Recommended Posts

This week's second 9.1.5 build is a Release Candidate, and with it, Blizzard banned another type of "borrowed power" spells from the Timewalking Mage Tower.

In Build #40738, Blizzard restricted the use of Soulbind Powers in the Timewalking Mage Tower. For clarity, we're posting a list of all banned spells and gear below:

I was curious about the usage of old legos or the current ones. Appears it might be challenging enough

  • Runecarving (Legendary) Powers;

Shadowlands Legendarys are disabled for MT

MT wasn't really that hard in the end it was mostly a DPS race so if you where well hc/mythic tos geared it was for the most part not a problem since you figured out the fight

i did some with gear less better then antorus lfr / normal ilvl gear

so they need to find the right balance for the stats template in order to make the dps checks possible
but some classes rely on the borrowed powers so that will not be an easy task

hope they take their time and dont rush this i mean we obviously wont get 9.2 this year so it matters little if we get the mt in oct nov or dec just tune it right please

enable legion legendarys and scale the template for some classes down so its not a one shot seems the better idea for me but i doubt they'll do that because that would force ppl to farm the old leggos

To be fair what made the mage tower relatively easy IMO was the usage of the leggos. They provide an amazing spike in power despite being undergeared. I can't say the same for healers because that is the type of class that really struggled depending on which one you played (like holy paladin) but enh shaman was a breeze especially since I wasn't present for nighthold/ToV tier.

even more for tanks which was a disappointment for me because tank challenge was just a simple dps race and well some movement so you won't get kicked off the plattform

and that was the problem why some tanks had an ridicules easy time and some had a very hard time
DH was pretty much a one shot warrior and dk where pretty tough because the single tar dps was not that great

but yeah the right leggo made a difference

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.

      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
