wow New Legion Timewalking Affix in Patch 9.1.5 - Infernal

A new affix that will be active during Legion Timewalking has been added in Patch 9.1.5. Check out how it works!

It's called Infernal and currently comes with the following placeholder description: "[PH] Legion Stuff". While Blizzard hasn't commented yet on the affix, Patch 9.1.5 Build 39977 adds a lot of "Summon" and other spells that are likely associated with the new Legion Timewalking Affix.

Based on that, we speculate that the affix summons various Legion Commanders with different abilities and each also comes with adds.

We think at 33/66/100%, it summons a random commander that you need to defeat and you must face all three commanders to complete a Legion Timewalking Mythic+ Dungeon.

Commander Borramus (Summon Immortal Commander)

• Battle Frenzy - Commander Borramus goes into a frenzy, increasing Borramus' and nearby demon allies attack speed by 50%.
• Fel Bombardment - Commander Borramus signals an artillery strike, inflicting 33 Fire damage to players within 8 yards of the impact area.

Observer Ongrax (Summon Beholder Commander)

• Eye Beam - Ongrax blasts the target with Fel energy, inflicting 25 Fire damage to the primary target and leaping to their allies.
• Observe Weakness - Ongrax exposes the weakness of their enemies, increasing their damage taken by 50% and reducing movement speed by 50%.

Infiltrator Deraxis (Summon Spider Commander)

• Shadowy Ambush - Deraxis marks players for an ambush, after 4 sec a spider ambushes the target inflicting 20 Shadow damage to the target and players within 5 yards.
• Web of Concealment - Deraxis creates a web that conceals their forces. Players standing in the area have their movement speed reduced by 30%. Creatures standing in the area take 90% reduced damage from area effects and have their movement speed increased by 30%.

Other Spells Related to Legion Timewalking

• Rain of Chaos - Infernal meteors rain from the sky, inflicting 12 Fire damage to players standing in the area. If Rain of Chaos fails to strike a player, an Infernal will land at the impact location.

The following spells are associated with the various adds that come with the 3 commanders.

• Beholder Commander Summon Demons
• Immortal Commander Summon Demons
• Spider Commander Summon Demons

Loving this. Though I wish they added this to other TW dungeons. I mean, would be that difficult to add Mythic+ to Wrath dungeons?

i mean it prob be hard since legion had mplus when it was current content so very little prob had to be done to make this happen

Honestly, this entire idea with Legion M+ sucks major *filtered* unless they tune down the ilvl of the loot to not be on par with raiding/high keys or rewards being novelty items. 

And if they do not, you'll more than likely see tons of rage comments from players who will have to wait ~3 months for a chance to loot whatever suddenly-BiS item will drop there. Looking at you, Angeborda or whatever that MoS trinket's name was, and the Arcway necklace.

If you looked into it a little more before raging, you would see that neither MoS or Arcway are in the rotation. CoS is and has the nice melee ring, and all 6 dungeons have trinkets, though we've no idea if they'll remain on the loot table, or how they will be balanced.

Further to that, not only will the loot be scaled up, each M+ will count towards the vault that week. ^{sorry for using WH but easiest way to do it as I knew it existed}

They haven't been designed with m+ in mind. Then they have to redesign the whole dungeon, for many reasons, let alone for exploitative ones - since older dungeons are easier to cheese.

Yeah, this makes zero sense. They one guy who replied to you earlier completely shut this down.

Not all of us want to waste our lives hours on chit chat at attempts at one boss, and alot do believe mythic plus should have just the same opportunity at high ilvl that raiding does, just at higher key levels that right now don't give you higher loot.  Should a +20 give you as good as loot as a mythic raid boss, yes.
