List of Bosses in the Sepulcher of the First Ones (Patch 9.2 Raid)

Recommended Posts

9EfHV2E.png

Sepulcher of the First ones will be the final raid of Shadowlands, and with it, we've datamined a list of all 11 bosses that we'll face there.

For now, we have all boss names and some descriptions. Most of them are still placeholder [PH].

  • Solitary Guardian - This eternal guardian lies in wait while its susbsytems keep vigil over the entrance to the Sepulcher of the First Ones.
  • Dausegne, the Fallen Oracle - Overarching description [PH]
  • Prototype Pantheon - [PH] Pantheon of Death prototypes printed by Progenitors serving the Jailer. [PH]
  • Lihuvim, Principle Architect - With great care, Lihuvim weaves ephemera into being in accordance with the hallowed will of the First Ones.
  • Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener - Overarching description [PH]
  • Halondrus the Reclaimer - For eons Halondrus has traversed the caverns of the Sepulcher of the First Ones fulfilling its sacred purpose of reclaiming ephemera and returning it to the great cycle.
  • Anduin Wrynn - PH
  • Rygelon - [PH]
  • Lords of Dread - Overarching description [PH]
  • Artificer Xy'mox - [PH] Xy'mox and his most loyal associates caught wind of the Forerunner's Relic, an ancient Progenitor artifact said to unlock the key to weaponizing Ephemera. To defeat Azeroth's heroes this time, Xy'mox must unlock the power of the Forerunner's Relic during the encounter to turn this deal in his favor. [PH]
  • The Jailer- Overarching description [PH]

...

Welp.    That pretty much confirms no 9.3 raid right?    If the Jailer is the final boss here then, barring some asspull escape or "hey look, new villain!", this is obviously going to be a conclusion to the story.     Feels rushed of course (we still have no real idea of the Jailer's motivations or origins or such), but given the current issues it's to be expected.

Why even care? For me this whole story is just a big fever dream. I hope that in 10.0 we just wake up after Kil J ship crashed.

Xy'mox again eh?

While not the first time Blizzard has reused a boss, this IS the first time Blizzard has reused the same boss twice as a raid boss in a single expansion.

I wonder if Xy'mox will teleport the [email protected]#$ out again at the end of the fight?

Of course he will, he is demonstrably not stupid.

I think it's a pretty cool thing to have the same boss (but not the same fight) as he runs around escaping and getting more and more powerful.

No Denathrius, eh?

As one of the few decent characters in Shadowlands, Denathrius could round up the Nathrezim and give us a decent side villain in a future expansion. Given that he is probably the best informed person in the entire Warcraft universe, I am sure we will see him again down the road.

did we already finished off malganis? thought he would be the penultimate boss

Lords of Dread - This looks like it might be a council-style boss with Dreadlords. Mal'Ganis should be included among them.

We're looking at a strange bug that affects some proto-drake mounts on live servers.
Many players are reporting issues with their proto-drake mounts on Reddit. The first report is from 5 days ago. The bug affects Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake, which for some reason, no longer flies in the middle of the screen, and its run animation is twice the speed of other proto-drake mounts.

Apparently, Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake is experiencing the same issues while Reins of the Ironbound Proto-Drake and Reins of the Rusted Proto-Drake work as they should.

The second report is from 3 months ago and showcases the strange mount animation. It claims that all proto-drake mounts except for those from Ulduar are affected by the bug.

Did you experience this strange bug on live servers?

Patch 9.2.5 appears to be the first update to the game where major story elements remain heavily encrypted. In the latest PTR update, Blizzard shipped an encrypted 9.2.5 splash screen, which is something they've never done before.
Players are prompted with a splash screen when they log in to the game for the first time when an update goes live. It shows you what's new in the patch. Here's the splash screen for Patch 9.2.

The splash screen for Patch 9.2.5 was shipped in the latest build, but it is encrypted and cannot be previewed. Maybe it has something to do with the mysterious Stormwind and Orgrimmar updates or the Forsaken (spoiler alert).
However, the splash screen text for Patch 9.2.5 is available for preview but contains no spoilers.
New in Season 4! Shadowlands Season 4 - Earn new rewards in Mythic Keystone dungeons and PvP. New Mythic+ Dungeons - Experience iconic legacy dungeons with Mythic affixes! Fated Raids - Return to Shadowlands raids for a new challenge and new rewards.

Reddit user nazranramlee noticed something interesting while visiting their local hospital in Malaysia. The TV was showing the Mists of Pandaria trailer on repeat.

Apparently, this isn't specific to just one hospital in the country.
Reddit user aimlessart saw the same trailer playing over and over in another hospital they have been visiting for over 6 years, claiming they both might have been set up by the same contractor who thought the Mists of Pandaria trailer looked visually appealing for entertainment purposes.
The contractor most likely never bothered to update the visuals again, which is why the TVs are constantly running the same Mists of Pandaria trailer while people wait in queue.
