Crazy PvP Toy: Dismounting Players While Airborne

Recommended Posts

cdbY0mW.jpg

Here's a really crazy one, as Rextroy has found some more broken stuff, this time with the perfect troll toy which allows you to actually dismount ANY player, Warmode on or off, same faction, everything - even while you yourself are flying!

Perfect timing for this trick-or-treat time of year, this one is going to be pretty annoying and is going to make a lot of players paranoid when they see another flying mount coming towards them, as this is much better than the Net-o-Matic, with much bigger range and it works on same-faction, Warmode off as well! It's also a very easy one to pull off, as all you need is the All-Seer's Eye All-Seer's Eye (from Orix the All-Seer in the Antoran Wastes) and a macro, so let's take a look:

And here's the accompanying explanation:

Background:
This toy, called All-Seer's Eye is obtained in Antoran Wastes. You have to grind 1000 Intact Demon eyes which you can obtain from most demons. The northern part of the zone seems to be the most efficient! (Also don't forget to interact with the All-Seers focus first, to be able to have the eyes drop)

All-Seer's Eye All-Seer's Eye

This item is kinda fun and broken... It gives you mind vision on the target, and by using the extra button, you will send a "whisper" to them. This somehow makes them dismount.

This gives you a toy that instantly dismounts anyone, including your own faction!... Since the toy has no limit to enemies only.

Even better is that by combining this with the new feature / bug that came in Shadowlands, were you can cast anything in the air if you use it while mounted and while having the "Auto Dismount in Flight" active in the Interface, you can dismount ppl instantly even while in the air yourself!

Here is the macro to do so:
/cast all-seer's eye
/click ExtraActionButton1

It is way better than Net o Matic, since it has an insane 150 yards range! It also works with Warmode off! There are many places you could have fun with this item, however the most reliable locations are probably where the enemy can't survive even with slow fall effects.... Such as Netherstorm when people are flying towards Tempest Keep! Or maybe the elite mobs in the Maw

doesn't this go against Blizzards rules on using a bug in the game to do something like this?

Indeed, one way or another. Rextroy has always found some entertaining/harmless stuff. Sad to see their name attached to this one. Hope they go easy on him. Perhaps they'll few him as a bug finder based on his previous work? Likely not.

He usually reports this stuff before his videos go live so I'd imagine he's done the same here perhaps? However this isn't bugging our combat based stuff so i'm not sure.

He reports it to Blizzard and gets their permission to post about it, usually once they have a hotfix coming. Given that he released this video yesterday, it's probably being fixed through tomorrow's maintenance if it hasn't been hotfixed already.

The video compilations serve a dual purpose - our entertainment/ad revenue on YouTube, and proof for Blizzard that the bug can be replicated and is not just a one off.

I did not know this, thanks for enlightening me. I didnt look into him more beyond the occasional Icy Veins articles. Nice to know he isnt a troll, gettin famous off of hacks lol like the common CoD variety.

same for me, no idea who these people are and to be honest don't care, but do appreciate the explaining.  However, nothing was explained in the above story about who and what these person does, just a news sensation of "hey look at this and it's perfect for halloween!".  And no, I don't go to youtube - too much garbage there.

We've all seen the giant Hallowfall crystal and just how great it looks, but as it turns out, the light emanating from it actually changes in a sort of strange day/night cycle, and we get a really awesome transition into Void light animation!
First off we can see a snippet of the change in Blizzard's official short preview of the zone:
And then there's this extended look at the switch, showcasing just how impressive the animations are, by PreachGaming's Chunkeyninja:
And here's a slightly better look at the Void to Light transition, courtesy of Kexman:
The exact timing on the cycle isn't 100% clear, but MrGM noted how it works on the Alpha right now, with a 3 hour cycle, as the Void part remains active for 30 minutes:

Hopefully we'll also get some lore to go with the transition, as the light into void thing is pretty thematically interesting, as well as being really visually impressive.

It's game over until next week for 9 players who've earned every available achievement that grants points! Congrats!
The ongoing Northrend Cup has introduced new achievements for players to complete, and as we all know, some players are incredibly dedicated when it comes to racking up achievement points.
The latest one is osatox, who proudly shared a screenshot showcasing 100% completion of all point-granting achievements!
Placeholder for tweet 1785906134521671737 According to Data of Azeroth, there are currently 9 players leading the pack, having 'beaten the game' so far by mastering every available achievement that gives points.

As you're likely aware, "beating WoW" is often short-lived. The next achievement points await with the arrival of Patch 10.2.7 next week! Keep an eye out for further updates!
