wow World First Anduin Wrynn By Liquid: 2 Tanks and a Solo Kill in the End

As expected, the World First on the 8th boss of the Sepulcher of the First ones arrived today, as Liquid made good on their promise of Anduin going down. In an actually crazy kill, with only 2 tanks alive for the final 2 minutes of the encounter, the boss went down and we now havd only 3 left in the raid!

Starting with the 10% mark things start going wrong, as 6 people die, but the fight continues, with more and more players dying, down to 6 alive at 2%, ad the final 1.2% was carried by only the two tanks... for about a minute. The final 0.4% of the boss was actually soloed, as Scott calmly parked the World First:

It also seems there was a bug that made the fight easier, as our own guide writer Seliathan explained over on the Raider.IO love coverage:

It looks like Mythic Anduin sadly got killed with a major bug happening in Phase 3 that makes the fight quite a bit easier, which was a direct result of trying to fix another bug that made the last phase of the encounter way too difficult to deal with. The empowered Wicked Stars that Anduins casts in Phase 3 and that bounce around the room until the end of the encounter, do not deal any damage or silence a player at the moment. In previous attempts, their hitbox was way too large, and a hotfix was attempted to solve this problem. Sadly the fix didn't work out the way it was intended, instead leading to none of the P3 empowered stars to hit anyone at all. While this means that the Liquid kill happened on the back of this bug, Blizzard is now most likely forced to keep the Wicked Stars in their bugged form, which will allow other guilds to strategize around this bit of information and progress through Phase 3 even faster than Liquid did.

And the raid setup, as the boss took 216 pulls to down and quite a few nerfs as well:

Liquid are on to Lords of Dread, already having the boss down to 64% after 3 pulls, while Echo are still on Anduin, with a 19% best currently.

Really. "Lets hotfix the hitbox of this projectile and then test it with our own test team." is too much and cringeworthy if someone criticizes them for something they clearly didn't playtest?
