Recommended Posts

Khadgar visits Oribos in Patch 9.2.5 and has some endgame gossip with Jaina Proudmoore. This post contains spoilers.

The endgame gossip between the characters is only available to Alliance players. Khadgar feels old for some reason and wanted to check out Shadowlands before he dies.

Here's the full transcript:

Archmage Khadgar: Hello, Jaina.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Khadgar! It's good to see you again. When we last parted, I regret that--

Archmage Khadgar: Those were perilous times. The Legion's attack, then the war... I think we both needed to find our own way through.

Archmage Khadgar: I have no hard feelings. Only friendship.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore:  I feel the same. But surely you didn't come all the way to the Shadowlands just to find me.

Archmage Khadgar: No. For years I've read about this place in Medivh's books. I stood atop Karazhan and caught glimpses through the veil.

Archmage Khadgar: I suppose I wanted to gaze upon the realms of Death with mine own eyes before...

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Is everything alright, Khadgar?

Archmage Khadgar: I feel the weight of years upon me, Jaina. The burdens carried. The choices made.

Archmage Khadgar: Hmph! Forgive the musings of an old man. I think I'll look around and see these Shadowlands a bit. See what wonders I can find.

Archmage Khadgar: I've heard tales of conniving brokers, a city of secrets, and a land of ancient knowledge. How intriguing!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Sounds like you'll be keeping busy! Just don't leave without saying goodbye. I've missed you, old friend.

Archmage Khadgar: Count on it, Jaina. Be seeing you.

Haven't seen him for a while! I wonder what he's been doing since his previous appearance (wasn't it something about potential invasion of the Void Lords?).

Awesome! My wife and I were wondering what Khadgar was up to - he was such a big part of everything up until BfA, then... nothing.

Even he knew those expansions were bad and did not want to be tarnished by them. I do hope he's back in the next expansion and not as a villain but as a sage and guide

Wasn't he already spotted in 9.1 or so in bird form flying from Oribos into the Revendreth portal? Is this actually Khadgar, or is it a dreadlord?

Spoiler for next expansion: the devs have attempted to return to the beloved small-time hero feel of the original game in order to distance the game from the recent melodramatic and overly silly plotting. Khadgar has been diagnosed with cancer and you have to fetch his medical notes that he left in a drawer guarded by magical protectors in an instance, escort him to hospital, gather healing herbs to help him with the sickness from his treatment, and help him fulfil his bucket list of places he wants to see and things he wants to do just in case the treatment doesn't work.

The Secrets of the Forbidden Reach patch arrived this week with its new features and class tuning, and the WoW community promptly reacted and got the meme/funny image factory going.
First off we have the flood of Paladins in PvP, as players became resigned to just letting Rets have Solo Shuffle for themselves before Blizzard sped up the upcoming nerfs and made them live immediately.
Blizzard carefully deciding my teammates when I queue Solo Shuffle

      Solo shuffle right now...
      rets are the new hunters

When you play your first arenas in 10.0.7 and a retri paladin one shots you

And this last one didn't quite age well:
      Oh, We are happy!

The new cosmetic coming from the Baine questline has improved role playing possibilities:
I can finally RP ad Shadowlands Baine.
Then we have a very classic WoW experience we've probably all had:
There was also some speculation on what the Incarnates did when they were freed:
What I imagined the Incarnates were doing for all those months being free. What do you think their search history looks like?

A player ran across probably the best guild recruitment message ever:
      Nice

Beast Mastery is also on the same rollercoaster ride that Retribution is on, with it getting good after the patch and then getting some nerfs, but the spec's future is looking good:

In Patch 10.1, all races gain a new Eyesight toggle, which lets you pick between left, right, both, or none as blind eye options.
Thanks to the new customization option, each eye will look slightly different, as seen below.
