Spit Target Emote Removed in Patch 9.1.5

You can no longer target a player and spit on them in Patch 9.1.5.

Blizzard first removed the /spit (target) emote in Burning Crusade Classic Patch 2.5.2. The same change now went live with the first build of Patch 9.1.5 on the PTR, with the following entries removed from the EmotesTextData table.

  • %s spits on %s.
  • %s spits on you.
  • You spit on %s

You can still type /spit in the chat to "spit on the ground", but if you target another player, no message will appear in the chat.

In an ongoing effort to remove inappropriate references from World of Warcraft, Blizzard also renamed some achievements in the forthcoming content update.

Woke snowflakes. Murder is ok but spitting is definitely out.

How do i respond to the socially challenged now ?

/cry

The fact you know to use it on "the socially challenged" to elicit an emotion means you know why it should not be in the game.

/fart and /burp are the new meta! Also /rude and /insult could do, I guess.

Personally, I loved using /spit back in the day when PvP servers had widespread wars at Tarren Mill or in Stranglethorn. Legit grudges would develop and you'd get spit on and vice versa. Thankfully no one spit on me in real life from it.

Wonder if they're going to remove being able to sit down on a player's head next?

tbh, shoulden't even have been in the game from day 1

That's sad man. Should be. Maybe we will change swords and bosses into sticks and piñata? Because it is bad to kill other player... 🙂

You have to know how to separate real life from game and how to control your emotions and language. /spit won't change anything.

We've already checked out the new 9.1.5 Druid travel forms, but now we're going to find out how to get them and take an even better look at them all as LestTV gives us a tour of all the new forms!
In short, the easiest way to get them is by just simply buying them from the Auction House, although that might up being expensive in the first weeks of the patch, so we also get to see where to get the Inscription recipes if you want to get them that way. You'll need various reputations for some of the recipes, just grind some mobs to have it drop for others, one is from the meat-craving merchant, and one even has you going back to Legion to get it!

We have some amazing fan creations to take a look at, as Simaia finished a big project focusing on ideas Paladin "class skins" for all races, including Allied ones as well! We have Night/Moodblades for Night Elves, Blood Knights, Silver Hands and Riftblades for Void Elves, Lightblades and Shadow Knights for Fosaken and a lot more!
Head on over to the full twitter thread to see them all in once place, or check out some highlights we picked below:

Some truly impressive work there, and if you want to see all 13 new Paladin race looks, head on to the main twitter thread here. Thanks a lot to Simaia and we hope Blizzard take into account just how much players want new class/race combinations, especially for Paladins!

After a long time waiting the final quest needed to complete the The Zovaal Shuffle achievement (for players that have been keeping up with it), the Ember Count, is now up on NA realms (and presumably on EU soon as well, once the Kyrian Assault opens later today).
The reason the Zovaal Shuffle is important and players have been waiting since the patch launched to complete it is that it's part of the On the Offensive meta achievement (which allows you to buy Covenant-specific mounts with Death's Advance), and it in turn is part of the Breaking the Chains meta - which brings with it the Hand of Salaranga mount! However, the mount reward itself is bugged at the moment, with multiple players reporting not having received it after completing the achievement.

If you're not sure what to do for the achievement, you need to find Gubbins, grab the Mawproof Parasol and then dance near 5 forges in Zovaal's Cauldron. You can find Gubbins in one of 4 locations: 40 41; 35 43; 32 42; 36 36 (as mentioned by MMO Champion).
