit and Arcane is on another upswing.

The big upset in the all percentiles bracket is a continuation of last week's Hunter craziness, as Survival has moved on up from 5th into first place! Once again, as mentioned above, with the number of logs being this low (sub-500), these can't really be considered very accurate rankings for Survival, but it's still fun seeing the perpetually bottom-tiered spec up on top for a change! In the more realistic rankings we see Elemental move past Affliction and Subtlety jump a whole lot (5 spots), while the bottom remains basically the same, as only Shadow moves up a little.

Painsmith Mythic

Painsmith Raznal is the main obstacle for many, many guilds in the Sanctum, even after several nerfs, so he's a very good point to dive into the boss-specific rankings. It's still very important to note that for both the below bosses, the number of logs is still VERY small, as even the 5th boss, Painsmith, has 900 logs as the highest and 5 (Survival) as the lowest.

Sylvanas Mythic

As for the final boss lady, we see Ferals drop off this week and Marksmanship rise, perhaps seeing their DPS fueled by a hunger for the bow. Meanwhile, Elemental skyrockets into 4th, and Arms surprisingly drops down a few spots.

Heroic Rankings

We're not lacking in log numbers in Heroic, but that also means there's less changes as it remains pretty stable with the two Rogues on top. The next 6 slots see each pair just swap places as Balance, Shadow and Demonology move 1 spot up each.

Undaunted, the deaf and hard-of-hearing Warcraft guild, have completed Ahead of the Curve: Sylvanas Windrunner. Congratulations!
Undaunted is at it again! The guild earned AotC Denathrius and cleared 3/10 Mythic Castle Nathria on March 26, 2021. Yesterday, a post on Reddit revealed that they now downed Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Now, Mythic difficulty awaits. We wish them the best of luck! Here is a screenshot of the guild shared on Reddit.

In something that has now become a new WoW tradition, players have been gathering to celebrate the end of Summer as we now have a very thematic seasonal clock in the game! The circle is complete as we've now seen all 4 variations of the mount in-game as well.
While WoW is pretty static when it comes to seasons and, well, time in general, we now have a really cool connection to the real world in the form of the Wandering Ancient tree mount, so we'll be seeing gatherings like these below a lot!

      Source: Galaxy_119.
And some will be showing the tree off in its natural habitat, proving that even ancients can be VERY stealthy in the right conditions:

      Source: drinnster.
The Wandering Ancient is really awesome and adds extra interactivity and "feel" of the world - definitely one of the better additions to WoW in recent memory and we hope to see these little changing of seasons rituals continue on forever!
In case you're new or missed when the mount arrived, it should be in your mount collection tab already as  gift if you have Shadowlands purchased, now head on out there and showcase the new Fall colors!
