40 Demon Hunters vs 40 Hunters Challenge

Here is Rextroy's latest showdown between 40 Hunters and Demon Hunters in Alterac Valley!

Background

In this 40v40, we are going to put Demon Hunters against Hunters, in this epic battle we will have 5 total clashes, and then we will see who comes out victorious!

The rules are simple, no releasing and rejoining the battle before the round has finished, and stay within the field of strife.

Also, note the counter on top, it refreshes every 3 seconds with information about how many players are left standing on each team! (as well as the overall score on the side).

Which class do you think will win? You can read Rextroy's commentary by revealing the hidden contents below.

Spoiler

Before this whole battle started, I thought Hunters would be at an advantage thanks to either a bit of lag, binding shot spam as well as pets doing damage while aspect of the turtle was on. Turns out that it was a much, much closer battle than I thought it would be!

You might notice that the amount of Demon Hunters are in some fights fewer than 40, that is because the battles aren't in chronological order. Out of the 5 battles, Hunters won the first 3, and Demon Hunters won the last 2. I decided to replace the Reinforcement count (since it would spoil earlier battles). While also making it much easier to view the exact amount of players left by counting down.

Even if it says that Demon Hunters started with 40 people every time, I just added in 1-3 random "deaths". The reason is that I didn't wanna make it obvious that a few Demon Hunters had already left while DHs were doing so well, since people would figure out that Demon Hunters might have lost (otherwise, why would up to 3 people leave while winning?)

You could argue Hunters "cheated" by running too far away from Field of Strife. However, there are no exact markers on the battlefield. The rule of staying within the Field of Strife is simply so people don't start running away to some random location on the Battleground, as well as not fighting too far away from the players' corpses. Since filming that would be less exciting!

We might put exact markers in the future, however, they would need to be the same location for both sides since one group won't see the other one's markers! Also, we wanna give enough space for ranged to be able to kite.

I will let the viewer decide what to make of the result, nevertheless, this was definitely the closest 40v40 battle so far!

Hirumaredx is back with another great video focusing on WoW's history, this time covering the life and death of 10-man competitive/maximum difficulty raiding and the lower player-count raid version in general. With the most difficult raiding being 20-man for quite a while now and Blizzard being pretty receptive to feedback, the topic of 10-man maximum difficulty raiding is a very interesting one to bring up, so let's take a look.
The main point coming across from the video is the fact that 10-man raiding for the hardest difficulty was much more popular than 25-man, as the video goes into the timeline of the addition of 10-man raids, the switch over to Mythic and addition of flex. Hirumaredx also talks about the reasons it was removed, from the balancing difficulty, to the weird raid compositions, the basically hand-me-down raid design, the top guilds not considering it where the real competition was at, how the mode could be brought back and much more.
It's very much worth a watch if you're even a little interested in WoW history or raiding!

Timebound Ruminations is a new item that you can purchase in Oribos to immediately grant your Companion 5,000 experience.
Patch 9.1.5 introduces a very useful way to catch up on Companion XP if you want to give Covenant Adventures a try or plan on switching to a different Covenant.
Timebound Ruminations can be purchased from Au'Dara a new Heirloom Vendor near the Flight Master in Oribos and costs 10,000 Reservoir Anima.

The item can be used on any Companion to grant them 5,000 XP. We tried upgrading Sika (Level 1) and the Companion went up straight to Level 14.

The item's also Bind-to-Account, meaning you can purchase it on one character and send it to another.

Patch 9.1.5 has been available for playtesting on the PTR for some time now, and with no release date set, we're speculating when the patch and 9.2 could hit live servers.
The last few 9.1.5 builds only contain minor updates to the game, which means we can now start speculating about the patch's release date.
As Tyrsenus points out, Shadowlands is 65 days behind schedule, and public testing averages anywhere between 60-80 days. Based on that information, we're likely to see Patch 9.1.5 hit live servers in early-to-mid November. It's also worth noting Blizzard put a placeholder date for Legion Timewalking to the in-game calendar on the PTR that reads November 2.
Patch 9.2 could hit PTR between January and mid-February, according to the player, with a release date slated between March and May 2021. Note that the article is based on the current cadence, and we might eventually see the updates go live earlier or even later, so take everything with a grain of salt.

      TL;DR
The likelihood of Patch 9.1.5 hitting live servers in early-to-mid November are high, and the predictions could be accurate. Everything related to Patch 9.2 are just wild guesses. Source: Reddit
