The New Anima Cap Is Already Not Big Enough for Some, and Causing Problems for Others

Many players breathed a sigh of relief with the recent Sanctum Anima cap increase to 200,000, but for some it's already not big enough, and for others it's actually creating a bigger issue than the previous smaller one!

After Monday's hotfix increased the cap to 200K, some players pretty much instantly filled up their reservoir as they had quite a bit of Anima saved up in their bags and banks:

With the huge amounts of Anima coming in from Korthia, it's no wonder players are already capped, but there's another issue brought up by catch_fires, as the increase is actually creating a problem for them, based on the instant transfer from your bank items:

The key problem here is the fact that when you deposit any Anima into the reservoir, it actually takes all your bag AND bank items and puts them in there, so there's basically no way to control how much goes in. Generally speaking taking Anima from your bank doesn't seem like an intended interaction, so hopefully this will get addressed at some point as well, as many players have been talking about being very surprised that's how it works for a long time now.

While all of the above many be edge-cases and Blizzard have actually already implemented an "Anima dump", it showcases how any change, however positive, always has some problems that come with it.

He can stop farming it. He's beaten the anima aspect of the game now.

I do think they should have just removed the cap though.

You get so much anima just doing other things though. So you don't really have to farm, it's just comes by itself. On reset yesterday I got about 10k anima just doing quests for rep (paragon chests) or rares that still have mogs that I want.

Easy fix for this would just be to have the covenants share the anima deposit once you can freely switch. No need to worry about depositing too much, or having to buy a bunch of gear to get a refund from the other covenants vendor.

I think that, due to how there are multiple indicators as to how full your Anima Resevior is, there has to be a cap to it, otherwise those functions don't have any thing to call, and could cause bugs.

Undaunted, the deaf and hard-of-hearing Warcraft guild, have completed Ahead of the Curve: Sylvanas Windrunner. Congratulations!
Undaunted is at it again! The guild earned AotC Denathrius and cleared 3/10 Mythic Castle Nathria on March 26, 2021. Yesterday, a post on Reddit revealed that they now downed Sylvanas on Heroic difficulty. Now, Mythic difficulty awaits. We wish them the best of luck! Here is a screenshot of the guild shared on Reddit.

In something that has now become a new WoW tradition, players have been gathering to celebrate the end of Summer as we now have a very thematic seasonal clock in the game! The circle is complete as we've now seen all 4 variations of the mount in-game as well.
While WoW is pretty static when it comes to seasons and, well, time in general, we now have a really cool connection to the real world in the form of the Wandering Ancient tree mount, so we'll be seeing gatherings like these below a lot!

      Source: Galaxy_119.
And some will be showing the tree off in its natural habitat, proving that even ancients can be VERY stealthy in the right conditions:

The Wandering Ancient is really awesome and adds extra interactivity and "feel" of the world - definitely one of the better additions to WoW in recent memory and we hope to see these little changing of seasons rituals continue on forever!
In case you're new or missed when the mount arrived, it should be in your mount collection tab already as  gift if you have Shadowlands purchased, now head on out there and showcase the new Fall colors!
