Check out new UI features in Warlords of Draenor!

As you may have seen in our recent preview of the upcoming Toy Box UI, Blizzard is adding new UI features to improve the gameplay experience. There are quite a few new UI changes coming in the Warlords of Draenor expansion, some minor and some major, including substantial improvements to existing UI. We wanted to spotlight some more of these UI changes in this article! For starters, there are upcoming improvements to the player's bag system, which will now allow for auto-assignment of items and sorting. The bank has seem sone love, too, with the addition of a new, 98-slot "Reagent Bank" tab. This tab can be used to store tradeskill reagent items, and most tradeskill reagents will now stack to up to 200. In addition, items can now be crafted using reagents stored in the bank! If all this wonderful new storage wasn't enough, Blizzard has also added a second tab to the void storage, offering an additional 80 slots of storage! Blizzard has also added a new target outline mode that gives your target a green glow on mouseover or target. Read on to check out new screenshots and information on these upcoming UI features!

Bag Changes

The current bag system has been improved to now offer sorting as well as auto-filtering for specific loot types. There are quite a few addons which offer this functionality, and unfortunately Blizzard's options are a tad limited in comparison. It's definitely a step in the right direction for those players who prefer using separate bags rather than one of the many all-in-one bag addons. Items filtering can be assigned to each different bag, and players can choose between Equipment, Consumables, Trade Goods and Junk. Selecting a filter for a bag will automatically assign items of this type to a specific bag. A bag "Clean Up" button has also been added to the primary backpack, which will automatically sort all items (except for bags for which the "Ignore this bag" option has been selected).

Bank Changes

The in-game bank's core UI has not seen any changes, and it doesn't look like the automatic assignment feature has made its away into the bank. The aforementioned Cleanup option is present, which will automatically sort the bank's contents across all of the bags. The bank also sees the addition of a new "Reagent Bank" tab. This new tab is a full 98 slot bank inventory which allows for storage of reagent items. Most all reagent items will now stack up to 200 and (most importantly) items can now be crafted using "banked" reagents! However, looted reagents will not automatically go to the Reagent Bank and must be manually deposited.

Void Storage Changes

More Void Storage slots! That's all there is to say about the upcoming change to Void Storage. There is now an additional tab to Void Storage which offers players an additional 80 slots of storage. So far, on the Alpha realms, this tab is automatically unlocked when Void Storage access is purchased, but they could always add a gold price to unlock this additional tab in a later build.

Outline Mode

A new visibility mode has been added to the Interface > Display menu, which now displays a green glow on characters which are being moused over or targeted. While a minor feature, this should go far with visibility and will definitely aid with questing! Friendly targets glow green, aggressive targets glow red, neutral targets Glow yellow, and characters that are not flagged for PVP glow blue. In addition to the new targeting glow, all quest items and nodes will now feature a yellow glow, which displays regardless of whether or not the node has been moused over. This will be a most substantial upgrade for gathering professions, as they don't benefit from the sparkles the way quest items do.

If I asked you to think of your least favorite Shadowlands World Quest you probably couldn't immediately think of one, but when you see this one and remember it, we're pretty sure you'll agree it's just the worst.
The Bastion Flight School: Up and Away! World Quest is genuinely one of the worst ever made, and when I came upon this reddit post it immediately reminded me of my own horrific experiences with it, and reading the comments it really is no one's favorite. The flowers just randomly decide not to work, and despite the fact that I've only done the quest maybe twice, this crazy feeling of rage immediately took me over when watching the footage above.
Here are just some of the comments on the wonderful flying flowers:
However, we also got an explanation on what's (most likely) happening and a potential solution!

And now let's move on to a much better WQ, with a tip for it that will make an already pretty short and chill quest even shorter! In the Aid From Above WQ, you can significantly speed things up by spamming the drop crate icon when you're in the correct position. Presumably due to server lag, you can actually drop as many as three crates at once (but will usually and consistently drop two), making the quest one of the absolute fastest in the Shadowlands.
So what are some of your favorite and least favorite World Quests in the Shadowlands?

A couple weeks ago delicatedead posted a very funny flow chart for picking the class you want to go with, and now it's been greatly enhanced with some cool images! While the actual helpfulness of the chart is debatable/right on the money, what certainly isn't debatable is its accuracy in portraying some of the specs, and it's high-level humor!

      Source.
As many players took the chart test, plenty actually got to their mains through it's choices, so there's definitely something to it! Personally I take offense at Fury Warrior not being behind a "do you want to play the best spec ever, but perform poorly on the charts" question, but nothing is perfect. Also, the one for Survival Hunter is probably the best in there.

We already talked about the weird ways the Kyrian carry specific player forms, but it seems most Shadowlands flying creatures don't have a lot of respect for the things they carry...
The Venthyr's General Draven has two very specific carrying styles himself, first the "hold them this way in case you need to smash something using their body":

      Source.
And the "it's just Theotar, who cares how I carry him" style:

      Source.
We didn't even mention the third style he uses, as it's currently involved in a lawsuit with the boomkin in question:

      Source.
But it's not just the Kyrian and Venthyr that got in on the weird carry action, as Ardenweald's denizens have their own ideas on optimal transport, and they're... well:

      Source.
And finally, the kings of in-flight comfort, the Kyrian have discovered a way to get both you and your mount on board... although the technology isn't quite foolproof yet:

The title maybe doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's a lot worse than it sounds. You may have seen the recent crazy turn speeds that created flightless brutosaur helicopters and similar, but now that particular console command is being used offensively.
After sharing the console turn speed command earlier in a fun clip, Automaton17 came back with a followup as they noticed the command being used in PvP to mess with players' controls. While mind controlling a player you can actually adjust this variable (and only this one) to completely mess with their turn speed, making it either crazy high (so that any press makes them spin wildly), or making it 0 (so that they can't move with the keyboard at all). Now I can hear everyone yelling about keyboard turners already, but most people keep their default bindings for movement keys and occasionally presa their A and D keys, so it's still a pretty big deal.
This sounds like one of those no-brainer suspension/ban causes, so I really wouldn't suggest trying this, at least not outside of a friendly duel to check out how it works and have some fun. This is quite literally editing someone else's WoW configuration while having control over their character, and while it may sound fun and entertaining, and "just" affects keyboard turners, there are still many new players that won't even understand what's happening nor how to fix it, and plenty of veterans might be confused too:
Here's the original clip of the turn speed variable changes, we couldn't find any of it in PvP action:
The full thread goes into why this one particular variable is editable while others aren't, as well as tips on how to fix it (a /reload or logout works or you can just use the /console turnspeed 180 command to reset it to default and If it keeps happening you can also just rebind your turn keys to strafe instead).
Hopefully Blizzard can address this soon, as having other players edit any of your settings is just wrong, no matter how silly it looks.
